Prologue:
As usual, I was very bored one day (that's how all my battlereports start) and I couldn't find anything interesting enough to do. My parents gave me a very restricted amount of computer time, which is, well, basically enough to do absolutely NOTHING. Therefore, after e-mailing rage{hero} (my SC buddy on AIM =) about my boringness, he recommended that I BR on a free-for-all.

However, as soon as I got to channel nohunters, and started spamming for a free-for-all to watch, I see T_Mac's name come up in the chatroom saying "ffa's suck." Well, I thought about this interesting quote that T_Mac blurted out, and since I had nothing better to do, asked him if he would be in my BR. He reluctantly agreed after asking a billion times what my ratings were. At first, he wanted to play Ronin~, but Ronin~ declined since he "had to do the laundry." Therefore, some no-name person like Hubert-[IceC] decides that he wants his name in lights, and takes the offer to play T_Mac.
The Map: Finally not temple!
After 3 attempts to write a battlereport on this map, I finally succeed!! This map was taken from the Starcraft Campaign Editor, not from the actual game, because I didn't have a real observer map. T_Mac started off as randomed terran, whose starting location was the top-right position. His opponent, Hubert-[IceC] infested with his chosen zerg, the 9 o'clock starting position.

Interestingly enough, Ronin~, on one of his other 23434256 billion screen names, decided to observe the game while "doing the laundry." Ok, enough of the introduction crap, let's get on with the game!!!
The Game:
In the beginning of the game, both players started out with fairly traditional build orders. T_Mac, decides to go with a depot, barracks, depot, refinery, more depots, and then a factory and an academy. It looks like quick tanks for T_Mac. One more thing that should be noted is that T_Mac's first 2 depots and only barracks was built as a wall-in on the left ramp (because he thought that was the only ramp into his base. It was pure luck that Hubert wasn't on the other side.) Also, T_Mac started on a starport after his academy and factory was done.

Hubert, on the other hand, seeing that the map was rather large, decided to power with this build order, hatchery at 9 drones, overlord at 9, spawning pool at 13, and then an extractor. Hubert would soon morph his hatchery into a lair and then build a hydralisk den AFTER he morphed a lair. He's probably going slow lurkers. Let's have a base comparison, shall we?
I didn't get the starport at T_Mac's base =(

At this time, both players FINALLY found each other. T_Mac decided to do a little containing instead of just turtling around at his base. He took a party of 2 scvs and 4 marines to do his dirty work. All the marines that T_Mac had were in that bunker At the upper ramp from Hubert's base, the scvs went to work building a bunker and a turret (sometime during the building stage, T_Mac stuck in an engineering bay). This process went about undetected and the marines were loaded inside the bunker. T_Mac decided to build an engineering bay with 1 scv and sent a tank toward his containment force.

How did you think I got my title? Just then, Ronin~ noticed something. Yup ladies and gentlemen, it's true. Hubert only had 12 drones. I didn't want to make the picture so big so I did not include the drones on vespene gas.
tsk tsk tsk. Bad T_Mac bad. Just about now, T_Mac's tank finally arrived, and sieged up. However, it could only splash a poor drone, who was mining from the corner. Obviously, Hubert seeing that his mineral line was in danger, selected 12 zerglings to kamakize into the containment line. One important and usually overlooked factor in Starcraft, is timing. In this case, Hubert was able to overcome T_Mac's forces easily because he had just unsieged his tank to move closer and shoot the other drones. The bunker and the tank were quickly shredded as well as the marines inside of it, and the 2 scvs.

Eh...a little screwed T_Mac? Meanwhile, Hubert wasn't exactly going to stay idle this whole time. He morphed 6 lurkers at his base and then charged them up into T_Mac's base along with 12 zergling escorts without speed. T_Mac sensing a counterattack was very likely, and had absolutely jack shit in his base, decided that he had better build up some defense, and erected a turret, a tank, and a few marines and medics (for the first time in the game). Soon enough, the zerg "onslaught" proceeded. The zerglings kamakazied into the tanks and marines, drawing fire away from the lurkers while they burrowed, and then the lurkers just absolutely chewed up every single ground troop T_Mac had.
Fortunately for T_Mac, he had about 3 wraiths freshly made from the starport that he built a while ago, as well as 1 newly made tank. Hubert, being the chobo that he is, does not exactly know how to micromanage lurkers (as in burrow next to the tank), and manages to them all killed by tank and wraith fire while the lurkers were scrambling to get in range of some buildings. At this point, my fellow obs and I were discussing how zerg had the game won, but lost it to bad micromanagement.

All was quite for some time. Hubert decided to snag 2 expansions in the center somewhere, while T_Mac took the top-left starting location. Something mysterious happened to the top-left expansion, because the Scv working on the CC was missing. Nobody caught what happened but in short order, T_Mac sent another SCV as well as a few marines and tanks to protect his expansion. During this time, Hubert decides to do the stupidest thing I've ever known somebody to do against a terran with wraiths and now science vessels. Guardians. That's right, a spire was created and mutalisks were hatched. These creatures soon transformed into the mean vile creatures known as guardians. With a few mutalisk escorts, Hubert charged into T_Mac's base with about 5 guardians and 5 mutalisks. 3 defending wraiths cloaked and started mutilating the guardians while the science vessels were irradiating mutalisks and guardians alike. Also, T_Mac's expansion had been discovered. While the invasion force at T_Mac's main was proceeding, 12 zerglings stampeded into the expansion causing "A lot" of damage. End result?
Whoa, that did a lot
Hubert, deciding to keep the pressure on, sends 7 mutas toward T_Mac's base. However, guarding the base was about 8 marines and a few medics, 1 bunker full of marines, and 1 missile turret. At first, the mutas started raping the SCV's until finally T_Mac and his slow reflexes pulled them toward the anti-air defense. Needless to say, the mutas were shredded.

After the miserable defeats for the swarm, T_Mac decided to press his advantage. He brought about 18 marines/medics, 7 wraiths, and 2 tanks to Hubert's main base. There was not much resistance that's worth mentioning, except for about 2 sunkens, which got obliterated fairly quickly by the tanks and the M&M. Once again, end result is... Dooms Day for zerg
Afterwards, there were only a few skirmishes between some remaining mutalisks and marines at T_Mac's expansion, but the fall of Hubert's main was the end of serious resistance from the zerg swarm. The zerg infestations were eliminated with impunity from the air by 7 wraiths, and hive cluster was wiped out of existance from the map known as Medusa.
Post-Game and Lessons Learned:
1. More than 12 drones is needed to have a good economy. =)

2. Wraiths suck when hydras are present.

3. Dont' go guardians when your opponent has wraiths/SV's.

4. Don't have a crappy ISP like T_Mac's and disconnect all the time.
(though T_Mac didnt' disconect this time! WOW!)

I hoped you all enjoyed reading this battlereport.
