Lifetime Rating for Wraithfighter: 6.6667 |  | Sigh, my first report. And all things considered, probobly my last too. Any way, I was on Battle.net looking for a 2v2 temple game. I am an okay player, but i am mostly good with zerg. Any way, i join a 2v2 temple game. On my side is the a fellow named Elliot, who has way more losses than wins. And on the other side, there is SCV-ON-STRIKE and another guy, whose name escapes me for the moment. I will call him linger.
Elliot choses Terran, I choose zerg, SCV chooses Terran too, and linger choose zerg. I start with my zerg build order, which is 8 spawning pool, 9 hatch, with a minor change. I don't get the hatch until I need it. When I have 6 lings I head to SCV's base. He is constructing a wallin, but with no troops! I immediatly head for his mineral line and deal a ton of damage. I send a few more and SCV is forced to head north to his allies base. He calles me a rusher from then on. Sigh. 6 pool is rushing. 8 pool is clever. So right now it is a 2v1.5. Elliot scans linger. Like his name, linger has around 30-40 lings. I start to get scared, but remember. What owns lings? Lurkers. I immediatly start to tech to lurkers. Elliot sends mixed infantry and a tank to linger's choke. Any lings that come down are proptly wasted.
My hydros arrive as backup and soon his lings, coming down the ramp 1 at a time, are easily killed. For a while. But soon so many are coming down infantry and hydros are dying fast. But not fast enough. Our combined might is good and soon I have a half dozen lurkers. I send them up the ramp and bury them, but they are killed after killing a few dozen lings. I'm not kidding. I send another half dozen and do it again. This time I win. I kill a few buildings outside the reach of sunkens and make my way to the mineral line. He sends his army after I kill all his drones, but I am protected by minerals. The lings die by the dozens and his hive cluster soon dies. And what of SCV? He left after calling me a f***ing rusher.
LESSONS LEARNED:
1:I am a bad Battle reporter
2:SCV sucks defensively
3:this part is only for me to get at least a 3
4:Lurkers > lings, even with detection
5:linger sucks
6:elliot ain't that bad
7:I RULE!
8:Temple rules.
SIGH. PLEASE give me at least a 5
