Lifetime Rating for Holy3456: 5.5000 |   | Quick history of my self and SC:Brood War.
I bought SC about 2 years ago and brought it home. I then proceeded to put it on my shelf where it stayed for about 8 months. Finally i said hell i'll give it a try.
Ever since that fatefull day i've been hooked. With my record standing somewhere around 600-250-30 i try to play when i get a free moment away from normal life of work,women and drinking.
Now i'm really new to this whole limited resource maps as i've been playing BGH for about the entire time that the map has been around and so normally my goal in games is to take as many resource nodes as i can and then beat down with Carriers/Battle Crusiers/Guardians.
This is a game that i played "Holy3456" vs "willwinforfood" on Fadin Relm from my point of view.
I just met "foods" recently playing in ~NoHunters in some FFA's and watching him play 1 1v1. I knew that if he won he wouldn't win by a hugh landslide.
I make the map and some people join SCV~007 being one of them who said that he would BR the game if it was good enough... well i guess it wasn't since "foods" and I are BR'ing it. :o)
We both random and i always seem to get 'toss. "foods" was really lucky and ended up with Terran in the bottom starting spot.
I start off with a build order that i've gotten used to:
8: Pylon
9: Assimilator
11: Gate
13: Cyber Core
Another gate in there somewhere then tech to DT's and HT's. As i'm trying to get better at the game i've tried to make HT's in every game that i play so that i can get some practice in with the all imbalanced "Storm".
I scout him out with my 8th Probe and find that he's Terran just starting on his gas.
*Thoughs in my head*
Hoping to use DT's as my only road to victory as i can't micro units worth a damn i pray that he makes no detection.
*End thoughs*
So i start my way up the tech tree and he scouts me with a SCV. He trys to kill a Probe but i send him back into the mineral line and then take another Probe off and attack his SCV. I killed his scout and he also knows that i'm kind of teching hard with only 1 gate.
*Thoughs in my head*
I can't believe that the little Probe trick worked that i read about a year ago. Knowing that "foods" knows that i'm teching i'm expecting at least 3 turrets and decide to go Dragoons instead and at least 1 HT at each base incase of M&M drops.

I decide to scout again as i've seen people that play Terran on Fading Relm block there ramp with Spider Mines, Tanks, M&M's and Vultures. I run a Probe up his ramp and don't find anything. I run the Probe down the other side and don't find anything on that side either. So i bring my 3 'goons down to block the ramp so that i might have the high ground. I leave the probe on the high ground to make sure that M&M's or Vultures don't make there way up before my 'goons get there. They never come and i just set my rally point to his high ground start pumping 'goons from 2 Gateways.

I'm containing with 4 'goons now with no resistance in sight. Might as well expand until i get run over by something. Then i'll start pumping guys out.

So i expand to the upper right and build 2 Gateways up there so that i might be able to use the extra mineral and gas that i'll be collecting. When the Nexus is about 600/640 i send about 8 Probes over there to start mining. I make 3 'goons and 1 HT at the expantion and i start thing about expanding again seeing as my 4 'goon containment seems to be holding up. I send over 2 DT's just to make sure that if he does charge the containment i'll at least be able to kill some sexy Medics or trash some Vultures.
I decide to setup shop in the middle of the map and start up a Nexus there. About this time or shortly before it I get the dreaded 4 Vulture drop. Thinking that my main well be razed before i can stop the Vultures i decide to give it a shot and start making some more DT's. I take all my Probes and run them to my expantion and then pray that i don't lose my main to 4 Vultures as there are people watching me play. While this is going on at my base i send in my DT's to see if he has any detection... to my suprise he has none. I happily start swiping away at random things and finally decide that i should take out his E-Bay. I take that down and then decide that i should kill some SCVS. I kill some of those and then i decide that i should really destroy all of his Supply Depots as i know how much it sucks to rebuild all of those suckers. I que up my DT's to kill all the Supply Depots by slowly shift+clicking on them and then i go back to my base. The DT gets done with the 1 'goon that is also done and i send them over, they kill all of the Vultures with my Nexus is at about 0/68 i think.

Well thank god i didn't lose my main. Better pull some Probes back and finish mining that out. also i may want to make more guys... but first "EXPAND AGAIN".
*End random dumb thoughs... for good this time"
So i pull some Probes back and start mining again. I leave 1 DT, 1 'goon and 1 HT at my main to watch over the tech. Reset the rally points on my Gateways to the high ground over by "foods" main and start up the middle expantion. I pump out some DT's and some more 'goons. I think around this time i make 2 more Gateways by the upper right expantion and decide that i should take the mid right expantion and to check the lower left expantion to see if "foods" has expanded yet.
I start the Nexus up at the mid right expantion and make 4 Pylons with 3 more Gateways. I send the Probe that started this expantion up to the lower left and see no expantion attempts. So what do i do... i decide that i should take that Expantion also. I start up a Nexus there and build 3 Pylons with 3 Cannons and 1 Gateway.
While that Nexus warps in i decide that i might as well take the mid left expantion also. The Probe that started in bottom left expantion went up and started the mid left expantion also. Well about this time SCV~007 says that i get the "You suck the most" award or something to that effect. (See "foods" report for what we were called). I except it and then SCV~007 says that "foods" is killing himself and that i shouldn't let him do that and that i should kill him before he kills him self. So i decide that i should just send all 60+ 'goons in and see if i can take him. Sure enough, his SCV's are attacking all of his own buildings and i barely get a couple of razes in.
GG's go around and i'm victorious!
Lessons Learned:
1: "foods" and I really do suck.
2: All text BR's really do suck.
3: I need to sometimes stop expanding and attack more.
4: Limited Resources maps really aren't that bad.
5: "foods" is still my hero in FFA's. Unless Slings is playing then theres no stopping Slings.
6: My storm still sucks even though i didn't use it once that game.
7: {-Mirage-} - I've stolen your build order for Terran on LT. :o)
8: FFA's that i've won with Wangson in it 3.
9: FFA's that i've won without Wangson in it 0.
10: Maybe someday i'll try and do a cool BR, until then i'm just happy reading and getting mentioned when i can. Even if it's for being the suckiest player. :o)
11: I believe that "foods" can win any game if he tries to.
