Hello, and welcome to another Mep report (other Mep reports were done under +Mep+, but those +'s are just plain gay. Not that there's anything wrong with being gay. That's right kids, it's ok to be gay!). Anyway, I just got done playing this game with me and my buddy KoRn;) (NugGeT-, or nugget for short) and two pubbies, youaremadugly (ugly) and koki (koki), whose color was actually white, but being as the main text is white I'm gonna use yellow. Rounding it off of course is Mep (me). Unfortunately I'm at my grandmother's house, far from that Adobe Photoshop we all know and love, so I'm presenting for your approval (or ban requests)...

The Art of Text Only

A mediocre report from a mediocre reporter.

Early Game

At the beginning of the game, I found Myself commanding the shiny blue Protoss at the 6 o'clock position. My partner, nugget, plopped down the ugly teal Terrans at 3. I built a pylon on my ramp with my 8th probe, then sent him to scout 9. Meanwhile my 11th probe build a gateway, and my scout found koki, who was commanding the Terrans, walling in his ramp merrily. While this was going down, my partner had walled in himself, and built a refinery whilst scouting 12. He stumbled upon ugly, who also was controlling the Terran forces. Ugly, unlike the other two Terrans in the game, had decided it would be wise to not wall in, so I quickly decided to zealot rush him. Building another gateway with My 12th probe, along with a pylon with my 13th, I prepared for the attack. Having informed my partner of my actions, he also decided to rush. I set my rally points to ugly's base, and started a zealot at my first gateway. Koki thought it would be cool to offensive refinery me, but my two probes quickly laideth the smacketh downeth upon his scv, and then laideth an equal amount of smacketh downeth upon the refinery itself. The moral of the story? Fear my probes.

As soon as my first zealot popped out I sent him up to 12, where he was joined by nugget's two marines and an scv, obviously headed up to offensive bunker. About the time this group go there two more zealots popped out and started trucking up north, and I set a few more to build. The scv was quickly set to build a bunker in the center of the base, but sadly was quickly owned by ugly's scvs. About the time we got there two factories finished, and started blinking, but there were no standing forces, so my zealots started beating on some poor, defenseless scvs. What a bastard I am. Soon enough however, ugly's vultures started popping out, and killed nugget's marines, and I was forced to kill them. Those little bastards kept running, and my zealots were distracted from their scv slaughtering duties. Eventually the number of vultures outnumbered the number of zealots, and ugly was able to expel me from his base. But not before I took the liberty of cleaning out his mineral line for him. Damn I'm one hell of a guy. Due to this temporary setback, I decided to set my rally points to below his ramp, and make an assimilator at my base for goon support. Turns out I really didn't need any of said goon support, as nugget had made a tank, which sieged up and started blasting ugly's factory. I went ahead and sent in my zealots to back him up. Together, we totally owned ugly, but not before he managed to float a few buildings away.

Mid Game

So, beings as the game was now pretty much 2v1, we were pretty confident. However, things would not end to easy. Koki had the heart of a winner. And win he planned to do, as was made evident by the engineering bay that had landed in my main, and the tanks that were sieging up in the valley. Joy.

There was absolutely nothing I could do to stop this, so the tanks took out pylons, my nexus (I started a new one off to the side to continue mining), and a few dumbfuck zealots that decided they would take on 6 tanks themselves, so they ran around the map to get to them. Finally the nexus finished and mined enough to make a nexus up at 12 (ugly's old base) and planted myself up there. This will be known henceforth as my main, as while I have a couple of gateways at 6 and am mining there (terribly hindered by the fact that the nexus is beside the minerals, not in front of them) I'm building all my tech n' shit at 12.

While I started rebuilding my base, my partner expanded to his natural and decided to drop koki. He piled 3 tanks, 5 goliaths, and 6 marines into 4 drop ships and sent them over. They manage to take out a turret and a small mix of marines/tanks/vultures before getting killed. All and all not very effective. =\ I sent my standing forces to attack koki as well, and only took out a couple tanks and a turret, while losing a mix of about 5 zealots and 4 goons. Nugget, always on the offensive, attempted a turbo newbie on koki, but it got owned by some dropped tanks. Nugget also took this opportunity to expand to 12's natural.

