I'm sitting around in NoHunters waiting for a good game to show. But nothing comes. So I say, screw it. I am not going to wake everyone up and ask them for a game. So I go and I join up in a ladder ffa on Temple.

I create the game called 1:1:1:1 Temple. So I join up. I enter the game room and I find that everyone else who is in the game has chosen Terran. So the first idea that comes to mind:
Battlecruisers
Battlecruisers
Battlecruisers

Anyways, I don't really care whether they are going battlecruisers or mass marine, I just want to play a game. The creator commences the countdown and we're off.

Map: Lost Temple
(Sorry, can't remember any names)
BLUE (chosen) Terran 6:00
ORANGE (chosen) Terran 12:00
WHITE (chosen) Terran 3:00
I, Executer (random) Terran 9:00

Now, temple, in my opinion is not a really good ffa map. And there are several reasons for that. Firstly, there are not enough expansions to go around. In ffas people try to grab as many expansions as possible, but temple doesn't have many. And if you do grab one, players can easily destroy them, because of cliffs (atop mineral-onlys) and other such reasons. And the map is a fairly small map.

In my last report, I had scouts go up against a toss, with a fast expand to my natural protecting it with cannons. But you just can't make scouts in an all terran ffa (duh). So the only sensible counter-attacks are wraiths/goliaths and maybe even some valkyries. And in order to do that, you need quite a lot of gas accumulation. But you just can not protect a terran expansion early game, unless you get two bunkers at your choke full of marines or something. So I go with a perfectly anti-terran build. (well, sort of) I didn't wall-in but make my supply depot in my main. I make gas before barracks and I start on a factory after my second depot.

I make another factory shortly after my first, because I require good base defence. I send an scv to scout (finally) and find that blue at 6 has been making nothing but marines as of now. I quickly retreat my scv and scout 3. White is being smarter and starts on his gas about now, with two depots and a barracks. And finally, my scv enters the 12 area finding nothing. How odd. I forget about that problem and return to my main base.

With both factories complete I attach an add-on for both of them. Then research siege and get out two tanks. I pull an scv off minerals and tell him to start an e-bay. Shortly after, I make a command center in my main which I can float into place at my natural. I pump out four more tanks, bringing my total to six and with siege research done I siege them all atop my ramp.

Afterwards, I quickly start on a starport. Suddenly, and to my surprise, two tanks come rolling into my choke. My siege tanks quickly fire at the invaders, badly damaging them both. After one more shot, both tanks are dead. I lift my command center and float it into place at my natural. I quickly maynard some scvs and start a refinery at my 9 natural.

With my starport complete I attach an add-on to it and I pull another scv off minerals to start on an armory and pull another to make a few turrets around my mineral line and around my defending tanks. I get a dropship after add-on completion and begin 2 more starports. My counter to the obvious battlecruisers this game: Wraiths. I figure I could cloak too and researched that. My dropship complete I set an scv inside it and set it north to the island expansion. As soon as my dropship reaches the spot, I look and curse. So that is orange has gone. Right at the beginning of the game, he scv rush a player and floats his command center to safety. But he is really behind in his tech/minerals. I can make an expansion at 12:00 main, but it would be risky. With white and blue with lots of troops by now, so I set the dropship to the other island.

I begin research of one air attack and begin pumping wraiths. My dropship reaches the island and I unload my scv. It quickly gets to building a command center there. Suddenly two control groups of marines come charging into my choke where I have 6 tanks atop on the uppergrounds. One by one the marines blast away, with nothing but blood on the temple grounds. My six tanks did a good job of killing them ALL.

I have a steady production of wraiths going and I now have 6 of them. So I send them to orange's main island to see what damage I can do. Sure enough all I see are scvs. After the scv rush, he could only build one more scv from his excess 50 minerals and he has been mining ever since. I pick off his scvs one by one, and he tries to lift his command center. But guess what? Wraiths have better anti-air than anti-ground and the command center dies faster. He abruptly leaves the game.

I quickly begin making turrets all over my island expansion while getting scvs there as well. At this point in time, white decides to attack me again. He comes rolling into my base with 4 goliaths and 2 vultures. My six tanks take out the vultures, easily, taking no damage. After they shoot once at the goliaths, the goliaths try climbing my ramp. With no ado of course. I continue on my wraith squadron.

Now there are only three terrans left in the game. If I can successfully take out the strongest opponent, then I'll have no problem in taking out the weaker one. And right now, the stronger one is white. Blue is only making marines as of now. So I send all my wraiths, 12 of them, 6 new ones, with the 6 that killed orange. I take them to white's main and see no turrets in the scv line. Yippee! I quickly begin picking off probes in his scv line. After I kill about 7 scvs, he comes with 4 goliaths and scares me off. I don't know if 12 wraiths can take on 4 gols, but I didn't want to risk losing 12 wraiths, because they are expensive.

