Lifetime Rating for Prism: 3.5000 |  | Hi this is a fan fiction of sort and is a history of an imagined people. Criticisms are welcomed but please keep in mind I do this for fun and in my spare time. Oh yeah its pretty long and has no pictures. If its not your thing dont read it. And it WILL be continued and pretty regularly updated (every week or so) if theres positive feedback. Pre-Conflict and Leadup to Conflict Stages
The Gvaylax had reached a stage of massive changes within their culture and technology. Their population reached a massive enough number that they started thinking of colonizing planets in their solar system as a reality. Gvaylax technology levels were high enough that this could be accomplished. A single colony ship with four hundred colonists was built. It was christened "Dejj" and it set course for Gvaylax III on stardate 2417.6. The journey was uneventful and it took 6 months to complete. The colonists landed on the planet and started further terraformation of its surface.
Meanwhile back on the Gvaylax homeworld, a space yard was in construction so starships could be assembled quicker. It was complete in less than 4 months as their advanced construction techniques enabled them to quickly connect the modules which were built on planet, together in space. Immediately, funds were poured into more Colony ships. The "Dejj" returned and picked up more colonists and headed once again to Gvaylax II. Gvaylax III and Gvaylax IV were the only other planets suitable for colonization. At the Space Yard, two more Colony ships were completed. One was the "D'Trius" and the other was named the "Golos". Many people voluntereed and each Colony ship set off toward their respective sites, the "D'Trius" to Gvaylax III and the "Golos" to Gvaylax IV.
Suddenly tragedy struck, as the "D'Trius" was ambushed by a tiny vessels with weapons capable of operating in space. The "D'Trius" was boarded, looted and then destroyed with all 487 hands on board. It seemed that in secret, pirate organizations had been constructing vessels of war intended for inter-stellar use. Immediately panic struck the Gvaylax Government. They had no vessels with weapons that could fight in space. The pirates could attack the other two colony ships as well. For a tragedy to be averted, the Gvaylax Gov. quickly assembled a vessel of war, the "Krios", to punish these pirates for their inscolence. It was much larger than the pirate vessels and after hunting two of them down near Gvaylax I's only moon destroyed both of the small ships.
The pirates werent pleased. As retaliation they did the unthinkable. They attacked the colony on Gvaylax IV with a full squadron of 4 of these small ships killing 2500 people and destroying the major population centre on the planet. The "Krios" rushed to the scene, only to be ambushed by the squadron of pirates. The fight was intense and 2 of the small ships were destroyed with "Krios" taking heavy damage. Just before it was destroyed, the newly built Frigate, the "Atriam", an even larger vessel, showed up to save the day. The pirates fled before its awesome might. The remaining colonists were evacuated and the "Krios" was towed back to the Gvaylax Space Yard for repair and refitting. The "Atriam" had brand new engines, capable of transversing space at incredible speeds. The "Krios" was also outfitted with these when it was repaired. Meanwhile Gvaylax II was becoming a very large population centre in the Gvaylax Kingdom indeed. With over a million peope and more constantly being ferried by the two Colony ships, the settlement was flourishing.
The "Golos" then got especially outfitted with extra life support and population modules to allow more people onboard. It set out to Gvaylax III with over 3 thousand people on the ship. The Gvaylax Space Yard was working on a brand new ship, the "Sennir", which was another Frigate of the same class as the "Atriam". Thus the Gvaylax First Armada was established after the "Sennir" was completed. Thousands of hopeful individuals applied in the Navy for just a small chance to get to serve on board one of these vessels. Seeing the financial success of the Gvaylax Space Yard, Gvaylax II started a Space Yard of its own with even larger construction facilities.
The colony on Gvaylax II was flourishing and the colony on Gvaylax III was developing at a steady pace when the biggest technological discovery of the century was made. The "Jump" drive allowed a ship to tunnel through space and come out on the other side of the tunnel. This cut the travel time to almost one fifth. Immediately the entire Gvaylax First Armada was outfitted with this new wonder. For some reason the two Colony Ships were not. At about this time the Gvaylax II Shipyard was finished and revealed its newest creation. The "Sulocku" was a brand new Explorer size vessel. Outfitted with the latest technology it set course for the Vessonu system. It reached the Vessonu system 2 months later. The "Sulocku" revealed 4 habitable planets in the system. Each one was a lush beautiful planet and could possibly support millions of Gvaylax. The "Sulocku" sent back transmissions of its findings. The Gvaylax Space Yard had completed a special colony ship, the "Bortani", which could house up to 10,000 Gvaylax colonists.
The "Botani" was loaded up with colonists thirsting for adventure and it set out quickly, Jumping to somewhere a quarters way from the Vessonu system. It was escorted by the "Atriam" just in case. It quickly reached the system and made four 2500 person identical colonies on Vessonu I, Vessonu II, Vessonu IV and Vessonu VI. The colonies grew at a fairly rapid pace and more people were transferred from the home system to the new frontier by the "Golos" and the "Botani" constantly. The "Dejj", which was the oldest ship in the Gvaylax Kingdom, made a colony on Gvaylax IV finally. It too, grew at a very rapid pace. Gvaylax II Space Yards then completed an awesome new ship. Outfitted with weaponry from Suyu Manufacturing, who were the biggest weapons manufacturers in the whole Kingdom, the Destroyer size "Armistar", was revealed and no person could keep from uttering a silent wow as it flew out of the Space Yard with great grace and armed to the brim with all kinds of weapons. It was quickly announced as the new Flagship of the Gvaylax First Armada.
