Map: Lost Temple

Start Position/Race

A game of carriers.

I scout with a probe at 12 supply and get waxed by a cannon by his Nexus. I build about 10 zealots while going turbo-Observer (I like recon.). A quick flyby of his base reveals a tight building formation with cannons on the outside. I see a Templar Archives and a few High Templar milling about. He looks like he's preparing a Reaver drop defense or something, since there are few other troops around.

With so many cannons at his base, I expand. He has yet to send a scout of any kind to find me. My Protoss map hack is working perfectly, so I see almost his entire base. Get it at www.observer.com. He has yet to expand to his gimme, so I smile and gain a few upgrades for my Zealots.

Then, DOH! I run into his expansion at the 12:00 start position. There are about four Stargates (two working) and a Fleet beacon at the expansion.

The kicker: No troops and about three cannons. I'm not sure where he picked up this strat but I send 12 upgraded Zealots to kill. I don't know what he was making in those Stargates, because I destroy them before anything popped out. :)

That pretty much ended the game. I expanded to the 3:00 start postion to help fuel my five Stargates.

He expands to his gimme. But it's too late, too late, too late for him. My first four carriers swoop into the middle of the map, then up and above his gimme. This way they can strike his Assimilator with ease.

Templars arrive and storm, but I avoid most of them. The Assimilator dies. Hehe.

Carrier Battle #1: His answer to four of my carriers is six of his own. My four are in the red with little shields before the battle starts (storm, if you have to know), and it gets ugly. The first carrier battle ends in me losing four carriers, him none.

But I have about twice as many mins coming in as him. I replace my fleet, but not before throwing 12 Zealots into his expansion. I needed the supply, and the Zealots died violently. Yes, violently.

Apparently, he isn't thinking very well, because he then sends four Templar toward my main. Hmmmmm. I've got observers everywhere. Just outside my expansion, he morphs two Templar to make an Archon. Mistake, as ten Zealots kill this puny attack before the Archon is finished morphing. He storms his own Twmplar trying to kill the Zealots. Hehe.

Carrier Battle #2: He sends 8 non-upgraded carriers toward my main. I have 6 upgraded carriers defending, with shield batteries and a cannon nearby. I might have lost a carrier. His carriers die in a burning blaze.

Carrier Battle #3: Within a few minutes, I send 12 fully upgraded carriers into his cannon-defended main. He has four carriers, some without interceptors, defending. I crush his carriers. I crush his base. I am about to crush everything when he leaves.

And without a gg. Ah well, good fight, fellow warrior.
