Lifetime Rating for Entaro Adun: 6.0000 |  | The map name is Dire. This is no B.net game. It's a modem game against a friend. I could not remember his online name. So I call him Player. I chose Protoss and got posted to the upper-right island. He chose Terran and was at the 7:37:30pm position.
My build orders were Pylon, Gateway, Assimilator, Gateway, Pylon, Core, Forge, followed by a wild array of Photos. Then I constructed a Robotics Factory and began to produce Shuttles madly. I made 18 Dragoons and some more Cannons.
This was followed by the Citadel and the Archive. I researched Range for the Goon while I pumped some Templars.
I made 4 Dragoons stand guard at the cliff. Another two were
made to stand near the Probes. The rest, which was twelve, were brought into the Shuttles. I sent the six Shuttles out to scout. Meanwhile, I researched Storm for Templar and summoned a few Archons.
I was really lucky, you know. I found two big islands empty so I unloaded the Goons on the vacant space in Player's main and prisoned the goons by flying the Shuttles away.
The Dragoons attacked. A SWARM of Medics, Marines and Bats began to hold me off. My Dragoons died although they did manage to slay the Refinery and some units. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a few Wraiths and Valkeries flying away.
Immediately, I moved to the second part of my plan: To Hallucinate the Archons at different spots and scare the enemies away. It worked. Yes, it worked: the air units were scared away and I began to load some Probes and Dragoons into Shuttles and flew them to the island which had two mineral slots and a geyser.
A huge group of Wraiths, Science Vessels and Dropships flew to my main base to begin an assault on the "Archons". All my main-base defenders were four of the "real" Archons, 8 or 9 Templars, the Goons, and of course, the thirteen Photo Cannons. Yeah, just as you might have guessed, when the Archons were killed, I used Psionic Storm to fend off the enemies. This was an excellent move as there were none of my own units around the "Storm Area". They got raped.
Meanwhile, my expansion began to grow. I kept sending Corsairs, Carriers, Reavers and Dragoons to his temporaly vulnerable main base. And Shuttle by Shuttle, I managed to leave only a Machine Shop there. Each time Player had a Marine or a Bat, I blasted it with minimal return fire.
Meanwhile, I found an expansion on the big fat island below my main. It was very large(for a expansion): A Command Center with a Comsat Station, a Refinery, a Barracks, a Academy, a Factory and a couple of Bunkers. Unfortunately for him, he did not have Detectors so the Observer stayed there. I think he still thought I had lots of Archons on some expansion 'cause after various small attempts to destroy my main base, he sent three Battlecruisers to search. Of course he found an expansion. Though what he saw isn't exactly what he expected. REAVERS, rather than Archons. He got raped again.
I dropped a few Dark Templars to destroy his expansion. And after his CC and Barracks were gone because of the -49 Hit Point invisible assault, he conceded. At the end I said:
Protoss + Island = 200 Carriers
Lessons learned:
1)Hey, who says Hallucinations weren't good?
2) For heaven's sake, don't miss Detectors.
3)Always research Psi Storm and Reaver Power first.Hey, from 100 Hit Point to 125 is deadly?
4)On Dire Straits, use Protoss!
P.S. After months of using the name, EnTaro Adun, what does "Entaro" and "Adun" mean?
