Ok, before u read this I suppose you could call me a NH Newbie. I used to play for about 3 months from late Nov-early Feb, I found this channel from this site (lucky coz pubbies were really starting to shit me) and I lost more than I won (like that matters) However, I know most counters, have NH average macro*, and am not a disconnection whore. Now I am back to Starcraft as well as TFC, will do another BR on TFC in a fortnight if things go well. This is my first Starcraft game back, and I decided to report my first game back no matter how shit the game was!

After this game, I played 2 2v2 with Slipknot, who had some clan name I cant remember, (PaPaRoAcH) and my ally was Sorbent, who disced just before he finished off the other guy in game one and as I had no troops left I lost, and had to go during game two although it was evenly poised

Also, Starcraft reports are MUCH easier to keep track of, found that out the hard way hehe. Lucky bastards you SC reporters are!

*NH average macro- Average macro for people who ACTUALLY PLAY GAMES in NH :D

Mr.Forgetful vs nbaer

Map-Lost Temple (I vowed never to play a game organized in NH on either BGH or temple before this game, and prefer not to play temple and refuse BGH against pubbies)

During the countdown he was silent, and we both chose random. I received Red (Units of mine will be highlighted Red, this would be excellent for a game with 2 or more players with the same race) Terran at 9:00 and he was given Teal Zerg at 6:00 (His units will be highlighted Lime to ease your suffering during this BR :p) as we both sent our peons to mine, he claimed to be learning Starcraft. I said I haven't played for ages, to which he said 'ok'. I sent my 6th SCV, devoid of a name because I forgot it (Hence my name) to 12:00. No base. 3:00. No base. As I arrived at 6:00,
12 lings
totally destroyed my scouting SCV. Now I had made a supply depot on 9 and began a rax at 13, so I was stuffed The 12 lings were hitting my unfinished barracks, so I sent all my SCV's into the fray, with one making the rax. I whittled the lings down to eight before he turned them onto my 12 SCV's. My barracks finished just as he did this so I made a Marine and 2 SCV's and while they were building  he lost 4 lings, me losing 7 SCV's. My marine popped out and killed the last of the lings, leaving me with four badly damaged SCV's , and a Barracks in the yellow. I repaired and rebuilt up to 9 SCV's and made a bunker. (No screenshots, too much action, sorry)

I said 'you are not a Newbie'. He said he got lucky. Bullshit, I thought.

This pic is the calm before the storm so to speak. (No gay templar, and the word storm got mentioned lol)

I had only just finished my bunker and put my lone marine into it when  he continued to rush with another 4 lings. My lone Marine in the bunker killed them all with the aid of an SCV repairing the bunker. I got a second marine in the bunker and he sent a group of 4, then 2 lings in. My bunker won again thanks to the SCV repairing.

A fourth wave of 6 killed my SCV and got my bunker into the yellow, during this a third marine got into the bunker. I fixed and filled my bunker. The final wave of 2, then 6 lings came in and hurt my rax and bunker a bit, but I fixed them up. I now had 13/18 supply and about 250 minerals. I pumped SCV's and made an E-Bay.

I sent a Marine to my ramp. I noticed 6 lings trying to hide there. I shot one, ran back when they ran after me and repeated as he did not give chase past the edge of the ramp 'Ling containment hehe. I killed two of the lings which made him run the last four home. My Marine was sent to his base, and the lings were chasing me due to them letting me pass as they were not in my path, killing my marine but I got a look at his tech, illustrated in this pic

.

At 17 supply, I made another SD, an academy at 22, and a factory at 23. At 25 I realised I had 1000 minerals, so I floated a CC to the top Island, made a Comsat Station and Barracks number two and three as well as 2 supply depots.

I sent and lost another SCV scouting, but found he had taken his natural. I made 2 Marines, 2 Medics and 4 Firebats. I had 100 comsat energy, and scanned the edge of his base.

I saw 3 lurker eggs just hatch, (proof he was NOT a Newbie, hiding his eggs like that :p) and a Lair and Hydra Den/Pool. I had now made 2 tanks and 2 vultures as well, and researched mines and Siege mode.

A lull followed, I got my expansion operating at near full strength and teched to dropships and Science Vessels. I sent about 14 units to his natural, and lost all of them against his lurkers and killed one measly hydra

I scanned his natural exp and noticed an evo chamber hidden there; damn I got lucky this game! By now I had 8 Marines, 2 Medics and 2 Tanks waiting around, so I asked him if he planned on attacking me at all, or if he thought this was Sim City. He said 'wait on, I'll kill you soon' Overconfidence is a bad thing. I decided that waiting for an onslaught and killing it cost-efficiently wouldn't work, so I floated my E-Bay to the spot between 9:00 and 6:00, and brought my 'control group of doom' to the sweet spot.

I sieged, and floated my E-Bay over his hydra Den. See the left shot? Now this, along with a 'bye bye' woke him up, to me he should have tried to kill my E-Bay because it was pretty much out of range of the tanks, but he ran all his forces into mine, I stimmed and lost three of my marines and removed about 10-12 hydras.  See screenshot to the right.

Three lurkers came over, one died instantly, and another was too close to a turret on my ledge, built in fear of  lurker drops*. The last lurker did manage to kill a few more soldiers, but a scan and two tank shots finished off his last lurker.

His Hydra Den had about 200 HP left, and when this was destroyed and his pool reached 450 HP, and a newly constructed spire took fire he conceded with a ’I got to go u win’ and 'bye gg'

To me, his macro and micro stank, but he wasn't a Newbie, or else he would have not hidden stuff from me and also rushed me that hard. *Lurker Drops (and DT drops) scare the shit outta me!!! Even more than reaver drops, because at least I can see the reavers annihilating me! This game was pretty ordinary, but I am pleased I won with an ‘advanced tactic' for once, and it is good to be back in the NH channel, playing games and having fun (PS it seems more and more people actually want a game in NH instead of chatting, compared to when I stopped playing SC, comment on this plz)

Scores: (Interestingly, a fairly even score.)

Mr.Forgetful made this BR, another step in his quest to improve his BR rankings ever so slightly and begin to climb the stat sorters list.