I have steady income coming in. I add two more starports to bring my total to 5 of them. And it's amazing because the money isn't going down the drain. =)

Blue, who I haven't scouted for a long time, comes into my base with more and more marines, filling up my choke. Unfortunately for him, splash damage from tanks manage to destroy many marines, before he finally realizes whats going on. His marines fire upwards at my 6 tanks. W00t. First time someone has been able to DAMAGE me. Anyways, he has so many marines I can't even count them all. I'm in trouble. 2 tanks have gone down, and the hit points are falling on those still alive. Fresh reinforcements come from blue's base. My tanks are doing all they can to help save my base. Arclite cannons are flying and bullets are raining down on my defendors. After a while, all my tanks die, and he has lost pretty much all of his guys.

Then I suddenly realize what I made wraiths for and brought them back to my base. I cloak them and they fly in, picking off marines. He doesn't have scan and he lets his marines fall. I think, blue doesn't have detection! So I send 17 wraiths to blue's base. Unfortunately, he may not have scan, but he did have a shitload of turrets. So I retreat my wraiths, losing two of them. At this point, the game is looking good for me.

As I think about expanding again to the 12 main, I need to get a steady defence again. I get one tank and add two more starports, to bring it to a total of 7 of them. That's quite a lot for 3 mining bases. =)

I use my old dropship to ferry one tank and one scv to the 12 main. I land my cargo, siege my tank and begin construction of a turret there. Then begin a command center. I ferry two more tanks over and siege them atop my ramp.

Now I'm ready to strike blue. I send all my wraiths, about 30 of them into the heart of his main and to see what damage I can do. Four turrets are ready around the mineral line and his infantry is no where to be seen. I take out the turrets with ease, losing about 5 wraiths and a few with lost hit points. I pick off his whole probes line, and he curses. All his infantry have gone to attack white! With this opportunity, I send a wraith to the natural, to spot for his infantry coming back home. Surprisingly, he doesn't even have an expansion yet. My wraiths at his base have taken out his command center and a few supply depots. I curse. I should have been aiming for his tech, so I turn my wraiths and shift-click all his tech buildings to get rid of as many as I could before his valiant army returns.

I get another tank at home and begin producing scvs at my new expansion. I continue my wraith production. Suddenly, my computer screen flashes and I see the message "Your forces are under attack!" and quickly hit the space bar. I return to my spotting wraith, the wraith that was spotting for his infantry coming back. They took care of the wraiths and I readied my others in his main. It is then I realize he has no detection whatsoever. I think, yes! I quickly cloak my wraiths up and continue on destroying his wonderful foundation.

I turn my attention to my main base, where I have 14 wraiths rarin' to go. I decide I want to check on white, so I send my wraiths over. As my wraiths enter his base, my main base gets attacked. By white. I have four tanks above my ledge. He has five tanks and some gols. Blue is pretty much dead, so I bring my wraiths back and attack him. Cloaked wraiths decide to take out the gols first, since they'll be more trouble for me. After I'm done with them, I send my wraiths back to blue's base. Trouble is with the tanks. They manage to get out of tank fire and enter my 9 natural scv line. My scvs die helplessly. I run them away and lift my command center and float to the other island expansion.

At my 12 main. I have a steady stream of scvs on gas and minerals. I begin four starports at 12 also, so I can waste my money some more. =) It still wasn't going down the drain.

White's tanks behind my mineral line actually did a good job of getting rid of some scvs and forcing me to lift my command center and making me fly it away. Blue is dead now. Even his marines can't stop me. Unfortunately, something really bad happens about now. A shitload of white's gols come and scare my wraiths from his base. And my mana for cloak runs out. Next thing you know, my wraiths are flying out of the sky, blowing up into flames on the dusty, sandy lost temple grounds. Don't despair though!

I have fresh wraiths with a ton of mana ready to go. I cloak 'em and send 'em in to blue's base. He curses, knowing it's over and leaves the game. Now it's the final showdown.

The FFA That Became A 1v1 (Well it has to, otherwise the game will not end)

Yes, it's a hefty 1v1 now. With me against a good terran. But as of late, he has done nothing, except take my natural away.

My main has no minerals left, so I load up 8 scvs into my dropship and land them on my new island expansion. Then I send my dropship back and redo the process until no scvs are left there, except the ones on gas.

I quickly turn my attention to my old island expo, the first island expo I took, and saw 4 dropships, of whites, come in and load its cargo. My turrets manage to take out 2 out of 4 dropships but the other 2 unload its booty, before turrets destroy them. Out of the dropships came out 8 gols. He is pretty intent now, and destroys all scvs there. (At least I don't need a picture to show that happening) He forces me to lift off my command center, but that proves fatal, as his gols's missiles hit my command center, blowing it up, before it can fly away.

My island expo is lost, and I am afraid he may take it. So I take an scv and build a command center at the 12 natural, protecting it with tanks on the ledges. I research second air attack and add an academy, since I want scan. Before I attach scan, I quickly lift my command center in my main and float it to the 6 main, where surprisingly, there are still 8 rusty mineral patches left.

