Intro

   Well, this is my first Battle Report so please place comments, thanks.  I have no pre-game chatter since I came into Nohunters and right away saw a post for a 1v1 on temple by RubyDrake.  .O.Dream excepted and I went into game 545 / 111, looking to observe.

The Game

  Well, there were two other observers but they're not important =].  RubyDrake's build was a pool at 13, hatch at 14 at natural, hatch at 13 on top of ridge. This looked bad for .O.Dream as he was blocking off with an 8 depot, 10 rax, 12 depot, then gas and another rax with no intent on rushing.  RubyDrake scouted by sending his ol to 6 o'clock and then a drone to 3 then 12 finding .O.Dream at the last place he looked.  .O.Dream scouted with an scv to 3 o'clock then going acrossed the map to 9 o'clock and finding RubyDrake thier.  Even with the knowledge of this .O.Dream got a factory making me think he'd go SV's and just in case he did rush RubyDrake created 6 lings to kill the scouting scv. Lets check on the bases of the two players.

   .O.Dream also has 3 raxs in the front of his base and and it looks like he's getting a Science Facility soon.  RubyDrake is getting a spire and has gas being mined at both of his bases.  If you have a very good eye then you saw this on the mini map:

  As you can see, .O.Dream is not a newbie and stops this offensive hatch by RubyDrake.  RubyDrake also has about 24 lings outside .O.Dream's base but they do nothing the whole game.  After this .O.Dream does his own gosu tactic.  He lands 1 tank, 3 rines, and an scv on RubyDrake's ridge destroying the base there.

   This turns the whole game around putting .O.Dream and RubyDrake tied in mineral input, again.  About this time .O.Dream adds

a Science Facility and another Starport but he still has no cc in the making.  At this time RubyDrake does a small 6 mut raid on .O.Dream's base but its a huge failure and he retreats

the 3 not killed back to his base.  To replace his lost expansion, RubyDrake starts a hatch at 6 o'clock but only protects it with 1 sunk.  RubyDrake is also going mainly hydras after the loss of 3 muts and gets an Evolution Chamber but never had a lurker the whole game which hurts him.  .O.Dream has started to push out of his valley by completely owning the 24 lings outside his base not lossing a single unit doing it.  After this he scans RubyDrake's 6 o'clock expansion with a group of firebats and rines supported by a single medic.  The base is destroyed easily.  During this RubyDrake sends his only remaining muts from before he swiched over to hydras to raid and scout .O.Dream's base.  He finds the newly finished cc floating to the natural expansion.  The muts are chased out before major damage is done though.  Now with .O.Dream having most of his men at the 6 o'clock expansion ( they weren't moved ) RubyDrake attacked with most of his hydras and some lings.

   This attack didn't even scrape the edge of .O.Dream's domain though killing many men, some turrets, and stalling the landing of the cc but doing nothing much to .O.Dream's economy.  He tries to follow the attack up with about 12 more hydras but they're easily stopped. And now the mini map...

   As u can see, .O.Dream has expanded again to his mineral only and RubyDrake broodlinged the tank on the ledge over his natural and claimed it again as his own. For about 3 minutes the players build up ( 3 min. is a long rest in this game ) and .O.Dream is ammassing men out of 4 raxs, 2 starports, and 1 factory while thier are 3 hatcheries placed on The Lost Temple's soil.

This force is sent by .O.Dream in hopes of finalizing this game and it crushes the base defense of RubyDrake's main and natural.

   But... RubyDrake has one more trick up his sleeve.  He expanded to 6 o'clock main and natural before .O.Dream destroyed his main.  He didn't have a pool but he had a hydra den so he doesn't waste money on creating a pool. This is a hopefull thought and we all know:

   And RubyDrake quits leaving .O.Dream to his victory.
