Montaro Ladder match - NewbieMcNasty VS Astic-X

NM:     Protoss (12:00)
Astic:  Zerg (6:00)

Have you ever felt the desire to watch a potentially
good game and just be entertained by two skilled players?
I got this opportunity this evening and decided to give
it a hypercam and BR. 

NM opened by scouting with the probe that set his first
pylon (8 control I think).  He headed for 3:00.  Astic
sent his complimentary OL to inspect 9:00.  He then followed
a 9 OL opening and sent his 9th drone to scout 3:00.

The scouts met and had gay man love at 3:00.  We will not
cover this further.

NM sets down 2 gates and and 2nd pylon while Astic orders 3
drones when his second OL morphs, sending 1 drone from from
mining to his gimmie.

Astic orders a hatch then at his gimmie as the scout probe
floats in.  The probe immediately asks for the hatches phone
number, and then attacks!  (horny devil!)

While the probe gets it on with the throbbing drone/hatch,
the scout drone slinks into NM's probe line and hits on the
cute one.  It and its 2 friends chase the drone off, leaving
the drone to lick a pylon.  The offended 3 probes run to a
big burly zealot and complain about sexual harrassment.  Well
this upsets the zealot a great deal because these are HIS
probes so he instructs continual pumping of zlots from both
gates and together they head on down to the zerg base.  

Well Astic has ordered a pool and as he orders a 3rd hatch,
placed in his main, NM's pimp squad arrives.  The zealot and 4
probes attack the hatch and it fully morphs minus 1/3 of its
HP.  Astic has sent a drone down and orders a creep colony.
NM's pimp squad think all drones are pigs, whether or not they
pretend to be cute lil creep colonies, and attack it.  

Now Astic executes a nice bit of micro.  He cancels the creep 
and gets the drone out of there alive.  NM's pimp squad chase 
it for a couple seconds, then return to bang on the hatch.  
Then Astic sends the drone back in and orders another creep!  
Now 2, 4, and 6 lings show up. They kill the probes still 
hitting the hatch, losing 1 ling.

Right then 2 more zealots arrive as the sunken is almost done.
Astic retreats his lings towards his ramp, but not up it.
The 3 zealots give chase.  Here, NM does a nice bit of micro
himself.  NM positions his zealots along one side of the ramp
such that the now 7 lings cannot surround them.  He easily
kills 3 there, and overwhelms the other 4 in the open, losing
1 zealot.  Now, 2 more zealots arrive and the 4 kill the sunken.

With the hatch almost dead, NM chooses to suicide his zealots
on it.  The hatch goes down!  A small group of lings take
advantage of the free hits and overwhelm the zealots right after.

NM curses now, as he has let his macro slip and finds 700 ore
in the bank.  He throws down a core and gets more zealots.  Astic
now is back up to 2 hatches as his other one in his main finishes.
He sends a pack of lings to NM's base and throws down a new hatch
in his gimmie.

Astic wins a small skirmish at NM's ramp, and it takes 5 probes
+ zealots to kill off those that enter his base.  They get
what may have been critical recon, for NM has just set down a
stargate!  Astic immediately orders a evo chamber and gets a
spore up in his gimmie where his OLs are, later putting one in
his main, too.  NM makes only one corsair, and kills a stray
OL near his main.

There are some more small skirmishes at NM's ramp where zealots
are traded for lings.  NM is focused on teching and Astic chooses
to power.  Evidentally NM spends more money on troops, as he
gains the upper hand in the open field and now sends 6 zealots/
1 goon/1 corsair to Astic's choke.  He loses his position there
because he simply gets overwhelmed by lings & flees back to his ramp.
He leaves the corsair overlooking Astic's ledge.

NM is now working on reaver tech, still pumping troops from 
2 gateways.  Astic works on a lair and a hydra den.  He runs 
some lings into NM's gimmie, and is surprised to find no
exapnsion attempt. 

Astic is now pumping speedy hydras.  When he gets about 12,
he moves out just as NM's corsair flies by.  The corsair
gets shot down, but reveals Astic's plan.  NM positions 8 zlots
and 1 goon below his ramp.  he has a shuttle and a reaver nearly
complete.

Astic postions his hydras and lings outside NM's choke and then
exectues a bit of nifty micro.  He has the lings run an end-around
NM's troops, up the ramp, and right to the probe line.  Now
he engages the the goon/zealots at the front with his hydras.
NM has to choose to save his probes or kill the hydras with
his reaver.  He protects his probe line, as the hydras
overwhelm NM's other troops.  A couple scarabs kill a good number
of hydras as they advance up the ramp, but they continue to
pour in and kill the reaver.  NM concedes.
