"His strange mannerisms and inability to sustain an erection can be directly linked to the fact that he lives so damn close to Canada, but we won't hold that against him."

For those of you who have played regular SC lately, you'll probably have noticed the giant inflow of newbies. This is because Starcraft was just released for the Mac, so all the "no rush" people, the people who never build more SCV's, etc. are back in full force. Because I like SC better than BW, I've ended up playing several games with these newbies. Here's one of them.

Map: Challenger
Me: Picked Terran (bottom position)
Him: Picked Terran (top position)

One of the other characteristics of newbies is that they usually pick Terran, probably because Terran is the first campaign in single player SC. Anyway...

I do a normal 8 rax, 9 depot build and scout him out to see what he's doing. I see about 5 SCV's with the CC idle, so either he's going for some 5 or 6 rax build, or he's a newbie. Well I leave my SCV just outside with the intention of sending him back in a minute later. I have built a 2nd rax and am pumping marines and SCV's. I look back into his base and he's finally building his first rax.

I start getting gas and working on a Factory. I have a bunch of marines at this point too. My factory is done and I start making tanks, and I also get an Academy and Comsat. Naturally, I've heard nothing from my Terran opponent. I scan him when my comsat is done and I see an idle rax, and idle factory, and a Starport. Ooh, a techer. :) Well, since he has nothing to defend a 24-marine, 4-tank assault I send my guys on their journey to his base.

On the way a single uncloaked Wraith arrives in my base. I was guessing it would cloak any second now, but it never did. I was also expecting it to attack my SCV's, but it decided to attack my Factory instead. A single wraith takes forever to kill a 1250 HP building. Anyway, I didn't panic, so I started destroying his base with no resistance at all. The wraith still hung around shooting at the factory. I made a single Goliath and shot it down. Then I repaired the factory in 3 seconds. :P

Well, I hope my opponent learned something from that game, but somehow I'm not sure.