Unfortunately, though I do not know how he knows, he sends a group of gols to attack my command center. He probably has the 6 natural I am thinking. I add a scanner for the command center on my island expansion and scan his main base and find a bunch of factories producing mass units, mostly consisting of goliaths.

I know he has an expansion, but I need to scout for it, and that might mean loss of troops. So I scan instead. Sure enough, he's taken the island expo and the 6 main and natural. I scout his main once more with a wraith and find no scanner and no science vessel. Good, I think, at least he doesn't have any mobile detection.

I send my wraith army into the middle of the map, in preparation for an attack. But what I didn't know is that... HE HAD HIS ARMY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MAP. He had a tank push with turrets here and there and a bunch of gols protecting tanks from any air. It looks like he actually knows what he is doing. I'm in trouble. I can take out tanks, but gols would rape my wraiths.

I have to continue pumping wraiths and tanks at my main, or I would fall. I add two more starports at 12 and make dual science facility thingys. Why? I attach the physics lab for one and a covert ops for the other. I make a shitload of suppy depots in my main and after my starports have pump their wraiths, I make battlecruisers in all of them. I add more tanks on my ledge. Now I have a total of 15 of them overlooking my choke. That's a lot. =)

I begin research of yamato gun and cloak for my ghosts. Then I attach a nuclear silo to every command center I have. I have 9 battlecruisers now, with 3-1 upgrades. =( Must upgrade more. I also have a bunch of wraiths at ready. Suddenly, he comes charging into my main with his whole brute force. I know my tanks would fall without aid, so I send all my battlecruisers and wraiths. I double-click a tank so that 12 show up and I aim for one goliath each, shift-clicking every time. My battlecruisers are also firing at the goliaths. But his tanks are doing heavy damage. My wraiths cloak and move in. lol, he still doesn't have mobile detection or a scanner. My tanks are falling to his tanks, but I do not intend on giving up yet. I begin qeueing a bunch of ghosts in my barracks, 4 of them, because that's how many nukes I have.

Can you believe it? 3 battlecruisers have fallen, and my tanks are pretty much dead. But I know I've won one battle, but the war is far from over. I have taken out all his gollies, and my tanks blast the rest of his tanks up. I've won the battle. I quickly take a wraith and scout his main. Just depots and factories. Since I have no scan, when I destroyed it when I needed to attach nuclear silo instead, I have to use another wraith. I find nothing. Not even turrets. So feeling safe that he has just lost his whole army I send my wraiths over to annihilate the expansion. We've equalled out now, 2 expos each. (If you don't know why, read the report again)

I have more battlecruisers at ready and I begin more wraiths. This time it's my turn to attack. But not with battlecruisers. With ghosts. NUKEY NUKEY. Anyways, I had researched ocular implants earlier, after researching cloak. So I send my perfect health dropship to the 6 main and drop the ghost far from the minerals. I then cloak it and send it in. I see no turrets, but a small squad of gols. So I decide it is safe to nuke him. After all, it is one nuke only. =)

I target the nuke to its rightful position... directly on his command center. I wait for the nuke to fall. I hold my breath now, hoping nothing will get in its way. YES! The nuke has fallen and has blown the shit out of his gols and scvs, and his command center is burning low. I send my ghost and begin firing the sniper at the command center. I then send another ghost, cloak, to the center, where to my thinking, I find his army regrouping there. I ready the nuke. The ghost targets the goliaths in the center. There are some tanks there too.

The nuke falls, YES, just as he is retreating hi gols and tanks. Unfortunately for him, 3/4 of his army blows with the nuke. Then I send my battlecruisers with wraiths backing them up to the 3 main. My ghost at 6 has taken out his command center and I am ferrying another ghost to the ledge that overlooks the 3:00 main. Suddenly, into my base comes 4 dropships. And out of those 4 dropships is a shitload of gols. I'm not worrying about anything and send the dropship with the ghost back to my main. I unload the ghost near my tanks.

I cloak my ghost up and send it towards the gols. I ready the nuke. I target the very center of the pack and hope he doesn't think I'm nuking his gols. And I'm right as he states "where r u nuking me?" I laugh and tell him I am nuking his base. He believes me and my nuke falls down destroying his whole goliath force. Some of my starports go with them, but I don't care. =(

My 7 cruisers and 16 wraiths enter the white main. I ferry one last ghost to launch one last nuke on white. I send the dropship to the ledge overlooking white's natural. I unload and cloak up. I target the nuke into the almost-dry mineral line.

In white's base, My 7 battlecruisers and 16 wraiths have done a good job in destroying a bunch of random buildings in white's main. He keeps trying to stop me with fresh gols out of his factories, but with no ado. =)

He leaves the game.

There. My first report. Sorry if there are some spelling errors. I use WordPad because my Microsoft Word was deleted when my computer had a virus. I will probably add pics next time. Just stay tuned!

Btw, some parts might not make sense because I had to do this by memory and it was the best I could do for a memory report. And if I've mixed up players's colors or start locations, then I'm sorry. =(

Long Live Starcraft,
