Welcome ladies and gentlemen, to the 1st (and only) installment of "Fractal_Wave and CynicalMagician vs. ProtectorofAiur and SlingsNArrows on the Cool Ass Map Aftershock"! I'm faced with a troubling dilemma of the fact that I have a player who's Yellow and a player who's Orange, since Yellow is hard to see on this background I would usually change it to orange but since I already have an Orange I can't do that! So I'm going to make yellow a kinda darkish greenish yellowish color. So you'll just have to remember that the Darkish Greenish Yellowish color is really yellow after all, which shouldn't be to hard for all you young intelligent delinquent's out there.
But enough of that, this game took place at about 11:00pm last night (7/23) and I was a wee bit tired so some of the details "might" be a slight bit off... but since most of you weren't there you won't know if they were off or not so Ha! and that doesn't really matter so enough of my senseless bickering, here's the battlereport!

As you can obviously see ProtectorofAiur (now refered to as POA) landed his Command Center in the South West position while his partner, SlingsNArrows warped in his Nexus in the North West position, and CynicalMagician warped in his Nexus in the Mid-West position while his partner, Fractal_Wave morphed his Hatchery in at that Mid-East. If you want an enlarged image of the minimap and where the players are go to the top of this Battlereport and click on the minimap where it says to click.

- SlingsNArrows: Goes Pylon on 8 followed by 2 Gateways and then two more Pylons.
- POA: Gets Supply on 8 followed by 2 Barracks and then a Refinery.
- CynicalMagician: Pylon on 8, followed by 2 Gateways and then a Pylon and a Cybernetics Core.
- Fractal_Wave: Overlord on 8 followed by a Spawning Pool and then he expands to his natural.

SlingsNArrows takes first blood by attacking Fractal_Wave. His 5 Zealots head for SlingsNArrows's expansion, where Fractal_Wave has some defenses and it appears that (from my Observer point of view) that Fractal_Wave will weather this attack easily with his Sunken and Lings. However, to my surprise SlingsNArrows runs his Zealots along the ridge and goes right past Fractal_Wave's expansion and into his naked main. There he proceedes to cold-bloodedly murder Drone after Drone before Fractal_Wave is able to fend off the attack with his forces that were stationed at his natural.

I think it was at about this time that Wisest~Yoda got disconnected, he had been lagging all night, the stupid disconnect screen came up like every minute or so, lol. Good thing he was only an observer.

While Fractal_Wave was rebuilding his base and drones, POA attacked his expansion with about 10 marines, but unlike the last attack, this one was easily beaten back by Fractal_Wave's sunken's. After all this Fractal_Wave decided to retaliate, so he sent about 24 Zerglings to SlingsNArrows's base and right when he was about to attack (his lings were only like a half screen length away from the base) he stopped them and brought them back to his base probably figuring that he couldn't take on SlingsNArrows's main. However, at that time SlingsNArrows only had like 5 Zealots and a cannon in the back of his base, so if Fractal_Wave would've attacked he would have most likely been able to do some damage but no he didn't, he sent his Lings squealing back home with their tails between their legs (well, not really but you get the idea). But then you can't blame Fractal_Wave, he is after all, not a God-Like observer like me and didn't know better.

At about this time I took a look over at Fractal_Wave's partner CynicalMagician to notice that he, unlike his partner, had been teching and had a Templar Archives up and was producing some Dark Temp's to attempt to catch his Terran opponent POA without detection. I also noticed a newly building 2nd Robotics Facility. And a shuttle out shortly after, he was most likely planning for either a DT or Reaver drop. After CynicalMagician has a good amount of DT's he, instead of Dropping, went by land straight for POA's choke, and into his main. Unfortunately for CynicalMagician, POA already had turret's up and a good amount of tanks, vultures, and marines. His DT's managed to destroy some things but were killed quite easily with the help of the turrets for detection.

Not very much time went by when POA and SlingsNArrows decided that it was time.... time to open up a can o' woop ass. POA sent some vultures to CynicalMagician's choke and layed some Spider mines, then followed up by seiging tanks behind them and with the aid of SlingsNArrows's observer, POA started laying waste to CynicalMagician's base. CynicalMagician immediately attacked with the many dragoons and zealots and High temps he'd been building up but when he came down the ramp, the seige tanks and the spider mine's devastated his forces, leaving him open for attack. POA continued his push into CynicalMagician's main and eventually destroyed it. CynicalMagician did, however, manage to expand to the plateau next to his base but that wouldn't prove to do much as he has already been defeated and would not have enough time to rebuild.

While this was all happening and CynicalMagician was getting the beat down, his partner, Fractal_Wave, wasn't faring much better, since he had been getting attacked by SlingsNArrows's Zealots and Dragoons and was getting pushed back farther and farther until all he had was his main and a small force. However, SlingsNArrows, being such a careful person, withdraws his force, and comes in with a Dropship and drops 2 reavers behind Fractal_Wave's base, and with the help of some of POA's marines, Fractal_Wave's last base falls, just as CynicalMagician loses his last building at his main.
