HOW TO LOSE
HOW
TO IRRITATE YOUR OPPONENT : WITH TEXT EXAMPLES
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The art of irritating is one that few people
have mastered. Here are some loser tactics that will irritate your opponent up.
+ The creep
colony blockade
The creep colony blockade was used
by 6-fourty-8 against a newbie
(whos name does not want to be revealed) on the map "diablo". The newbie decided
to go protoss, and 6 went zerg.
6 did the standard zerg buildup, while the newbie built a 8-pylon, 10-pylon, and
12-gateway. After that, he built a forge, then started surrounding his base with a layer
of photon cannons. After that, he started "churning" out dragoons from his one
gateway.
6, meanwhile,
had got a lair, and had 4 drones mining vespene and 12 on minerals. He used every other
drone to build creep colonies.
When the newbie had gathered a control group of dragoons, 6 had already morphed layer after layer of
creep colonies at his base, and had a hive and 6 guardians.
6 waited till
the newbie launched his 12 dragoons, before he moved his 6 guardians around the star, past
the dragoons, into the newbie's base. 6 then smashed the newbie's only base into pieces. The newbie didn't even
retreat his dragoon force. He just kept on attacking the creep blockade. He still had 2
rows to go when he was eliminated.
+ The after-game
irritatingness
I don't think anyone's new to this,
keeping yourself in the game as long as possible even though your base has been destroyed,
and you only have one probe left. If you are sure that you will lose, you can even prepare
for the after-game irritatingness.
My
most effective after-game irritatingness that I used was against my cousin. I had played
him and lost about 30 times in a row, and he still wanted more. He created the game in the
map "crusaders".
I
chose protoss, and my cousin chose terran. From the start of the game, I started mining
minerals, saving up as much as I could while building up a lousy but still-alright defense
force.I also scattered a few probes around the map.
Very soon, my cousin attacked me with his 12 battlecruisers. I had
about 3200 minerals in my bank, 3 surviving scattered probes, 3 shuttles, and a force of
about 12 mutas. The 12 mutas I had fought hard, but couldn't do anything to the BCs. I
lost that base very soon.
Once my main base was going down, my 3 surviving scattered probes (with
the help of the shuttles) started warping in pylons in every place possible. When my main
came down, I was warping in my 17th pylon.
The
thing about my cousin was that he never knew how to seperate his force. All 12
battlecruisers just sticked together to scout the map for my remaining structures.
I
warped in my 32nd pylon when his BCs had only managed to destroy 9 pylons and one probe
and one shuttle. I pushed back my keyboard, offed the monitor, and went to watch the
remaining 10 minutes of a show on TV. When I went back to the computer, I still had about
8 pylons on the map.
I
pressed ALT+TAB, and started playing "black and white". After 10 minutes of
playing, I was down to 2 pylons. I watched as he hunted 3 minutes for my 2nd last pylon,
and wasted 8 minutes finding my precious last pylon.
All
in all (do the maths), I had wasted 31 minutes of his time, letting him destroy my pylons.
+ The blind all
tactic
Most people use medics for restoration,
and for their healing capabilities in marine rushes. Few people (FEW!!! I know some who
do, but I know even more who don't) use the medic for its optic flare.
