Lifetime Rating for NumbNut666: 5.7500 |  | Alright, it was me and someone named Viper on the map Dire Straights. We both randomed and i ended up with Toss and him Terran. I spawned bottom left and him top right. I did the dtemp drop build order and dropped 4 dtemps on him, he was doing a double cc strat (expanding to middle right) but amazingly he had sufficient detection to cover his whole base. Unfortunately for him, he was just starting to make tanks! My 4 dtemps quickly impaled his luckless marines which did manage to vaporize 1 dtemp and then the 3 others began to raze his turrets and comsat. Then two tanks popped out of his factories and his dying comsat gave off one last scan....crap, two of my 3 remaining dtemps died. My last dtemp killed one tank but could not kill the other which was near turrets he had erected while i was razing the comsat. My dtemp began assassinating scvs and got 5 or 6 before viper got the idea to run them. At the same time my dtemp died to marine fire because he had managed to turret creep up to it, my shuttle came back to his base to drop two reavers which quickly dispatched his one tank and several marines which had been built. I proceeded to use them to kill his starport which was attempting to manufacture a wraith. (i assume) Then he got another tank sieged which killed both of my reavers, (one reaver was at 6 hp, splash killed it) but it also died. Again my shuttle returned to drop 2 more reavers on the left side of his base, and they killed the control tower under construction by his newly reconstructed starport, then the starport itself before a wraith came out. He got two more tanks to add to his one and with around 6 marines was able to tank push my reavers to death although two tanks and all his marines died. During this i took two expansions at top left and middle left. This time i got two shuttles filled with 2 reavers and 4 dtemps and tried to drop him again, but saw a good defense consisting of 4 tanks, 8 marines, and 2 goliaths. I abandoned this drop but saw him attempting another exp which i quickly destroyed with this force. I also took another exp at bottom right, although i neglected to build enough peons at it. Then his sweeping attacks came. At the top left expansion, he dropped 20 goliaths which mowed through the defense of 6 photon cannons and killed my exp. I saturated the middle left expansion wwith photons in case he tried to drop there, and sure enough 4 dropships fell into the water. Now i had gotten 6 carriers and 12 corsairs, and i decided to use them. I dwebbed all 252942421 turrets at his middle right expansion, and began to kill it using my carriers, when about 24 wraiths show up and a scan appears at which point the wraiths kill all three obs although 12 of them die to my corsairs. He cloaks up and all of my carriers are gemini missiled down although my corsairs get away to over photons. Then while i wasnt watching he baits my corsairs with a wraith over a missile turret field and they all die. Then i got a piece of luck: an observer revealed 8 dropships moving about the map and i moved my carriers to intercept. He tried to drop the 32 goliaths that were in these drop ships on my in the minerals on my bottom right expansion, but my slow ass carriers could only shoot 3 of them down and 20 goliaths rain down death. My carriers fight them off but my nexus and all my photons are dead, and i only have 5 of 6 carriers left, all heavily damaged. Then large amounts of wraiths show up and finish my carriers, although i manage to kill around 15 them before my carriers, and my expansion, die. Now he uses a huge amount of resources and destroys my middle left expansion. I could swear i saw at least 15 dropships attempting to drop there. 6 of them make it through the massive photons and 5-6 corsairs i have, and 24 3/3 goliaths with hellfire just barely manage to take the expansion out. He has 3 expansions of his own now, and im dying rapidly. Well i was almost out of minerals, so i decided to try one last attack. I had a huge drop force which i had been building but neglected to use because the opportunity had never come up. I drained my mineral surplus from 2581 down to 407 making more forces to beef up this drop. It took 4 shuttles several trips to his main isle to drop them all there. I have 8 reavers, 24 goons, 6 temps, 12 zealots, and 8 dtemps. I advance on his main and easily vaporize his defending tanks. Then i see a horrific sight...7 factories pumping out goliaths nonstop. Ive never seen so many of them. They swarm at my attack force, and 3 control groups of wraiths also join the fray. He unloads his bunkers and sends the marines at mee too. After a massive chaotic battle, i survive, and 3 goons, 1 reaver, and 2 dtemps are left to beat on buildings. They actually kill half his main base and almost all his supply depots before theyre repelled, but then i concede because im completely drained.
