FLINT AND HIS ASSIMILATOR OF DEATH
I start every night off with challenger...and then move to more complex maps (Temple, Dire ect), but the best stuff still happens on old Challenger.
Me: Toss (Picked) Bottom
Him: Terran (Picked) Top
Early game: I do my usual 7 pylon, 8 gate, 9 gate and decide to do some early scouting. So, after I make my first plyon, I send the probe up to see what he is doing. Well...nothing has really even started yet, I think he might be going for a power build. I take my probe and decide to do something different. I decide to make an OFFENSIVE ASSIMILATOR.
I warp in the assimilator on his gas with my little probe, and I hide it on his main. I was planning to send him in a moment later. Suddenly, all of his SCV's stop gathering minerals...and move into attack formation!
The battle of the Assimilator has started!
All of his SCV's start trying to take the warping assimilator apart....but there was a problem.
SHIELDS!
The lead SCV grows tired of tring to stop the warping object and collapses on the ground. He says in a very tired and frustrated voice, "Can't.....reach the....warping Assimilator.....some kind...of...forcefield surrounding it."
*Note: At this point he has no income. And WE all know how important early game resources are. Needless to say...I was planning on a zealot rush, as I knew I would have an early game resource advantage :) *
THE ASSIMILATOR WARPS IN!
I look back to see 3 SCV trying to get through the powerful shields, the rest went back to gathering, but the mighty Assimilator stood strong and loomed over his little CC while puffing green smoke.
At this point in the game, Commander Flint had his construction hard hat on and was directing probes to mineral patches and organising his build. HolyAnarchy{GK} runs from the Nexus to meet Flint in the mineral line. Little probes rushed by as Holy arrived at Flint position, directing his probes to work.
HolyAnarchy{GK}: Sir, we need you back at the Nexus. Incomming message for you.
Flint: Thanks Sargent, cover for me here (Flint hands Holy his Hard Hat and he begins directing the probes for him)
*Flint enters the Nexus, grabs a coffee, puts on his Commander hat and sits down at his desk*
Flint: Ok...patch the message through!
*The Terran Commander apprears on the screen*
Terran: I'm willing to give terms of surrender...just call off the Assimilator!
Flint: I will do no such thing....remove yourself from the world of Challenger! Or I shall unleash my Offensive Gateway upon you in your base!
Terran: Ok Ok, I'll go...I'll go!....OK EVERYONE WE ARE OUTTA HERE....LIFTOFF ALL BUILDINGS...LET'S GO!
*Flint shuts off the message screen*
(Actually...he said nothing and just left, but I thought this ending was better)
End-Battle: The Assimilator was forklifted back to Flint's Nexus were it and the scout probe recieved many medals and two promations each. I even thought of a little song I could use about my Assimilator
"What a day it has been! What a rare mood I'm in! It's almost like being... in love! I've a smile on my face......for the whole Assimilator race! It's almost like being...in Love!
*Flint does does some hardcore tap dancing while singing, to conclude this BR*
Once again....don't rate this report....as it has no Battle content :) . Other than the offensive Assimilator of course. I did make 2 gates and had one zeal out I think when the game ended. He had a rax at the end...but let's face it...Marines are no match for my stimmed-Assimilator (Hmmmmm).
