Greetings, and welcome to the first BattleReport ever written by yours truly the Warlord Crynus. Odds are you have never heard of me, and have already decided to give this report no higher than a 4. Add that to the fact that is text only, I am expecting no better than a 3. But I am a rather capable writer, I simly lack HTLM skills. Totally. So lets see just how well I can do with text only. (but keep in mind, the words are the heart of the report... and rather than waiting twenty minutes for it to load, your reading it already :)

-- This is a three game series, but I politely ask for you raters to rate each report seperatly, thanks. --

Thats right ladies and gentlemen, a report from the first person. Been awhile since youve seen of these huh? The last good battle reporter able to write from the first person was HeartCutter. Not a chance I'll surpass him, but the games are going to be somewhat similar.
*Onto the War!*

We both randomed, and I ended up starting with Protoss at the top position, 12 o'clock. After gathering 100 minerals and reaching 8 supply I started a pylon close to my ramp and sent Chibb the probe out to locate Khaydarin. (I cant help but name a lot of my units, but only the significant ones...) Just as Chibb reaches the bottom of the ramp, he started beeping like my computer downloading a ::Nobody:: report as a red overlord flies overhead. Its obvious what this means, zerg at 3. Some people will tell you how badly Zerg own Protoss, and Khaydarin is one hell of an expert player with his 2nd best race. Im in for a tough fight, but fight I will. Back at my base I've begun constuction of duo gates, knowing that Khaydarin will do a 3 hatchery build with 1 at his natural expansion. Zergs always will vs toss nowadays, at least those who know what they're doing. Chibb confirms this and sees that the pool is only about 300/750 finished, with a hatchery at around 800/1250 and the other hatchery just started at his ramp. Theres also a second lord, meaning he did the ol' Lord-Hatch-Pool-Hatch. Can be devastating against the unfortunate sons of Aiur, and Khaydarin is no exception. Christ hes fucking fast. As the first gate finishes i summon up a zealot and create the second pylon. When the zealot finishes, the noble warrior is rallied to the natural expansion with 2 more probes, to join Chibb who succeeded in killing a drone and has been furiously zapping away at the expansion hatch. The rush must work, else we have little chance.

**Honorable Warriors and Satanistic Monstrosities collide; First Blood. **

A lone zealot with 3 probes for minions begin assaulting the hatchery, and when it finishes, its health reaches the yellow and theres a fair bit of blood flowing from it. 2 more zealots swear their life to Aiur, and run as fast they can down to the battle. As the pair of warriors round the mineral only seperating us, they heard the sounds of battle and the horrible battle screams of voracious zerglings. When they arrive on the scene, Sturm Brightblade and his 3 probes are trying to fight off four zerglings and 3 drones, one of which managed to start morphing a creep colony. 1 probe is down, and Sturm has lacerations all over his body with 0 shields. The reinforcements get there, allowing Sturm to back off and recharge as the probes and zealots finish off the zerglings. Realizing that if the sunken finishes the attempt to stop the expansion is a failure I send all the fighters at the creep colony hoping it will be knocked out before it finishes. The colony dies, but four more lings hatch on the spot and six come down the ramp, with a zealot and two more probes rushing to to the scene. A zealot and the two remaining probes die, but the reinforcement kill off the zerglings and they continue furiously pounding the hatchery. 8 more zerglings flow down the ramp, which shows the 3rd hatchery must have completed. the hatchery at the expansion has around 180hp left, and I regrettably send the order for the troops to sacrifice themselves for the good of the Protoss. Adun would be proud. The hatch explodes, but after the blood mist clears all my warriors have been slaughtered.

{AoF}$ilverhawk: Lucky bastard

___________________Always Comes to This____________________

The rush of gaining the economic advantage. I have about 100 gas gathered and just began my Cybernetics Core. A small handful of zealots and probes stand guard at the ramp. The advisors tell me im a fool, i should build a forge and take the expansion, guarding it with zealots and cannons. Anyone telling me this hasnt seen Khaydarin play enough. It would be overrun before it began, regardless of losing his hatchery. I choose to tech for reavers, thinking expansion will only be possible after I can slow him down even more. The surplus of minerals while waiting for the robotics facility allows for zealots to be almost continuasly pumped from the double gates, and probes have reached the point of ridiculously stacked on top of one another. This is good, they will be needed once I can secure more minerals. A scouting zealot sees that he has just finished his 2nd attempt at taking his natural, and about 16 lings stand guard with 1 sunken atop his cliff. He also sees about 8 drones coming down. The reaver finishes, and is loaded into a shuttle headed for his main as fast i can.

*Shuttle Pilot: landing clear sir
*-Crynus-: unload, take as many drones as you can and get out of there. we can't lose that reaver.
*Shuttle Pilot: yes sir, dispatching now.

I grin just like any other seasoned protoss judicator would at this point. seeing a reaver land and decimate 5 drones with 1 scarab. So pleasing. The drones flee instantly. but not before another scarab blows away two more drones. The shuttle goes back up out of sight, and flies around to his natural. Lands, kills 4 or 5 more drones before the rest flee to the relative safety of sunken colonies and zerglings. i could take a couple more potshots at it, but risk losing it and since he has more mining capability than i do im going to need the reaver.

**Things take a turn, I can only keep an amazing zerg player down for so long...**

He sets up 2 sunkens, 1 at each mining facility so that i can't land while getting shots off without being stabbed. So the shuttle, now with 2 reavers, and 9 zealots stand outside the zerg base as i started a nexus at my natural expansion. Things are definitly looking good, but something has to be up. Khaydarin is to good a player to be sitting quietly and just mining away this whole time. his zergling force hasnt grown much, but 3 sunkens on the cliff and 1 in the minerals stop the zealots from charging in. I send probes down to the now finished nexus, and start warping in 2 more gates, a forge, and a citadel of adun.
Suddenly, it hits me. I know what he must be up to. and literally, it HITS me. 8 mutas fly at my completly undefended probe line.

-Crynus-: Sneaky fuck!

Two dragoons are being summoned, the other gateways havent completed yet and I start warping in a few panic cannons. The eight flying terrors wreak hvok among my workers, who have no place to flee. The goons finish, and some of the cannons begin warping in, causing him to retreat. It hurt, bad. I have >8 probes at each base, including gas. To amek matters worse, two scourges fly at my troops outside his base. The shuttle explodes, thus losing my cargo of two reavers. Now that the heavy ground support was gone, Khaydarin felt confident enough to send a couple control groups of lings at the zealot force. Angered at hving their base torn up and not be able to do anything about it, they rip they zerg fighters to pieces with losing 4 out of the 9. The other five are hunted down and exterminated by the mutalisk force, now composing of 12. The rest of the game was downhill from there. Unable to rebuild my economy and create enough troops at the same time, wave after wave of sadistic mutalisks and zerglings devastate my base.

{AoF}$ilverhawk: LOL! OWNED! dude you had it to.
NCG`Khaydarin: to good to be true eh Cry? =P gg.
-Crynus-: Rematch. NOW. i swear i had this game =
************************************************************
Lucky, damn lucky. In a fit of frustration, I smash the command console to pieces and rip up a few probes. So damn close to victory. I've rarely beaten Khaydarin, he always manages to do something, so hard to beat. I swear he pulls money and units out of his fucking asshole. I was extremly frustrated, i could taste victory. But i would get revenge, tonight was the night, it must happen.

go easy raters, i tried :) i'll take some screen shots that will be in "Battle Shots" things and try to use some basic HTML, fonts, color etc. for the next two games. hopefully.
