There goes the Terran Captain's natural, but he's recently gotten another
base as well. The loss of his comsat will hurt, and it's on a winning note that color=green> |]agomar closes the day.

Indeeed, as the sun sets over the shimmering, jungled horizon, both leaders
know that tomorrow will very likely be the last, decisive day. Will the tortured Protoss
survivers finally find relief, or will they be handed down from one enemy to another? Only time
will tell . . . .

It certainly will, Mike, and thanks for your excellent reporting.
A pleasure as always, Klael, and let's all take the time tonight to remember
those brave warriors who gave their lives for their honourable causes today

Keep them in your thoughts, people, and this is Klael Dickens wishing all of you a good night.

January 31th, 2500

Welcome once more, to Primetime on the Galaxy News Network. Our analysts all feel that today
will be the deciding day on Green Valleys, and here's Mike to cover what's bound to be the most
important day not only of the war, but of the year thus far. Mike, take it away.

Thanks Klael! Well the Executor has just expanded to a central expansion site, escorted by four scouts and an equal number of dragoons, as well as a lone Dark Archon. A pylon was the first to warp in, which was quickly surrounded by three cannons, and the last remaining peons have been transferred over from the mined out natural. This is obviously an attempt to change the flow of the war, for a brand new resource spot could give |]agomar the money he needs to mass produce the glorious scout fighters and take control of the battle. Now it's over to our military strategist carl Diefenbaker, who's been with us since this stoy started. Carl, what do you think of this move?

It looks like the Protoss mineral stockpile has finally run out, and they desperately need this new outpost to compete with the now superior resource intake of the Terrans. Notice the cannons, which are there to defend against the wraiths, and the large military contingent which will do battle with any cruisers that may or may not threaten the existence of the expansion.

Righto, but look at this! Five battlecruisers have broke formation and are roaring over to the fledgling base as we speak! It sure seems like obsidan has an excellent recon machine, and is using it extremely effectively!

For sure! The cruisers have now slid majestically out of the fog of war, and are appraoching firing range. This must sure be a very intimidating sight, but the brave Protoss legions are unpreterbed and those scouts are even now screaming up to engage.

The lead battleship is taking some damage now from the first photon cannon, but is effectively absorbing the plasma bolts of destruction and releasing its own laser barage. The dragoons have moved into firing position, and just look at the bloodshed we're seeing here!

This has got to be the most vicious battle yet, and the Dark Archon has hovered into spell casting range! Wait - it's charging up! The air is starting to quiver here, shockwaves are forming above the second cruiser . . . oh my god . . . .

An entire battlecruiser - that's a thousand men, have been mind controlled by the awesome psionic energies of the Archon! The massive ship swings around and begins to fire on its own fellows!

The captured behemoth and the archon both perish within moments, but the battle is definately in the Executor's favour now. The scouts have battered another leviathan into the red, and now it detonates in mid air with enormous casualties! A second cruiser's anti-grav harness is failing, and suddenly erupts in a fireball the size of New York City!

The last capitol ships are vaporized with some dragoons collapsing horrifically into the arid ground, and it's victory at last for the Executor! That's gotta hurt the Terrans; half their fleet is scrapmetal!

But it's a largely phyllic victory, since the nexus, pylon and all defenses have been reduced to ruble on the war-torn ground. A new Nexus can't be afforded, and only two probes are left to the bewildered Toss minions, these now commencing long-distance mining from those same mineral patches.

Well I'd be forced to admit that it looks over for |]agomar. He's been forced to commence the long distance mining over a very long distance, and the two probes will certainly be uncovered and targeted by patrolling wraiths. He only has 19 minerals left, and his standing army is three trapped goons in his main! Let's face it, the protoss are finished.

It looks likes the nefarious Terran Commander feels the same way, for his entire awe-inspiring capitol ship armada breaks the dark horizon over the Executor's main, who can only prepare for evacuation as he pathetically orders his 'goons to attack. All resistance is easily crushed, the dragoons falling to the ground, oozing blood from their multiple spidery joints, and the cruisers are now bombarded with canon fire. This too his eradicated without the use of a single Yamato, and the base is blown away like a desperately fleeing little crab under the blast of a mighty tsunami.

A single shuttle rises above the tropical landscape, and ascends into the twilight sky on a misty trail of blue-white plasma. The Executor has left, vowing stubbornly to return and "avenge his suffering people," while the far-away cerebrate known as Pe@ceMonger, having established himself on Ashrigo, declared that he would attack the battered planet of Lost Valleys again very soon, and his Swarm would "consume all." Who knows when another long, furious fight will explode onto the hills of this titanic planet, changing the face of the galaxy as this last war has done now?

A story ended, a war is over, a chapter closed. Thank you, Mike Garner, for your excellent reporting, you made all of us at GNN very proud. Thanks to the entire Galaxy News Network crew, including Carl Diefenbaker, Mark4, Mark Jennings and myself. So long to you all, see you tomorrow for a regular news broadcast, and I leave you tonight with a summary of the horrifying battle that now is no more.

Whew! What a long report! My disk got corrupted halfway through the writing of it, so I lost half of it and had to write it again! Oh well. I sign off now with a little exchange I was a part of in Nohunters, which I found kind of funny . . .

This has been a |]agomar production
