The Beginning
I was watching the news when something made me actually listen to it for the first time. "On the news today, space satillites have found alien beings on many planets. Some of them, which are off-limits to all people, are the planet Char, Shakuras and Aiur. These aliens are hostile and have shot our satillite down in a hurry. Be cautious of alien life and please vote for [{o}] as president. And that's all for tonight's news, thank you and have a good night." "HOLY BENGALASS!!" I said. Luckily we're far from those plane----" "This just in!!" barks the television. "Both alien species have declared war on the other and .... earth. All men over the age of 5 get to a local barracks for training immediatly. Not doing the following may result in imprisonment. Thank you and The Lord help us all". "HOLY KAKAROU!!!" I shouted. "Gotta get to the barracks!!"
In the barracks, my local Marshall, a man named Jim said "No need to worry. The only thing you guys need to do is act as spies. Us humans need to study these two warring ways to prevent loss of war in the future. The "Zerg" one of the alien species, are only interested in the Protoss. And the Protoss are only interested in the Zerg. So in this case, we are making you guys into ghosts so you can retrieve some information. On the battlefield, be sure that you are cloaked. "YAY!!!!" everyone screamed out. "WE'RE NOT GONNA DIE!!!!" Jim said "The battle is taking place on the 31st of Febuary 2025 of course. Everyone, be sure you are loaded on popcorn cuz' this war is gonna be a hell of a movie. Tune into channel 8962309 to watch from home. Now to get you in shape."
The War
[Febuary 31st 2025]
[{o}]:"Hello and welcome to tonite’s special presentation. Regular programming will resume after this. I am your play-by-play commentator [{o}], the great one. Accompanied by my co-host and this show's graphic desginer, |[=]|, tonight we are secretly spying on two alien races, the bug-like Zerg, against the Hitler-like, stuck-up, noble Protoss (Mwahahha Hitler-like 'n noble. Hitler-like 'n noble. Hitler-like 'n noble...) thanks to the ghost cameramen that are spread out through the map. The two alien races have been supposedely battling for years now and no one has let up. We'll see if that changes this match-up.
Map: Polaris Prime Players: Brian410 aka. '-()-()-' is commanding the blue zerg as usual. Anaba
controls the red Protoss
Starting Spots: Anaba is bottom left '-()-()-' is top right.
[{o}]: Yes we are off!! The Zerg have taken their spot on the upper right side of the battlefield.
|[=]|: Yes and the Protoss have theirs on the bottom left.
[{o}]: The Protoss have a pylon warping in on their side as the zerg have zilch. Just drones.
|[=]|: WTF. [{o}], change your type of crack, oan pills, or whatever you take! My gosh... having all drones is perfectly normal! What do you expect, Zerglings?
[{o}]: You don't have to be so cross about it. Now the Protoss seem to be putting their second resource center to use, the vespene gas. The Protoss need much gas to be effective and this isn't unusual.
|[=]|: Damn straight man!! That's cuz' their units or so damn expensive. Zerg is gonna own their asses!! Let's go ZERG!!!
[{o}]: Are you....alright |[=]|?
|[=]|: YESYESYESYESYES!! Course I am!!
[|[=]| starts running up the wall]
[{o}]: Yea OK. Sit down now.
|[=]|: OK, I think the drugs are starting to wear off now. Where did you put them? I need a bit more.
[{o}]: Uh... I don't think taking more illegal drugs is advisable. Why don't you just help me with this war that is going on here?
|[=]|: Uhhhhhhhhhh yea uhhhhhh guh...
[{o}]: Onto our match. While my fellow commentator was passing out, the Zerg acquired one of their own gas draining buildings, the Extractor, and also acquired a Hatchery. The Spawning Pool was then built on the 14th drone.
|[=]|: MORE DRUGS!!!
[{o}]: Uhhh..../ignore |[=]|. Ahh that's better. Now back to our war. A Cybernetics Core is put down from Anaba. |[=]|, what do you think about the beginning build orders from both races so far?
|[=]|: ---------------------
[{o}]: |[=]|???
|[=]|:-----------------------
[{o}]: I think he's dead!!!
