"I may be in the minority here but the thought of Heartcutter in a tub of chlorinated water splashing about with some moistened tarts trying to (apparentely) gain some sort of sexual favor in order to procreate truly frightens me. Little Heartcutters....((shivers)) makes Blair witch look like disney."

No pictures again. Sorry. Didn't take them till the end and I didn't save any replays. But I remembered a lot and I decided to report the game. Against the "gosu" player: fa)SpankMe. He claimed he was from a gosu clan. But I didn't believe him. Earlier that day, I had read a .Praetor report about how he went scouts versus toss. Well, I decided to try that same strat on fa)SpankMe.

I was sitting in nohunters, not able to find a game. No problem. I would just go and pubbie. So I whizzed through the list of melee games until I found a temple game. I quickly double-clicked on it hoping that nobody would get there before me.

I entered the game room and found no one there except me and the creator, fa)spankme. He had already chosen toss, so, eh, why not? I chose toss, too, though I would usually random. Anyways, he claimed he was a newbie from a gosu clan and he asked how long I'd been playing. I told him 4 months. He believed me and commenced the countdown. He had 6 red as lag when the countdown began, so I feared for a huge amount of lag. Surprisingly, the game actually went pretty fast.

Map: Temple
SpankMe: Blue Toss 6:00
me: Orange Toss 3:00

The game started and I received toss at 3:00. We had both chosen toss, so at first I thought DT, then goon. Well, after I read Praetor's report, I had had the sudden urge to try out this unique strategy. So I quickly made a forge on 12 after an intial pylon. After completion on my 14th probe, I warped 2 cannons atop my ramp and made another pylon below my ramp. I set up two cannons there. I wanted a fast expansion for the toss and I needed strong defence. And some cannons would do it. Sure, they could have ran past my cannons and into my probe line, but I risked it.

At this time, I scouted, first two 6:00. Bingo! I found him there. Surprisingly, he had fast expanded, too, but he had no defence at all. Dam, I thought to myself, as I could have easily ended the game right there with some zealots. But my strategy had already been set so I stuck to it. He cursed about how much he sucked, but I ignored him.

At that point, my very first gateway came online and I built a cybernetics core while building an assimilator at each of my bases. My nexus finished its warp and I maynarded some of my many probes from my main to my natural. Next thing I know, I'm getting two stargates for scouts.

So I was waiting for my stargates to finish while I warped some more pylons, as scouts take up 3 supply each and gained an advantage in economy. Yes, I said to myself, as my stargates finished. And as fast as I could, I began warp of two scouts from Aiur. After they finished, I sent them on a roundabout to SpankMe's main peon line. I began another stargate and began warping two more scouts.

My two scouts took a long course through the middle of the map all the way to the 9:00 main, and south again around the side, to enter his peon line. Now scouts can do good damage to a bunch of probes, if you hadn't noticed. And I managed to take out 3-4 probes before he knew what was going on. He swore again and ran his probes away. That's when i finally noticed about 10 gateways, 15 cannons and a few tech buildings.

My scouts got into the range of cannons and the began losing shield points. I quickly ran them away. And before they were out of cannon range, one of the scouts had half his shield points gone. My scouts were still slow. :(

My third stargate completed and I morphed in three scouts and sent my two new ones on the same roundabout course to SpankMe's main peon line. My two initial scouts were firing their little BB guns on the nexus, while SpanMe frantically tried warping cannons.

My slow scouts, four of them now, ran away from the cannons in his main and found two cannons directly below his ramp. I didn't turn them back to attack and kept them running. I lost two scouts.

I warped in a fleet beacon and sent a probe off to the 9 natural and warped a nexus there. I warped two pylons there, as well. One atop the ramp that led into the 9 main and one directly beside the warping nexus. I warped in at least 10 cannons for defense and left that one probe mining there.

By this time I had 9~ scouts and I sent them above the cliff that overlooked the 6 natural. I researched gravitical thrusters for scouts. My main had dried out then, probably due to the many probes there and I sent all those probes to the 9 natural.

I suddenly remembered the scouts I had left back at the 9 natural cliff. I flew them in and began destroying random probes. I could tell he was pissed now and he sent all his goons. It must have been at least 50 of them, that could've ran my base over. I turned my slow scouts around and they zoomed into hyperdrive and flew away.

I warped in two more stargates and expanded again to the 9 main. I researched disruption web for my corsairs. I continued to warp in more scouts and mixed some corsairs in with them too. I scouted blue again and found the same thing:
Goons
Goons
Goons
Goons

Well, most of the time, goons would own scouts. But not today. I sent all my scouts. I must've been 15 of them and I sent my 6 corsairs with them. I set them atop the 9 natural on the cliff again and I waited for 150 mana for each corsair.

As soon as I have 150 each. My scouts and corsairs dived in to the natural. I saw some good places to cast d-webs and casted them there. Unfortunately, the scouts were outnumbered and overwhelmed.

I retreated my scouts and cosairs and began an attack upgrade at my core. I had more than enough probes now, and maynarded to my new main at 9. He still hadn't noticed my expansions at the 9 main and 9 natural. I had started on a mix of carriers, scouts and corsairs now. I was ready for another attack. With four carriers, a dozen scouts and a few corsairs, and set them atop the cliff that overlooked the 6 natural again.

