Lifetime Rating for colonel_mustard: 3.6667 |  | | i played with a bunch of my friends on tribes the other day. i was protoss at the top center. my partner, newbie terran, was at bottom middle. one of our enemies, a protoss, was immediately to the right of him. the other enemy, a terran, was above the protoss enemy, and was at middle right. the game commenced, i built a pylon with my sixth probe. i then built a gateway with my seventh probe, a second gateway with the ninth probe, which i sent scouting. i found the terran and i noticed that he had no defense, but was trying to wall himself in. i sent the 2 zealots at my base to attack before he could close off his wall. he lifts up and moves to a plateau. after a while, my partner was attacked by dark templars and zealots. because he had no detectors, he was forced to move. after five to ten minutes of building up, my partner was attacked again, and once again moved, but to a plateau this time. i took advantage of this and rushed him with zealots, dragoons, and reavers in a shuttle. he tries to counterattack my base, but the cannons,reavers,and dragoons at my repelled the attack. i finished off his base and started searching for others with dragoons. this is where i made my biggest mistake. i forgot to search the plateaus. i leterally spent twenty minutes searching before i realized this error. i started hunting down his plateau encampments. i managed to take down 2 of the 5 bases he had, but it was too late, he was concentrating on carriers. here is the stupid part. i forgot to build templars. so when he came with the carriers, most of my dragoons could not hit them because he was on the plateau. well he leveled my main and my expansions in short order. by the way, the enemy terran was constantly carrying out small futile strikes with wraiths. my partner was basicaly taken down on the plateau by dark templars, he managed to get to my base with a engineering bay, 4 scvs, and 378 minerals. lesson learned : i really sucked that day, i usually do not play that poorly. well... thanks for suffering through this poorly written battle report. |
