Lifetime Rating for ++REDMAN++ and sexy_swinger: 3.0000 |  | This game is the same exciting matchup of zerg v toss. The two combatants are ~corona~
and EvilKid.
The map is the not so lost temple.
~corona~ zerg spawns at 6 oclock main
EvilKid starts at the 9 oclock main
~corona~ choses to the usual thing that a zerg would do in this matchup and expands early to
his natural. EvilKid goes with a pylon, gateway, when he had 2 zealots he expanded. Since
the two started at close positions, the overlord saw it all. ~corona~ seeing the dangerous
zealots that defended the expansions, he elected to put up 3 sunkens for defense:)
After EvilKid expanded he put up a forge and proceeds to put 3 cannons at his natural
complemented by 3 zealots and about 6 probes for defense. ~corona~ decided to run by
this force with 8 lings and go up the ramp and try to kill probes in the main. The attack failed
miserably because ~corona~ only managed to kill 1 probe. EvilKid had some nice micro with
his probes and a zealot that warped out of the gateway. ~corona~ then got gas and put up a
hydra den and got a lair. The obvious intent here is lurkers. Evilkid in this time has added
2 gates, and a cycore. Evilkid came to the entrance of ~corona~'s natural with roughly 10-12
zealots and a probe. The probe immediately warped in a pylon and then put down 5 cannons
for containment. I thought ~corona~ was dead at this point but then out of no where 4 overlords
of hydras get dropped on the nearly defensless main. The protoss commander suffered heavy
losses and had to run his zealots back to his main base. The hydra threat was finally quelled
by the zealots. ~corona~ then upgrades to hive level. ~corona~ then hydra drops again
with 4 overlords and this time everything was killed except for a few odd buildings due to a storm
that killed like 8 hydras. ~corona~ now has defilers/cracklings. He then hydra/lurker drops
Evilkid's main base AGAIN. This time though toss the base fell. Evilkid then elected to prolong
his death by making cannons around his natural but with some good lurker techniques all the
probes at the natural were destoryed. ~corona~ then used dark swarm and crushed the
5 cannon containment force and then goes to quell the protoss threat in the found temple.
Lessons learned:
#.1 I suck at br's.
#2. The hydra drop still rapes.
#3. If you contain, expect a drop.
#4. Banners from free internet suck.
This was my first br but I know I don't deserve any mercy. |
