Lemuroo (thats's me!!)spawned as a toss at 9, and his unfortunate partner, artemis, was toss as well, spawning at 6
Kungfu_joe (aka darktemplar~CSL) was terran at 12, and his partner scarab was a zergie over at 3.
We both do a fairly conventional toss opening, double gateway build.
But alas, when art scouts out scarab he sees six lings. Sigh. Art's economy is hurt very early, and our initial strat of art going tech and me going units takes a beating.
A counter is immediately planned, totally roughly 6 zeals in all. They eat it to 2 well placed sunkens and a handful of lings. Groan
Things go quiet on the front. I have 4 gateways chugging out zeals and. . sigh, goons. But, a scouting army is sent north to see whats up at darks base. A bunker and a tank eat the zeals alive, allowing them only to get a few scv kills before they are toasted.
Dum de doo. Art gets up and running, and makes his move towards temps. At this time, i have a mid sized army of 1-0 zeals with legs and some goons. Reavers are coming too. But alas, a string of lurkers run into art's base.
Things are looking grim as art is being besieged. I rush to help only to find that DT is now assaulting my main. Grrr. I can only send a sole observer to art as i must now defend my own main. A few well placed scarabs stop the attack, but alas, are eaten alive by staggered tanks.
Moral of the story:
Tag teams that have been playing for months are very scary to go up against.
I actually don't know why i wrote this battle report as it is quite lame actually. Geez.
Throwing away 6 or so zeals for reconnaisance purposes ain't the brightest of things.