I decided it would be a good idea to tech past goons, so I built a citidel of adun and a robo fact in my new main. 'Twas about this time that that bastard koki decided to attack me. He sent a mix of gollies/tanks/vultures to my old main, and killed the mix of ground units I had at my choke. I managed to take out a few units, but in the end I was very fucked. The fuckedness was amplified by the tank that was now taking potshots at my assimilator in my main. That's right, ugly had dropped a tank in the valley between the water and the cliff on the 12 main, and was hitting my assimilator, plus any probes that got close enough. I dropped some speedy zealots down there and took care of the threat, but not without serious determent to my economy.

Nugget was now setting up tanks/turrets/mines in the center of the map, in hopes that we could hold the right side of the map until we could out expand them, and eventually run their public asses over. As a scan revealed what I had already assumed, (ugly had taken the northern island) a small force of orange tanks/gollies landed on my main. I managed to take it out without much problem with some zealots and goons. I then warped a templar archives for dts, and threw 4 zealots in a shuttle to drop the island. It got owned. There was only one tank stationed there but the scvs really raped my zealots hardcore, so it just sucked. I managed to take out about 5 scvs.

I now took the time to expand to 12's mineral only, and kill the command center that was for some odd reason being built nearby. Nugget decided to drop a good mix of tanks/gollies on ugly's island base, and managed to take out a good amount of it before his entire attack force got owned by a single dmatrixed tank. How very gay. TvT imbalance =\. At the same time I dropped a buncha dts on koki's natural, and took out a good deal of his mineral line before they were killed by scan/tanks. I also got ballsy and thought I could finish off ugly by dropping 3 dts and a zealot on him. It didn't work, as somehow there was magically this huge ass force of orange gollies and a science vessel there. Hax.

Our next move was for nugget to turbo newbie the 6 o'clock natural, which had been taken over by koki. It went extremely well, and a refinery, command center, 348503984 scvs, and even a tank or two were blown up. Nugget's casualties? 0. gg.

Late Game

In an attempt to push our offensive...pushings, I decided to attack koki's mineral only. It woulda worked to, if half my guys hadn't gotten stuck on my ramp. I ended up losing a control of mixed zealots/dts/goons to 6 or so tanks. Just as well, as my 7 goons that got stuck on the ramp were able to turn around and kill the orange goliaths and tanks that were dropped on my main. I took out the 2 tanks and 4 goliaths without to much problem, only losing 5 goons. Suddenly, the remnants of nugget's turbo newbie, which had been slowly pushing it's way into the 6 o'clock main (take by ugly got slaughtered by white bcs. Great.

Seeing the bcs I decided to make some sairs, and taking the best steps to achieve those ends, I plopped down a couple of stargates, while expanding to the southern island for some gas. Ugly just did the first of what would be a long series of annoying drops on my mineral only expo, killing a few probes before I could get my forces over there to kill the 2 tanks and 4 goliaths. There was a brief silence, the only action being when nugget attempted to lure some of koki's troops into the middle which was heavily fortified (an attempt that failed), when ugly dropped my min only, again, and killed a few probes, again, then I killed the 4 gollies and 2 tanks with some zealots and goons, again.

The next little action packed nibblet was when ugly decided to actually drop my main, (4 gollies, 2 tanks, as usual), killing a good deal of my tech buildings before my forces, assisted by some teal wraiths, killed them.

End Game

Not to be anti climatic but the end game was really boring as all fuck. The beginning of the end was when koki started pushing towards the middle with tanks/bcs. He took out my min only, then moved on to my main, stopping shortly to take care of some pesky wriaths that did jack shit killing only 3 bcs before dieing. (3 bcs may actually sound like more than jack shit, but when you take into account the fact that he had like 16...) We launched one last dieing effort against the main attack force, and we did manage to take out quite a few bcs/tanks, but it really wasn't enough. With our forces depleted, nugget said his gg's and left, I was quick to follow.

Hope you enjoyed this br...I'm really not expecting a 10 or anything, but I got done playing this game and it was really really good and action packed (it may have seemed like I was just bouncing from one piece of the action to another, but that's simply because there was always something new going on on a different part of the map), so I sat down for about 2 1/2 hours and wrote this up. Have a nice day,
Mep