|[=]|: -----------------------
[{o}]: Oh yea. /unignore |[=]|.
|[=]|: That's basically it. What I just said. In addition to that, I'm adding that both races have picked normal island build orders. The Zerg is going for a two-lair Hydralisk drop and the Protoss seem very much on going Reavers, which will splash the Zerg to death.
[{o}]: Yea whatever. Now the Protoss have started warping in a Forge probably for some drop protection. A Robotics Facility follows it directly. While the Protoss are busily making their buildings, Zerg start to upgrade on theirs. Both Hatcheries are now shaped into big balls of gooey stuff, probably double lair as our uh... hopefully-still-living strategist mentioned before. Also an Evolution Chamber is made while the Lairs are coming to existence.
|[=]|: Just barely living [{o}].
[{o}]: Now the Robotics Facility is making a shuttle. Wonder if there is a reaver drop in order. What do you think |[=]|?
|[=]|: Reaver drops are pretty effective against the Zerg unless they're neglecting ground for air. They can also win the game if they can own some Drones in the initial drop. After that, follow-up on their messed up economy and win. Of course, 2/3 Sunkens stop Reaver drops cold.
[{o}]: Well there is not a Robotics Support Bay in sight. I guess we won't be seeing a Reaver Drop from this Protoss army. But the Shuttle seems to be a use for the Protoss. A Probe has been loaded into the Shuttle. An expansion, undoubtly. What do you think about this "early" expansion |[=]|? The Zerg don't even have theirs yet and they are the usual early expanders.
|[=]|: The Protoss have an expansion advantage over the Zerg on islands due to the fact that the shuttles come very early. I won't be surprised if more expansions for the Protoss are setup before the Zerg realize it.
[{o}]: Ahhh I see. The Zerg seem to be a little lazy as the Overlords are pretty much misplaced. A few are just hanging around the main. Shouldn't they be patroling the resource nodes |[=]|?
|[=]|: What have I told you about changing your drugs? The Protoss, on islands, have a high chance of going Gaysairs and if the Zerg patrols their slow Overlords, they'll all be owned.
[{o}]: I see the cocaine has worn off.
|[=]|: Yea but don't worry. I have a few pounds in my bookbag here. Wait, is this broadcasting live?
[{o}]: Sure is. |[=]|: Uhh... I didn't say that folks. No cocaine in my bookbag.
[{o}]: Since I'm your friend, I'm not gonna turn you over to the authorities.
|[=]|: You're a good friend man.
[{o}]: Just don't do what you did last time. Ya remember when you p---
|[=]|: Seems as if the Probe has landed directly right of the Protoss's main base. That would be a great place to expand since it provides cover from attacks coming from the left side and also the chokes are bridges, which screws up AI. Now the Nexus is starting. Hey [{o}] do your job, I'm not the play-by-play.
[{o}]: Yea OK. But you're the one who interrupted me when I was gonna tell the millions and millions watching this war about the time when you accidently went into the--
|[=]|: Hey look at the Protoss!! They must have some money saved up. They just expanded lemme count.. 2...7...10...3...5...5!! 5 times!! Wow that's a first and all with one Probe!
[{o}]: The Protoss commander is taking a big risk here. If the Zerg happen to find these expansions, that's a huge waste of money.
|[=]|: The way to win in wars is to take risks [{o}], but I do agree that expanding five times could be hellish later on.
[{o}]: Whatever, you're the expert.
|[=]|: Looks like the Zerg feel as if they can take the lead and expand a few times. Too bad they don't know about the already made expansions the Protoss have.
[{o}]: Yes the Zerg seem to be expanding to their direct left. And look!! Three Overlords heading toward the Protoss main base! Everyone knows what that means.
|[=]|: Duh it's a drop.
[{o}]: Yes and the Hydralisks have landed!! The Hydralisks taking down the helpless Probes is just too hideous to watch.
|[=]|: I kinda enjoy it.
[{o}]: Yea and you also enjoy ana-
|[=]|: Hey Lurkers have come down from the Overlords! What a drop!

