"SCV Seven-Two-Oh-Three, build a supply depot by the edge of
our base." The crackling voice of Commander Stein buzzed in the small helmet of
Sithicus' Space Construction suit, and he yawned, rubbing his eyes in his chair,
"Wut, sir?"
"I SAID BUILD A SUPPLY DEPOT, MORON!"
"Aye aye sir! Right away sir!"
Now wide awake, Sithicus powered up his SCV and ran it
towards the western side of the plateau, pressing a few buttons on the control
panel, though he had to enter the commands a few times.
"Da-yum calk-pit, Why'd they hafta make it so small.. Ah
wu'dent say no t' a couple o' lightbulbs in he'yir, but them confederates, 'em
so cheap.. I bet they got lots o' lightbulbs in their rooms, jus' sittin'
there..." He sighed, and pushed one more button, and a wire frame appeared in
his HUD, displaying his position, and the next place for him to place the
materials. Of course, he never did any of the work, it was just for show. After
a moment, another hovercraft zoomed out of the command center, and dropped off
the supplies needed for the new building. Sithicus leaned back in his seat,
chewing on his lucky pencil.
"Ah don't see why they don't jus' make these things robots. I
never do any work anyways.." He watched with half-closed eyes as the
vehicle began building the new depot, its fusion cutters welding the metal bars
together. Around him, several factories buzzed with action. There was already a
group of fifteen tanks and seven goliaths clustered around the command center.
Sithicus stared at them with quiet awe.
"Ah.. Ah'd give anythin' t' be a driver in one of them there
tanks.. Or a gunman.. Ah bet theys dont know I grew up shootin' ground'ogs in
mah hometown..." He sighed, and looked back at the HUD. The Supply Depot was
almost done.. Now all he had to do was report it to the Command Center. Sitting
up in his chair, he adjusted his headset fancily, like he imagined the goliath
dudes would, and he spoke in the most professional manner he could.
"Aye.. Uh, this is SCV Seven Two Ziro Three.. I uh.. Finished
the Supply Depot like y'ordered, sah." He waited, before adding,
"Uh.. Affirmative an' all that, sir" Another silence filled his cockpit, listening to the
quiet 'shhh' of the radio. Of course, he didn't receive a reply. He never did.
Settling his SCV by the new depot, he watched as more hovercraft came, storing
their supplies in the building's holds.
He sighed, and closed his eyes, chewing on his pencil like he
always did. Being a worker was boring.. But he was grateful that he wasn't a
miner. He watched once when one of them mined too far, and the whole thing came
down and crushed his head. He chuckled a bit. Yup, that was pretty funny.
Opening his eyes, Sithicus glanced at the tanks. They were
now all seiged, and waiting in quiet anticipation.. He could hear the dull thuds
of explosions in the distance.. He blinked, and rubbed his eyes, leaning
forwards and looking out his cockpit window,
"What the.."
The air was moving. Or at least, it looked like it was
moving. Like a person, only not. Was he seeing ghosts?
"Uhh.. sah.. I think ah see summin."
Crackle crackle.. No response
Suddenly, a small dot of red appeared in the shimmer, and
stayed still. He stared blankly, and a few seconds past before a huge 'whrrrr'
sounded on the huge speakers outside the command center.
"Nuclear Launch Detected."
Red light illuminated the base as the klaxxon sounded. His
radio crackled something for a second,
"Dammit, where is that dot? You idiots! Find the dot!"
"Sah! I see it, sah!" A tank commander, by the sounds of it.
Suddenly, the ground came alive, shaking horribly. A quick glance at the seige
tanks told Sith why - Their massive arms were digging out of the ground, pulling
earth and rock with them.
"Evacuate the base! Evacuate!!!" Everything began heading towards the ramp, but the tanks
were too slow, and the buildings too cramped. They wouldn't make it.
Sith stood still. He didn't know why he wasn't going, but the
orders didn't seem to apply to him. He scratched his head, and glanced at the
blur again. But it wasn't a blur anymore.. It was a ghost, focused very closely
on the command center. After a moment, the ghost stood up, glanced at Sithicus
for a breif moment, and then walked away.
The last thing Sithicus saw was a wave of heat burning
towards his suit, and then a very short, but intense feeling of pain... then
everything went black.

Sithicus rubbed his head. Deja vu. He guided his SCV over to
the western part of the plateau, and began punching in commands. His finger
slipped a few times, and he had to restart the commands from the beginning.
Normally he'd complain about the poor lighting in his cramped craft, but.. this
all seemed too familiar.
He watched, brow creased in thought as the supply depot was
built, chewing on his lucky pencil..
"Ah know ah did this b'fore.." he muttered to himself,
settling his SCV by the finished supply depot. A small shimmer of air passed in
front of his cockpit. He began to get a bit worried.. This seemed too
famililar..
"Nuclear Launch Detected."
"Ah.. wait, wut's happening?"
The ground shook as the dirt was ripped from the ground - The
base was being evacuated.. But the buildings were too cramped together, they'd
never make it.
The ghost.
The ghost glanced at Sithicus for a moment before turning and
walking away.
"Wait, ah know this!"
"WAIT!"
Blackness enveloped Sithicus' world.

Sithicus performed the operation quietly.. This all felt too
strange.
The shimmer.
"wait... Ah know what this is.." Sithicus ignored the
klaxxons and the rumbling ground. He focused his eyes on the shimmer.
his hand gripped the joystick, and he drove his SCV forwards.
"Ah know you.."
The welder of his SCV flashed to life, spinning a few times.
The shimmer flickered - The cloak was failing.
"You... you bastard! You killed me!"
Sparks flew, Sithicus found himself hovering over the dead
corpse of the ghost. The klaxxons quieted, the quiet fuzz of his headset turned
into the voice of Commander Stein.
"Good work, SCV. You just saved the lives of hundreds."

Jim blinked, "What the fork! This didn't happen!" He paused
the game, glaring at the screen,
"That stupid SCV, he wasn't supposed to kill the ghost. Fork
blizzard, they made the forkin' replay screwed up again. Spoonit!"
Jim slammed his hand on the keyboard, before pressing the
menu, and then exiting Starcraft.
"Spoonit. Stupid Blizzard."
Still cursing, he loaded up Internet Explorer. His webpage
flashed to www.battlereports.com, and his cursor hit the 'Forum' button.
