"In fact the wounds inflicted by these mines were so horrible that the other terran commanders morality forbade them from using the wicked things. Much to Vegas's satisfaction." -Johhny_Vegas

He had woken with a feeling of dread and elation. Whatever this dream meant it was beyond him. All he knew was that he had always wanted to be a renowned ghost, but being born on a barren outpost planet had kept him from the standard scan for enhanced psychological abilities. His core purpose in life was to achieve ghost status. What really disturbed him was that he had just seen himself kill his parents. He was relentless, coldhearted, and completely emotionless. Just thinking about it gave him chills.
His bunk was not offering any re-assurance, and it was pointless to go back to sleep since wake up calls began in about 30 minutes. He left his bed and walked out of the barracks for some fresh air. He was a veteran marine stationed at New Taipei on a New Asia. Basically this planet was a smaller version of Earth. Sean felt at home here. Being surrounded by mostly Asians, though race really didn’t matter any more, Sean felt at peace. Born Sean Zephyrus Chen, he was a Twinkie, yellow on the outside and completely white on the inside. Being here, he felt in touch with his heritage, and of course made him think more about his parents.
The only son of Shengyen Chen and Erica Sachs, it was hard being a mix of Asian and Caucasian. He thought about how his parents had pushed him hard as a child, and wanted him to become an engineer or a doctor. Only to be foiled by Sean who wanted nothing more to be a ghost, one of the most respected Terran military soldiers.
Sean shook his head; he had to stop thinking about his parents. The more he think about them the more chills he got from his weird dream. Sean looked up just in time to see the sunrise and the wake up call sound. He got up and marched to the mess hall to eat, usually by himself. For some reason, he felt abnormally calm today. It felt much like the calm before a great storm. He didn’t know it yet, but it was going to be one hell of a day.
The usually slop. He had what appeared to be oatmeal, a glass of orange juice, and the daily apple. He didn’t know what he hated more, the breakfast (Which wasn’t that bad) or the fact that he ate the same thing every single day.
“ARRRRRRRRG!!!!!!!!!!” He screamed as he clutched his head in pain.
Flashes came through his head. He had some psychic abilities and at times he would se a flash of images, but that usually happens when there is an intense emotional back to it. Nothing like this had ever happened before. He felled to the ground screaming as images flashed through his head. Feeling of immense pride and hatred filled his mind. He saw this immense swarm of Zerg rushing through the tropical landside of New Asia. As it came, it subsided. The feeling was still there, but the flashes had stopped. He looked up.
“Are you ok?” His commanding officer asked in a comforting voice.
“The Zerg are attacking!” Sean said in a hoarse voice as he scrambled up in a hurry.
“What?!?” Came the respond.
“The Zerg are attacking.” Sean said in a more stubborn voice.
“What are you talking about? You are just disoriented; come on I’ll take you to the medical tent. We’ll get a medic to look at ya.” He said.
Sean knew that these flashes are never wrong, “Sir, let go of me. I am serious, I had a flash in my head and I see the Zerg attacking us now!” He yelled at his commander.
This went very well, everyone in the tent who was watching (Which was everyone) started to laugh. It is mean to laugh at somebody, but no one really knew Sean or was his friend. They all thought this was the funniest thing in the world and some of the fell to the ground clutching their stomachs as they laughed. Sean had enough, he grabbed his commanders headset.
“Comsat I need a sweep now!” Was all he could yell into the mic before it was wrestled from him, not without a fight of course.
Now it is standard procedure to question an order if it was received with unknown voice, but had the Comsat operator been awake he might have questioned the order. But being that he was asleep and the order was a yell, he jumped awake. He quickly acknowledge the order and began his sweep of the surrounding area.
“Cancel that order” Came over the headset.
“What?” He replied.
“Cancel that order lieutenant!” The commander ordered.
“Uhh….Sir, I already initiated the scan.” He whimpered.
“Son, didn’t you know that wasn’t my voice?!!” Screamed the commander. Cursing to himself he looked back at Sean.
“You are looking at a court martial undersome…..” Before he was able to finished the sirens rang out!
ATTENTION ALL PERSONAL, PREPARE FOR ENGAGEMENT OF HOSTILE FORCES. ALL TANKS TO YOUR POSITIONS. LOCKDOWN OF THE FACILITIES IN PROGRESS.
Everyone knew that the Acrlite shells that the tanks shot would raise the temperature to several hundred degrees in a matter of seconds. Without locking down the compound and the battle suits, the base and its personnel would be annihilated.
“Commander, the scan showed a massive Zerg swarm heading our way!” The Lieutenant yelled.
“What….how??…..Lieutenant contact space command and request further directions!” He ordered. To Sean he said, “Well, I don’t know how you knew, but I will find out! In the mean time suit up and take your bunker!”
In the distance, Sean heard the unmistakable Pschhhh of the Acrlite tanks going into siege mode, followed by the hiss of the hydraulic stabilizers going in place. Waiting for him at the bunker was his Heavy Battle Suit and his trusty gun. He didn’t know what was worse, the Zerg or his commander. He cursed and told himself probably the Zerg as he ran towards his bunker
