................BOTTLES................
Howdy and welcome to my second Br. The main reason I'm writing this is that I have about an hour to wait for PaintShopPro to download and I cant put pictures into my br's at the moment. Eventually I will produce another starcraft br with some pics and stuff but for the mean time I will attempt to entertain you with a real life report.......
Intro.....
You are probably stumped by the name of my br so allow me to broaden your knowledge. Bottles is a drinking game and a great one at that. Generally you will need at least 3 people - each with their own drinks. The first player calls out the number 1. The second person then calls out the number 2. The third 3 and so on and so fourth. Note that the first person must indicate in which direction play will procede by pointing with their elbow (NOT their finger!). Play continues as so but on any multiple of 7 (ie: 7,14,21,28) or number that countains 7 (ie:7,17,27,37) must be called out as "bottles" instead of the number. Once bottles has been called play switches direction.
Should a person call out bottles at an innapropriate time or fail to call bottles at the right time they must drink a designated amount of alcohol (aka skulling grog). Got all that? No? well stiff shit coz I'm gettin sick of typing.
The map?
The chosen game site was (5)Camp Fire.scx. The camp fire is a popular choice for games of bottles and has seen the down fall of many inexperienced drinkers.
There are sitting places at 12', 10', 5', 7' and 10' which are mainly an assortment of chairs or logs. In the center of the map burns the camp fire - a hot spot for the discarding of bottles and cans. The main rescource node (the cooler or esky depending where you come from) sits at 3'. Each main has a natural with enough room should a player need to vomit or pass out.
Early game...
Ben begins the game by pointing to the left with his elbow and in a sly manouver rushes Kelly (saying "1" quietly while we were all talking =( ). Unfortunately Kelly was on her guard and calls out "2" - passing the play onto Jamie. Caught off guard Jamie is too busy dealing with Jodie and is soon forced to skull an unhealthy amount of beer. Undetured he restarts the game with "1" and indicating the the game will procede anti clock wise this time. Kelly is quick to respond with "2" and Ben calls out "3". The game goes on for a short while with Kelly calling bottles on "7" and Jodie doing the same on "14". All is going well until Kelly comes under the hammer - calling "17....I mean bottl.....fux". Unlike Jamie, Kelly is drinking the much stronger home brewed cider and does not fair as well.
Mid game.
Things are not looking good for Kelly as she points with her finger to the left after saying "1" and is forced to drink more cider. She appears to be teching early towards the good old "get wasted real early and pass out" strat that is popular amongst young females, but not so common amongst males. She once again pass' play in a clock wise direction, with out complications. Jamie and Jodie are instantanious in their response and although a little slower i make sure that my "4" is heard. Everyone is getting into the rythm with Jamie calling bottles on "7" and me calling bottles on "14". Jamie is rather gosu at all this and calls bottles again on "17". Eventually Ben calls "20" with Kelly following up with "21......fux.". Her pre planned game strat is going well. She starts once again with the same mistake as before - pointing with her fingers instead of her elbow. Feeling rather intoxicated she expands to her natural where she soon passes out.
1 down, 3 to go...
Ben restarts the festivities in my direction. At this point though I was busy having a sip of my drink and was unable to respond quick enoug =(. I drink a rather large amount of vodka and raspberrie and get the game going anti-clock wise. Jodie and Jamie are too good though and play continues. The usual bottles are called out until it reaches 27. Jodie calls bottles but Jamie calls out "28" (4x7=28) afterwards. He is now on 2 drinks and begins to feel the effects. He starts again without problems though and it is Jodie who must drink when she called "8" when it was bens turn (play switches direction after "bottles"). She makes the common mistake and points with her finger.......... 3 times! Her Burbon supply is running low, as well as her common sense. She struggles on though but is again caught off guard with the double bottles, 27 & 28. Following in the foot steps of Kelly she has tried to tech way too hard in mid game and begins to throw up.
2's a company, 3's a croud.
Me and Ben both have a good economy left from mid game of about 12 or so cans left each. Jamie on the other hand has been a bit quicker and is down to only 2 cans. This is bad news as a couple of mistakes could leave him with no more beer and will force him out. Ben starts the game and we are all getting good at the number system. Up until the 50's we go fine - calling bottles at the right time and alround kickin ass. But in the higher figures we are a bit lost and go on luck. Jamie is dealt another bad hand of cards with "56" and fails to call bottles. With no more rescources he is forced to leave the game.
Showdown
Just 1 on 1 and both of us are quite drunk from all the grog. Ben starts and I think he has Korian blood in him as he procedes to beat me 3 times in a row. I make a small come back - getting him on the ever popular 27/28 duo but those early drinks get to me as I am slowly pumelled into a wasted pulp. The last couple of rounds dont even go past 17 and with only 2 cans left I crawl back to the tent to get some much needed sleep.....
After thaughts.
- Teching early to complete drunkeness doesnt work.
-Ben is the mega gosu bottles champion.
-Bottles is the best drinking game out!