I sent my scouts in first to lead the attack. I then sent my corsairs in and d-webbed a few places, like cannons and some goons. And lastly, my carriers were sent in, their four interceptors flying all over, distracting forces. (I didn't research the 8 interceptor thing)

Suddenly, the area turned dark and a group lightning bolts filled the air hitting some scouts. He was storming me. Since scouts attacked all clustered up, the storm hit many of my scouts, and before I knew what was happening, my scouts were dying. I retreated my three carriers and one badly damaged one away, while my scouts took their fire and died. BTW, my corsairs had already died. :(

I began research of second attack. At this point, a zealot ran into my cannons at my 9 natural-choke and died there, but not before it revealed my new base.

At this point of the game, I knew I was going to lose. Now I thought I should have owned him at the beginning. But the urge to try the strat was on me. I began three more stargates, as I had a lot of money. I began building up my air force again and waited for something new.

After two minutes of slow action, he finally came in with all his goons. I saw about 50-75 of them, with a few templar and zealots backing them up. I only had four carriers in my main and a few scouts. Oh, I also had some corsairs with d-web ready.

His goons practically ran my natural over. And I stood ready at my main.

I looked back at my 9 main and thought, I could always come back at him. So I made four stargates there and a fleet beacon.

He had already gone up the ramp with his goons. I should've retreated my air force and ran them to my 9 main, but Protoss never run and it is their sworn destiny to protect the Khala. His goons ran smack into my air force. I strategically d-webbed a few goons and managed to kill some templar before they could storm. It actually looked like I was going to win.

But unfortunately, fresh reinforcements, like goons and a few templar came up my ramp. The battle soon turned as lightning bolts bolted through the air and damaged all my scouts heavily. Stupid, cluster scouts.

Luckily for me, my 9 main would be my new base. I quickly warped in a TON more cannons at my choke. I quickly began calling in more troops from Aiur.

My scouts had all died and my four carriers did not stand a chance against 50 goons, but I didn't bother retreating them. My initial main was dead. Luckily, I had warped in 8 scouts during the initial battle and I sent them into the heart of SpankMe's main. But I retreated them as fast as I sent them in, after seeing at least 20 or so cannons in his main.

I knew he would've expanded elsewhere to support his many gateways, or he would be out of them game more than he was in. I began scouting the map with a lone scout. First I checked the island expansions. Nothing. Then I checked the 12 main. And sure enough were some probes mining away happily. But no base defense anywhere.

If I could destroy his main resourse base, I might have been able to win the game. With four scouts, I sent twelve scouts north to the 12 main. I was caught off-guard as he saw his probes blow up one by one.

All his probes were gone and his nexus's shield points were falling. Still, no goons came. Back at home, I began warping 2 more stargates and warped some more scouts.

I finally realized why he had not sent any goons to help his main resource base. 1) Because he had one at 12 natural. 2) Because he attacked my 9 natural.

His goons ran smack right into my cannons. lol. He even tried to storm cannons. Unfortunately, you can't damage cannons with storm. His goons engaged my cannons and a war of the protoss began. I actually had a number of scouts in my 9 main that did a lot of damage from atop the ramp. He had no vision to the upper grounds.

My scouts at the 12 main had destroyed all probes, nexus and a few pylons there. I quickly sent them to the 12 natural where they started to blast probes one by one. He still hadn't built any cannons at his 12 natural and his nexus went down soon.

At my 9 natural, I retreated my scouts into my main. My cannons had done a really good job. They actually had killed more than half his goons. But I knew 12 scouts didn't stand a chance against two control groups of goons. Man, that's a lot of goons. If my cannons killed more than half, than he would probably had had 70 or so goons.

I destroyed his 12 expansions. Completely.

He was razing my natural and I was in trouble. I had now 15 or so goons in my main and 12 at the expansion. I also had some corsair for, you guessed it, d-web.

I sent my scouts from 12 back to my 9 natural and they hit the goons. At the same time, I sent in my scouts from my 9 main and they surrounded the enemy. I d-webbed his goons, all of them. They had got stuck below my 9 ramp and I had easy shot at d-webbing them. I killed his templar and began firing on his goons.

At my main I began warping carriers. If my scouts died, my carriers could finish the rest of the goons. That is, if the scouts could've held off and if I had enough time to warp in 6 carriers. BTW, I had a shitload of pylons at my main.

The d-web wore off, and I had killed some goons. His goons came out of a haze and finally realized what was happening and began firing on my scouts. My scouts never gave up though. And when they died, he had lost half of his goons that he had lost half of before. (Confusing?)

My carriers finished just in time! I began building interceptors for all 6. I had not researched the 8 interceptor thing, but I figured four interceptors from each carrier would be enough. I quickly ran my carriers south of my base, so they were safe from any attacks yet.

Four interceptors finished quickly and I sent my carriers in. At this point, he had only destroyed a bunch of pylons and had been foolish not to go for my probe line. My carriers launched their interceptors. It was now all a confusing battle. His units were not focused and began firing on interceptors, while my carriers stood back and watched. He had no templar and only goons.

The battle ended, and I had only lost a few interceptors. I sent my carriers into his main and quickly razed his cannons there. I began warping in more scouts and researched the 8 interceptor thing. He was toasted. He complimented me on the splendid match, said "gg" and abruptly left the game.

Well, that was the last time I would use scouts versus protoss, until I learn like Praetor.

But Praetor made high templar and a few zealots before warping in his first stargates. Maybe I'll try it that way instead of my way sometime again in the near future. But I won with an outstanding comeback. And SpankMe should've defended his mining bases instead of attacking me, though he did have a good chance.

The report might've not made any sense at some points. I remembered a lot, but not all. And it sort of didn't make sense while I was playing the game, anyways. :P

And btw, there may be some grammar/spelling mistakes, but that's because I'm doing this on wordpad, and wordpad doesn't have grammar, or even spell, checkers.
