WARNING: Seriously guys, go do something while this loads. I have a digital, BellSouth, Fast Access, blah blah blah cable modem and it still took me a while to load so do something. You probably have to hit the play button on the music below before it starts playing too. Enjoy!

Hahaha, I e-mailed these guys before you other BRers :P These games were completely awesome to watch and were not blowouts by any means. I decided like a nice person not to deprive you all of these excellent games and finish this pesky battle report. I hope I can portray the games so that they seem as cool as they really were.

gray scale =] thought it would give it a nice Rivalry look :)
The round 1 games of this tournament are played on Rivalry and is a best of 3 game series. After multiple delays of these games (There was lots of time difference, etc.)we finally came up with a date for the games. Fox^1 was extremely jealous I got to watch Pillars play btw :) (obviously because I'm more cool j/k).
Okay, in the first game Pillars chooses Protoss (I was thrilled :) and starts in the bottom right while Daaman randoms to Terran in the bottom left.

Braves > Mets :)
I wasn't expecting to much from this game; I thought Pillars would rush with a few goons and zeals and it would be over and onto gamme 2. Let's see whether I was right or not =].

{iM}Daaman (Random Terran, 7)

{PH}Pillars (Picks Protoss, 5)

The beginning of the game is routine in a Protoss vs. Terran game. Both players had very normal build orders: Daaman builds a depot, barracks (successfully making a wall at the ramp), refinary, depot, and then 2 factories. Pillars builds a pylon, gateway, pylon, assimilator, cybernetics core, and then a second gateway.denied, gj, gw :P
Pillars quickly sends a probe out to scout Daaman causing some trouble by attacking SCVs but is killed before causing any real trouble.
Seeing that Daaman has an undefended main, Pillars sends his first zealot out in an attempt to put himself in a position of advantage (besides the fact that he is Pillars hehe). The zealot soon arrives at an undefended but walled in Terran base. Since he couldn't do anything else, Pillars begins to slowly attack the supply depot. Daaman is forced to build a combat unit for defense instead of going straight for tech, and he builds a single marine which chases the zealot away.
Pillars, however, was not ready to give up, and reinforces that zealot with 3 additional dragoons.

Notice the additional supply depot, extremely gosu
The 3 dragoons arrive at the Terran base when there are only a few vultures and a tank in production at one of Daaman's factories.
Daaman dances his vultures around while he waits for his tank to pop out of the factory. Pillars decides he will not attempt to even kill the vultures, instead he will destroy the supply depot keeping his army out of the enemy base. Just as Daaman's tank comes out of the factory, Pillars destroys the depot and runs his troops in. Using a really nice maneuver (one which Pillars late compliments), Daaman builds a supply depot in a perfect spot, this time to the other side of his barracks but it still seals in his base. Pillars is forced to keep his forces out of the enemy base again, while Daaman sieges his tank out of range of the goons and drives the enemies away. leftovers =]
Pillars doesn't retreat to his base, however, he leaves his dragoons a little to the right of Daaman's natural expansion, and reinforces them with additional goons bringing his total up to 6.
Daaman lays down a few spider mines at the bottom of his ramp, and sieges a few tanks near the ledge for an effective defense.
Pillars starts to plan for another dragoon attack and sends an observer (he had begun to tech a little bit) from his main base and positions it over the mines. Unfortunately, he got a little too curious about what was in Daaman's base and lost his observer to a turret sitting near the ledge of the cliff.

nm, the Braves walked in 6 runs to lose the game! they suck :(
As you can see from the minimap, Pillars expands to the middle right and builds a gateway and a few pylons there, while Daaman sends a vulture around to scout the other expansions of the map.
Pillars is producing from 4 barracks now, while Daaman is pretty much constantly producing from 3 factories. breaking through the dragoon containment
Using his tanks and vultures, Daaman pushes out of Pillars' dragoon containment and builds a command center at his natural expansion.
A long period of "non-action" takes place. During this time Pillars expands to his natural and Daaman expands to the top left starting postion and the mid left expansion (giving him a greater number of expos). The expansions, however, are not yet taking effect because of the lack of SCVs at both of them.

Soon after Pillars gets a good amount of probes at all of his expansions, he expands again to the top right starting position and sends a team of dragoons to destroy Daaman's top left expansion. The base falls very easily to the dragoons and Pillars leaves the goons up there for the moment.

umm...i..dont..know..
At the same time, Daaman sends a few tanks to the middle lower part of the map and meets up with a few goons, which he deals with easily. Pillars didn't just let Daaman move his troops and occupy the middle bottom of the map. He sends a force, of goons, Dark Templars, and zealots and meet up with the tanks forcing them to retreat back to Daaman's natural expansion.
Pillars also sends the remaining dragoons he had after destroying Daaman's top left expansion and attempts to destroy his middle-left expo putting him even more in a hole. Daaman won't go so easily, however, he sends up some tanks and vultures and drives the dragoons away, killing most of them.
hahaha, the beauty of PvT
Daaman builds 2 more factories at his natural expansion bringing his total up to 5. As you can see, Pillars owns another battle in the middle which Daaman was trying to take control of.
Daaman is able to retreat a few tanks and reinforces those with more behind his own bridge driving Pillars' forces back. After he feels comfortable with his siege tank defense, Daaman re-expands to the top left starting position with a command center and a factory. He also expands to the top left natural expansion shortly after that, but these expansions are totally unguarded.i gotta learn from this picture... :)
Things started to go downhill for Daaman when Pillars and his own forces both collided in the middle for the battle that turned out to decide the game. They both sent their forces to the lower middle almost simultaneously so, obviously, Daaman's tanks weren't sieged, leaving him open to a strong Protoss attack.
Pillars was able to storm the crap out of everything that moved and finish them off with zealots, dark templars, and dragoons. After this he moved in for the kill to a nearly undefended Daaman main base.
Daaman was able to defend for a little while, but in the end Pillars was destined to win, as he morphed in archons, and brought in every kind of Protoss ground unit there is. And when Daaman sees that Pillars has found his top left expansions he concedes the game, giving Pillars the Game 1 win.

a la final scores as Sp|nE would say