The researchers of the Kingdom, seeing the production of the "Armistar" decided to try upgrading the relatively weak ground soldiers on the planets. They tampered with cybernetics and bio-genics and after a few months revealed the ultimate Gvaylax soldier. Lifespan immortal, with agility, strength and durability better than any normal soldier, these warriors were the next wave of advanced soldiers. Tests proved successful and people actually volunteered for active army service as the Iron Hearts. When the Iron Heart population reached 1000, the 1st Iron Heart Battalion was formed. Meanwhile in space the "Sulocku" reached a small cluster of 6 systems. As it entered the first, the Riwonn system, it was attacked by unknown vessels and destroyed with the whole crew onboard. It happened too quickly for it to send a transmission back to Gvaylax space. But the whole Kingdom noticed the absence of weekly transmissions from the "Sulocku" and the military heads guessed the worst.
Every colony was flourishing and trade between systems was all the more common when the news struck. Alien species had been discovered in the Glokair Star Cluster. And they were hostile. The Iron Hearts were mobilized and the "Atriam", "Krios", "Sennir" and the "Armistar" all prepared to answer the call of war. It never came. The aliens didnt assault Gvaylax space. The Government then, just in case it did happen started construction of the brand new Heavy Destroyer size ships at both Gvaylax Space Yards and Gvaylax II Space Yards. The Gvaylax one was dubbed, the "Koraki", while the Gvaylax II one was christened the "Intrepid". Both ships were larger and stronger than even the Armistar. Meanwhile the Fuerta Constructions Inc. revealed its pet project. Just on the edge of Vessonu a massive space station was revealed. It was so new that a whole new class called Starbase sized was created. It was called the "Starbase Hope".
The dream that "Starbase Hope" represented didnt live long. After only 20 days of operational service a large fleet of 5 small vessels and 7 large ones entered the edge of Vessonu and attacked the Starbase with devastating results. The entire Starbase was destroyed as it held no weapons and thousands of people were killed in this allegedly unprovoked attack. The First Gvaylax Armada was mobilized and sent to Vessonu at top speed. The "Intrepid", "Sennir", "Armistar", "Koraki", "Krios" and the "Atriam" all reached the system very quickly and started scanning the system for hostiles. They found them. Directly above the ruins of Vessonu VI colony which was eradicated with horrible weapons of mass destruction. The planet was deemed uninhabitable a day later. The battle above the planet was short and horrible. The "Atriam" was destroyed under a barrage of enemy fire, closely followed by the "Krios" which was also obliterated in the first 2 minutes. The other 4 Gvaylax ships returned fire destroying 4 of the smaller enemy vessels and 1 of the larger ones. This made the enemy think it seems as they then quickly retreated out of the system.
It was a bitter sweet victory. There were no celebrations but mourning as the news spread of the enormous death toll. The grief was quickly turned to rage. Both Gvaylax Space Yard and Gvaylax II Space Yard started consturction of two more Heavy Destroyer size ships. The Gvaylax one was named the "Apostle" while the Gvaylax II one was registered as the "Jenax". Gvaylax III then started construction of the biggest Space Yard ever. It had enough room to construct 2 large ships at once and enough personnel to do so. The Gvaylax Kingdom was ready for war and true enough King Hardun declared war on the alien menace within hours following.
Three hours after the declaral of war the name of the aliens was discovered on the computer cores of one of the ships destroyed by the volley from the First Armada by a platoon of Iron Hearts. They called themselves The Thultak Hiearchy. The Second Iron Hearts Battalion came into service. Now the First Gvaylax Armada consisted of: Frigate "Sennir", Destroyer "Armistar", Heavy Destroyer "Koraki", Heavy Destroyer "Intrepid", Heavy Destroyer "Apostle", Heavy Destroyer "Jenax" and two Troop Transports holding over 2000 Iron Heart troops. No standard troops were present. The Fleet was split in two squads each of 2 Heavy Destroyers, 1 Destroyer and 1 Troop Transport. There was one squad each in Gvaylax System and Vessonu System. Gvaylax III completed its incredible Space Yard and Standard Troops helped civilians re-establish the colony on Vessonu VI. Gvaylax Space Yard started construction of the "Rajja", a new Explorer sized ship which will be used for recon. Gvaylax II started working on prototype designs of the next generation of war vessels.
Only two weeks after the heated battle over Vessonu VI another one happened over Vessonu II. The Vessonu Squad fought off two small Escort sized vessels with only minor damage to their own ships. One of the Escort sized raiders was destroyed. The other escaped with heavy damage. The "Rajja" came online 4 days thereafter and set off for a system in the opposite direction of the Thultak, dubbed Galonni. It reached it after a full week of travel and found 5 planetoids. One was fertile. Infact almost more fertile than Gvaylax itself. Immediately, excited Government Officials recruited enough colonists for the establishment of a settlement on this lush world. The world itself was named Galonni Prime. The settlement was established shortly after and quickly grew into a large colony. The "Botani" and the "Golos" participated in the transfer of colonists. The "Dejj" was de-commisioned at Gvaylax Space Yard at the same time after years of faithful service. Strangely the Thultak made no hostile moves for over a month following these events. Gvaylax Generals feared it was the calm before the storm. Widespread mobilization was quickly introduced and the "Rajja" returned to Vessonu Squad as a Recon vessel. Standard troops were ferried over to the Vessonu system by privately owned freighters. War was coming and the Gvaylax thought it best to prepare.
