Hello! As you no doubt have noticed, my name is Slipknot~Ownz.
Slipknot~Ownz is just my try at smurfing from another account (as well as showing
my devotion for the band Slipknot), but I'm no one famous, and neither are they,
so I guess it doesn't really matter =)
Being a frequent visitor to this site, I
figured it was time I posted something here myself! So I decided to log onto battle.net,
find a game to play, and report it. Thus, I present to you...
Warning: This game is kinda short, but I decided to report it anyway because... well... you
gotta start somewhere don't you?? There's also quite a few pics, but it ain't too bad. Let's move on...
Map: Lost Temple (I'm really starting to get sick of that map...)
Slipknot~Ownz: Yellow Zerg (Chosen) at 12 o' clock
cmc1000: Teal Zerg (Chosen) at 9 o' clock

Zerg on Zerg is usually an interesting matchup. I find that it's usually decided by ling rushes, muta/scourge rushes,
or no rushing at all but powering instead. I decided to do all of the above, and pulled out a little ol' build that would have
me in great shape as long as he didn't rush me with anything faster than a 9 pool. I morphed drones until I was at 8 control, then
an ovy followed by my ninth drone. Then, as soon as I had 50 minerals, I did a fake extractor morph so I could my tenth drone started
a bit quicker.

By this time, my initial scouting overlord had found the 3 o' clock spot to be empty. So I redirected it to the 6 o' clock spot.
As soon as my second overlord hatched (and ordered to scout out 9 o' clock), I morphed two more drones and sent the second one to the spot just below my ramp so I could place my
second hatchery there. Once it was started, I morphed two more drones. One became a spawning pool, the other became an extractor soon
afterwards. At this time, I noticed a teal overlord heading into my base from the 9 o' clock spot. Too bad I couldn't do anything about it =|

I created one more drone, but then I decided to save up for three larva at my main hatchery, since this build results in having your pool
and second hatch finish at the same time, and, if you do it right, three larve at home as well. Those 8 zerglings, combined with a colony or two
at the hatchery just below your ramp, can easily stop a 9 pool. My second scouting overlord arrived at nine just in time to see cmc1000's six zerglings
running down his ramp. Although he wasn't aware of my second hatchery and my sunken, his overlord spotted the six lings being morphed in my main, so he
ended up pulling his zerglings back almost immediately. That wuss. I wanted some blood! =)
The second I had mined 100 vespene gas, I started my lair in my main base. I planted another sunken below my ramp, and continued to crank out zerglings and drones at an
accelerated pace. Just to make sure he wasn't up to anything funny (other than what my annoying overlord could see in his base), I placed a zergling at his unoccupied natural
expansion. When my lair finished, I started morphing a spire by the hatchery below my ramp. I decided not to place it in my main since his overlord was still there, and being the cruel
bastard that I am, didn't want him to know about it until it was too late.

Alas, my plans for being a cruel annoying bastard soon began to deteriorate. He started morphing a lair and a hydralisk den in his main, forcing me to get my overlord's ass in gear rather
than the grave. Also, he must have smelled that I was up to something, because when my spire was about two thirds complete, he moved his overlord to my ramp and had a nice look around. Damn.
But I was confident that in due time I could get more mutas than he could handle, so I let his overlord hang around. For now.
So, a minute or two later, I started hatching mutalisks from both hatcheries. I collected seven of them in my main base (I didn't want them to attack his overlord at my ramp, since I didn't want
him to know how many I had).
Then, at long last, the fun began! My seven mutalisks were met by not one, not two, (hell, not even three), but four hungry hydralisks in his main! Now normally, seven mutalisks stand little or no chance at all against four
hydralisks which have no range or speed upgrades at all. But I decided to take my chances and charge right on in. My palms were sweating like you wouldn't believe! Those hydras must have done at
least 30 points of total damage to my mutalisks! In order to avoid having such a terrible thing happen ever again, I focused my mutalisks on the enemy hydralisk den. A few seconds later, another six
hydralisks emerged, but I micromanaged a little and eliminated those mean hydras without a single mutalisk fatality (gotta love those wireframe models when microing your mutas huh?). I then continued to
finish off his hydralisk den, and started having some fun with his undefended drones. He managed to hatch a couple scourge and a muta, but they were quickly defeated. So I went back to the drones again! =)

At some point during this battle, he sent what must have been a group or two of zerglings to attack my base. However, I was busy tending to my mutas and all that was left to see of this attack was a pretty
little puddle o' blood. I also started morphing a hatchery at my natural.

I was kind of hoping that cmc1000 would pull out some gosu move and kill my seven mutas in his main during the two seconds that I had shifted my attention to morphing the hatch at my natural, but no such
luck. I kind of wanted to have a longer, more exciting game to report, but unfortunately he wussed out and left the game. So I hold him, and him alone, responsible for the short length of this
report! j/k =) It was a pretty good game, and I think he's a fairly decent player. Good Game!
Lessons Learned
1. I like this new zerg build of mine
2. Ten minute games don't make very good battle reports =|
3. Slipknot rules!
