Positions : Maul at top right, Vader at top left, 2pac at bottem right and Reaper at bottem left.
Let me set the scene, me and Vader were quietly chatting away amongst the lag free zones of
Brood War AUS-1, until the w§w clan arrives on the scene.
Things are starting to get out of hand after 2pac begins bad mouthing us, we challenge them to a
2v2 on Dire, they accept and I make.
Everyone joins and I secretly whisper to Vader
" You know what to do, so DO it! " (I'll get to what he had to do later)
gl's and hf's are exchanged and I start.
I send my first lord down, Vader does the same, now me and Vader play together a lot so we
have a few game plans for Island 1 of them being : Me going Hydra-Drop, him going Air.
--Part-1--
Our Overlords find them to be building for some quick Corsairs and Dragoons, we decide that a
drop on 2pac would go down very nicely and proceed to build up for it.
I do my customary 2 Lairs then double Overlord upgrade.
While Vader opts for a Mutalisk rush, our opponents kill off the 2 scouting Overlords that had
been plauging them since the start of them game, they both die from 2 Corsairs.
I load up 24 Hydras into 6 Overlords and command them to set course for 2pacs base, I tell
Vader to make a Decoy on 2pac’s Probe line so that I can have an unobstructed drop.
All gos well untill 2 Hightemps arrive from Reapers base, the attack gos down.
But allready reinforcements are “ En Route “ in the form of 12 Hydras and 7 Mutas, we drop and
quickly kill 2pacs key buildings, at this point in time I point out,
“ Your ally MUST suck, to not send you some support “
He replies,
“ He has nothing except $$’s :( “
I laugh back
“ Heh heh money but no units :) “
---Part-2---
Meanwhile our troops have been having a field day in 2pacs base, he manages to get up about 7
cannons behind his minerals and runs to Reapers base to sulk no doubt.
By this time I have my first expansion up and running at full capacity, all though Vader is yet to
expand due to having to go early Devs against Corsairs, My 3rd hatchery at my main is done and
Vader has his Greater Spire 1/2 done.
Reaper has just expanded to 10:00 with a sizeable force consisting of Reavers HighTemps and
Corsairs, Vader is expanding to middle left and I am getting my second Expand at 3:00, 2pac
manages to get an expand at 6:00 somehow, without our heavy surveilence noticing.
--Part-3--
2pac is expanding again to middle right, so we decide that enough is enough!
Vader hits 10:00 with Devs, Mutas and Gaurds, while I attack mid left with a huge drop of about
45 Hydras(Hydras are 2/2 now, Vaders air is 2/1), 10:00 go’s down pretty quick, only losing
about 5 Gaurds to Storm.
Middle left is also reduced to a lot of smouldering rubble, I load up and proceed to the 6:00
position, send in my Decoy Overlords and drop right next to his Nexus, he’s got about 5 Cannons
and 6 Zeals for defence, but i’m now 3/3 so I take down his base easily.
“ 2pAc(w§w) has been eliminated “ comes up on the screen
There is a lot of quacking here and a pat on the back for Vader :)
Vader has managed to lose his entire force to Reaper, and I see his main under assault from 3
Carriers, 2 Reavers and 2 Htemps for backup.Vader screams
“ HELP! “
I load up what i’ve got, about 30 Hydras, land on Vaders north island and proceed to feed the
Reavers.
I kill the Reavers, losing about 10 Hydras to them, The carriers prove easy to kill as they don’t
yet have the Interceptor upgrade. THEN! my left over Hydra force gets swallowed by Storm!
Lucky me, for I have constantly been producing Hydras and Overlords at my main so i’ve 30-40
now :-)
Vader is pretty much screwed right now, so I wait for 5mins untill he’s got about 12 Mutas, I say
that the time is ripe....
He go’s through the “ Backdoor “ with his Muteys and clears the way for my drop, it is allways
devistating to watch a drop go well when you are the enemy.
He mutters “gg” under his breath, and I say “ yeah, gg mate :) “.
*Lessons Learned*
2 Zerg is as deadly as 2 Terran on Dire.
Hydra drops are the best drop there is, especially when you set up some decoys.
Protoss is not as good as everyone seems to think for Island.

Ok, this was more of a “ I’m sorry for writing that shithouse BR a day ago.”BR
Anyways i’m trying to write better BR’s, because I think they are good fun once you get into it.
Well, I hope you all like it, just remember this is only my 3rd BR.
