For those of you that may not remember, I posted a message on the forum awhile ago. In that message, I revealed the horrifying truth behind Battlereports.com. That the administrators were geneticlly created in labs strewn throughout the world. That they use subliminal messages hidden in pics, most likely the alt-text, to slowly enslave the visitors of this site. I am Agent #7194, Codename: Amoeba_Boy of AWTO. AWTO is a secret organization created to stop world takeovers by insane madmen. This is my story, a story of my crusade against the evils that lurk on the other side of the monitor.
Introduction
I had been assigned to this area several months ago. Our research team had detected large amounts of people flocking to a web site, Battlereports.com was the address. It seemed most people hadn’t wanted to go there, many were searching for porn when the link appeared on their monitor. But as soon as they visited it, they didn’t stop, it controled their lives. It didn’t make sense, why would a web site, that not many had heard of, be slowly taking over the computer gaming world. Yet as soon as our team entered the site, it all became clear. To the untrained eye it seemed like just a normal site, it had spammers, a forum, an administration, and even a group of people that had gotten such a following, that even when they did stupid and retarded things, people cleaned their feet with holy water. But the highly trained eyes of AWTO were not fooled for even a second. It was obvious how Battlereports.com became the center point of so many lives. The secret was contained in the reports, to be more specific, the pics. Almost every single pic had a code in it, a lot of times in the alt-text, but sometimes in the pic itself. It was a message, finely tuned to the human brain, that when looked upon over and over, it would cause the reader to believe that the statement was true.
You can call it hypnotizing or subliminal messages, I don’t care, it was thraetining the freedom of the planet. If it wasen’t stopped they whole world would soon find themselves under the control of an insane genius. A little more digging revealed the face behind the mask of Battlereports.com, he called himself “Johnny_Vegas”. And he was a very evil, and equally smart man. He had everything that would attract attention to his site, helpful people that gave tips on how to become better, a community that seemed to hate everyone you hated, and the fiend even went so far to include a mascot. A green skinned creature that represented the site. All of these tricks combined to form a powerful hypnotic that would possess anyone that would visit the site for a lengthy amount of time.
TOWT had assigned someone to track Vegas before, he was Agent # 7193, Codename: Nuggin0. He was my best friend in the training academy, I was better than him at almost everything, but he kept trying beat me. He was a better marksman, able to kill a man with one bullet from 100 feet away with a pistol. That was with his left hand, and he was right handed. But I fought better than him, no matter how long he spent in the firing range, I would spend equal time in the dojo. After failing to report his progress for many weeks, I was assigned to Nuggin0’s position. I arrived at the house that was to be my base. It had been preconstructed for my use, it had everything an agent could need, or want. As soon as I got unpacked I checked the security system. If this thing was supposed to keep me safe, I wanted to examine it. I found I could control the entire thing from my computer, set up in my bedroom. The defense started at the front door, as soon as an unwanted visitor stepped inside, I could make the welcome mat swing down to reveal a deep pit. After that I had secret hatches on some of the steps. These hatches would pop up to reveal machine guns, much like the traps in StarCraft. The hard wood floor of my kitchen was equipped with a tazer on steroids, I could trigger the thing to release 100,000 volts of electricity through the floor and anything standing on it. I had many other similar traps along the bottom floor of the house. But I found that most of the traps were around my computer.
It was reasonable too, the computer was the single most important thing in the house, aside from me. Outside my bedroom (where the computer was) were the deadliest and most cunning traps I had ever seen. Slits in the walls could be made to shoot out razor sharp blades. They were circular, with three large chunks taken out of the sides to make a throwing blade sharpened so precisely that with the flick of the wrist, you could throw one threw a redwood trunk. When someone grabbed the doorknob of the room, and their handprints weren’t recognizable to the computer, the knob would heat up to around 200 degrees farenhiet, scolding anyone who touched without giving it time to cool down. The last form of protection was me, like I said before, I was highly trained in all forms of martial arts. I also never went anywhere without my sword, a custom made that’s been sharpened down to a molecule. It’s capable of slicing through anything, and it’s my weapon of choice. AWTO didn’t equip my house with any other security measures, so I added some of my own. Nothing high tech, but if people manage to get past all my other traps, I’ve rigged the computer so they can’t withdraw any data from it. On my desk, I have a cherry bomb and a lighter, my idea is to crack open the tower and drop a lit cherry bomb in it. Within a matter of seconds the tower should explode, completely destroying any valuable data. And in one of the cabinents of my desk, I keep all my floop disks and CDs. I’ve hooked up a chain to the inside of the door, I keep a grenade on top of my floppy and CD case. I believe I can hook the chain to the pin of the grenade while keeping the grenade taped to the case, and the case bolted to the cabinent shelf. In case someone opens the door while it’s rigged, the pin will come out of the grenade and the grenade will destroy my computer and my disks.
A standard alarm system also guards my house, warning if anybody tries to break in. The way this thing was set up, the house seemed impregnable, but I had a feeling that Battlereports.com would not hesitate to sacrifice a few dozen men to get to the priceless information stored in my computer. Information about the location of AWTO, my progress against Battlereports.com, and many other pieces of data that Johnny_Vegas would kill to get his hands on. I did not know it at the time, but my skills were going to be stretched to their maximum within the coming months.
It had been a few months since I was assigned to watch over Battlereports.com’s activities, and it had been a very boring few months. My enemy hadn’t tried anything to try and stop me from hacking into their systems. And I had learned a lot of information about the secret organization behind Battlereports.com. It seemed each HOFer was a general in Johnny_Vegas’s army. Vegas was the grand commander, running the entire thing. And he had a second in command, he was known as YourRoleModel, and he had the most hypnotizing pics of all. Each general seemed to have a special talent, and when these talents combined, the result would be unstoppable. Luckily, something went wrong in their creation, and each one hated at least one other of their fellow HOFers. I hacked into Vegas’s database for what must have been the millionth time. I saw a file that looked like it had some very valuable information in it, the location of one of the HOFers. I just finished downloading the file when I noticed four very large white vans pull up across the street.
The doors of the vans opened up and five very large and heavily armed men stepped out of each one. It looked like my enemy had found my location, and they didn’t intend on leaving it anytime soon.