[{o}]: Yea. The lurkers seem to be outranging the Photon Cannons Protoss has put up for its defenses.
|[=]|: Yes they are, since the Lurkers that are attacking the Gateways have the spines that go further into the Cannons, without retribution. Plus the Protoss have not one single attack unit. Not even a zealot!! But the expansions will probably come into play sooner or later.
[{o}]: The expansions that the Zerg know nothing about, correct?
|[=]|: Yeap! When the Protoss have that many expansions vs. a feeble two of the Zerg, the Zerg better watch out.
[{o}]: What do you think of the odds of the Protoss winning?
[=]|: 10%
[{o}]: Very bad, I see. This is strange. If the Zerg knew that there were Protoss expansions, the Zerg would have won by now.
|[=]|: Yup. The Lurkers and Hydralisks and also a few Cracklings don't seem to be moving on to kill the rest of the main. I have no explanation for this. Maybe we'll get some answers in the Post-Game-Show. However, the Zerg seem to be loading up more hydralisks for another drop.

[{o}]: I hope we get some answers. Now the Protoss are putting 3, and only 3 Photon Cannons for the defense in the expansion directly right of the assualted main base. Plus the Protoss are making Stargates at their abandoned main. What the heck is that?

|[=]|: That is definitely not sufficient. Plus, the Protoss have yet to even entertain the fact of building a Gateway unit! Also, Stargates are not the thing I would build right now in my abandoned main base. Are the Protoss throwing the war?!
[{o}]: I hope not. That would surely disappoint the viewers at home.
|[=]|: Definitely. And we would lose our jobs if the viewers are disappointed and don't watch this channel anymore. Then I wouldn't be able to get my Crystal Meth!! Noooo!! Fight you stupid Protoss, FIGHT!!!!
[{o}]: Ugh, this guy really needs to go to a rehabilitation center. Anyway, another Zerg expansion has been started. This one would be to the far left of the Zerg main base, skipping the expansion the Zerg already have.
|[=]|: A timely expansion. Before, during, or after an wholesome attack is a great time to expand.
[{o}]: Seems as if that the Protoss are rolling in some money due to all those expansions. They have lemme count...........8 Stargates and a Fleet Beacon starting on the far right of the Protoss main, skipping the expansion that the Protoss have that is between them.
|[=]|: Holy cow! Wait there are more blue warping thingies!! I count 12 [{o}]!!!
[{o}]: Well I'll be! I've never seen so many buildings warping in at the same time. |[=]|, what do you think the Protoss seem to be doing?
|[=]|: Well that's more obvious than the fact that I'm on drugs. Carriers should be arriving soon.
[{o}]: Most definitely. What do you think of the odds of the Protoss winning now?
|[=]|: 50%
[{o}]: What?!?!? When the Carriers come out, the Zerg are done for sure.
|[=]|: Don't be sucked into the idea of Carriers being invincible
[{o}]: Of course not, but you'll see that when the Carriers arrive and attack that the Zerg are dead.
|[=]|: Just watch [{o}].
[{o}]: The Zerg are now setting up a few extra Hatcheries and a Spire with a Queen's Nest.
|[=]|: Seems like they want the Hive and some air support.
[{o}]: Wait what is that sound?
|[=]|: Look!! At the Protoss Aviation Center!! (The expansion with all the Stargates in it)
[{o}]: The Carriers have arrived!! Go Protoss!!

|[=]|: Seems as if the Protoss were aiming for these hulks all along. The upgrades are already 2/2.
[{o}]: Yes and the 8 Interceptor upgrade has been used too. Let's watch and see if the Zerg die now.
|[=]|: Don't underestimate the Zerg. A 4 Overlord drop has been aimed at the expansion directly under the Zerg main!

[{o}]: The Nexus is burning blue flame. BOOOM!! Now it's destroyed!!
|[=]|: Yes but look what's coming from the south.
[{o}]: The air calvary!!
|[=]|: I've counted, 12 carriers coming.
[{o}]: Holy toledoes!! Lets see if Hydralisks stand a match against bannana splits of doom.
|[=]|: Hehe. The Zerg are lazy or stupid. They aren't attacking the Carriers themselves, instead the Interceptors.
[{o}]: Is that bad?
|[=]|: 'course it is!! The Interceptors are fairly cheap to remake and plus the Interceptors usually go back to the carriers to recharge their shields. Furthermore, the Hydralisks do not have a critical mass of number in which they blow up the Interceptors faster than they are made and faster than the Hydralisks are being slain.
[{o}]: Seems like the Zerg is dead like I said before.
|[=]|: NOT JUST YET MAN!!
[{o}]: The Carriers are now advancing toward the Zerg main.
|[=]|: Look what is arriving from the east!!! About 20 scourge!!
[{o}]: You're right |[=]|!! The Zerg still stand a chance!!
|[=]|: GAH! He didn't clone the Scrouge! Gah...
[{o}]: More Scourge coming!!
|[=]|: MAN!! The Carrier attack has been decimated!!
[{o}]: But look!! 12 Scouts heading for the upper left expansion!
|[=]|: Scouts? Bah! Scouts suck.
[{o}]: But look!! The Scouts have killed.... one hydralisk.
|[=]|: Told ya.
[{o}]: Hrmm Corsairs are coming out of the stargates. 8 to be exact. Now why would you --
Carrier: Carrier has arrived!
|[=]|: The Corsairs are merely anti-scourge protection. There isn't a weird trick to this like there is always.
[{o}]: I see. Whoa! I see 12 Overlords heading for the Protoss Aviation Center.
|[=]|: They seem to be in direct alignment with the Carrier/Corsair attack force.
[{o}]: Haha. Zergbell's Overlord Broth anyone?
|[=]|: The Overlords are being sent to hell, one by one!!
[{o}]: Hah! There are only two Overlords left!! That won't be enough to take out a base!!
|[=]|: Undoubtly. The Carrier/Corsair attack force has hit the middle-top expansion!! What a move!! That's where the Greater Spire is located!!

[{o}]: Without the Spire combined with the fact that Spires take as long as Hatcheries to build, I have a feeling that we won't see many Scourge for a while.
|[=]|: True. Add to the fact that it's a *Greater* Spire being taken down.
[{o}]: Now I believe 6 Carriers are still floating and only 1 Corsair has bit the dust. Things do not look good for the Zerg here. Now do you think the Protoss have won?
|[=]|: The Protoss staged a humungous comeback. Don't be surprised if the Zerg do the same.
[{o}]: The Protoss are now moving on to the main of the Zerg!!
|[=]|: Okay the Zerg are dead. The Hydralisks do not have enough range to hit the Carriers and can only hit the Interceptors. The Hydralisks are going down!!
[{o}]: Scouts aimed at the upper-left expansion!!
|[=]|: The Carrier/Corsair attack is also still going strong and are moving out to also attack the upper-left expansion!
[{o}]: The Protoss win this one!!! HOORAY!!!
|[=]|: The final Hatchery has gone down. This war is now officially over. Please stay tuned for our Post-War-Show where we will discuss in more detail the strategies that were used. Plus we have two special guests.
[{o}]: As always, good fight!!!
|[=]|: Good night!!
