The Phurrie, Chapter 4
Act 1- Chains
The man screamed as blood trickled down his spine.
“I...don’t know anything!” He yelled at his tormentor, a fiery demon of a man. The creature was made entirely of fire but yet had the shape of a human being. As the monster continued his abominal task, the Terran’s mind went back the events that brought him here, team tec, sent by the confederacy to infiltrate the new flamers base on Demitis, they learned that even the mighty Protoss couldn’t defeat these strange invaders for a single Protoss was being held in a lower level, this Keldron knew for sure, for he had heard him also being tormented. His Boise’s would have to save the toss soldier as well. The monster touched the mans face, instantly burning the flesh off it bringing the man back to reality. The terran commander went limp with pain.
“Tell me where they took it,” The entity of fire demanded softly. The man stirred, attempting to Denny he knew anything, but then slumped back down to the metal floor of his prison, exhausted. The creatures body changed into a bright blazing red flame, possibly reflecting its temperament, thought Keldron. No matter what sins the monster committed against him he would never betray his boys.
The objective for tec was to learn all they could about the flames, after the group entered the base they discovered a trio of Protoss warriors hiding in the shadows. These strange fighters were completely hidden by light allowing them to be the perfect killers. The assassins helped Tech send a flapper to its maker and bypass security to look at the base’s layout. It was pretty simple and basic, they set up strange devices that let out a multicolored mist on the perimeter of the installation, the only thing that was incredibly odd was large power generator that lied deep within the planets core. The generator was apparently absorbing the heat in the planets core and storing it for some reason or another. The monster bashed the terran across the face, ripping him out of his thoughts, the commander of the tech howled in pain at the blow.
“After you were sedated, I saw your men and some Protoss escape, Where did they go?” The demon was losing patience obviously as his body turned from blood red to burning hot white, his voice had the fury of a nuclear warhead , the air around him seemed as tense as a star about to go nova.
The man still continued to not cooperate.
The monster growled as he burned a hole into the wall, leaving the room. Alone at last, the terran felt his charred face. The damage was bad but not fatal. He sighed a breath of relief, Confident that his kids would return to save him, the man, nearing his late forties, relaxed against the steel wall of his cell.

Act 2- Shaky alliance
“Yes,” The young marine said to the highest ranking officer. Norman was a rather new recruit to team tech, only 19. He felt lucky to be accepted into one of the most skilled special teams that ever served the confederacy. He was a big man too, 6’7, well over 250 pounds and the one of the strongest marines in the corps. This mission went to hell ever since they entered the planets cursed atmosphere. Norman’s back stiffened as he thought about the course of events, first the evacuate shuttle was struck by a meteorite and had to go back for repairs, forcing tech to stay on Demotes for another 2 days. Thankfully they meet the Protoss assassins who were trying to rescue a fellow soldier from the hatred clutches of the invaders, who according to the Templar they saved, called themselves the ‘Solaris’. His best friend and newly appointed commander of tec, his superior, Mike disrupted his thoughts.
“They are returning,” Mike indicated by the way the sand blow into the warriors, outlining there figures in the wind. The three assassins entered the makeshift base the Terrans hastily constructed on the desert surface of Demitis. They walked slowly to the new leader of the confederate team of tec.
“We come with a offer,” Said the one of the cloaked figures. the commander of tec looked in the general direction of the fighters.
“And that is?” the new commander demanded suspicly. They had no reason to doubt the words of the killers, Norman knew.
“We will help you free your commander, if you evacuate us off this planet,” Another one of the ghost like beings announced. Tec all stared at Mike, who more then felt pressure, knowing he could not and should not make a decision of this magnitude with out counseling his friends, for many more may die for the glory of the confederacy if tec went back for there beloved commander, Keldron.
“Let me confer with my team,” Mike motioned a few others into a bunker at the north side of the base. Norman wasn’t surprised that he was indicated to come along too, since he was Mikes most trusted friend. The door slid open allowing them entry into the rather dingy cave of a building. Mike walked in and stood by the corner allowing him to see there visitors, or at least make a good guess at where they stood. The seat cracked softly as Norman planted himself near the door as the other two members of tec that had joined them did likewise. The friends in the bunker have known each other since the academy school. Way back when, chuckled Mike to himself. He could remember all the havoc they raised back at the academy. They all signed up for the same class’s at the academy giving them decent chances of having class’s with each other. The reason for the difference in rank was just because of there different specialties. Mike was the best tactician in the heat of battle, Norman the most skilled at man to man combat, Joe a perfect example to his men, he listened to orders and did them well, people jokingly said his was there role model and Andy was easily one of the best skilled at research and design the confederacy had seen in decades. With there combined abilities they’re able to help tec in some of its hardest missions and this certainly might be one.
“What do you think guys?” Mike wondered to his best friends. A worried looked creased his young face. Andy sighed a little louder then he intended as he shut his eyes from the bright molten ball of a sun which was seeping in through the four windows of the bunker, ment for guess rifles not blinding those inside.
“I dunno G Man, trust them thou,” Said Norm in his own little way of speaking. Norman apparently stored a lot of faith in these Protoss.
“Beats me Mikey, but I know we all want the commander back.” Said Joe to the group. Mike know Joe’s advice was sound, and almost everyone in tec would agree with him.
“Joes, right, lets do it,” Andy agreed hastily, he was most likely already coming up with a scheme to free Keldron.
“This could be a big mistake, but I got a idea,” Thought Mike outloud. Mike recalled there sole nuclear silo witch they had used in there first attempt to harm the intruders, the nuke did heavy damage to most structures within the Solairs encampment. But now they knew what a nuclear weapon was, chances are they would not make the same idiotic mistake of letting it smash there base. With a Nuclear strike buying the assassins time to get to keldron, maybe they would make it out alive.
“I will tell the killers that we agree and Andy,” Andy looked up from the dusty bunker floor that had captured his attention, “Prepare all our available ghost onhand for a Nuclear Strike.”
“Sure man,” Andy said causally. Mike Marched out of the bunker the wind whipping into his face as the door panel flew open. Out of the bunker and not at all pleased for what they were going to do for one mans life, The new commander headed for where the assassins were lying under the fury of the Demitis sun. Mike then realized that maybe his hungry for power was making this harder then it needed to be, but the thought was quickly dismissed.
“He looks upset,” commented Norm as he gradually got up. Wiping his hands on his pant legs in a futile war he waged with the horrible winds of Demitis.
“Nothing we can do guys,” Joe comforted. Trying to raise the morale of his closes friends like always.
“Yes well I am going to see what I can do anywise,” Andy left the bunker hastily, jogging over to the ghosts quarters. Norm and Joe trekked over to where Mike was finalizing the plans with the Protoss killers.

Act 3- Did somebody call for an extremity?
Rob ran for his life across the barren landscape of demitis. His pursuer was a giant of creature made of living fire, it was as tall as a small building and just as wide. Robs goal was to complete a Nuclear Strike against these demonic Solaris, to distract them from the silent protoss assassins going to get Keldron. He needed to complete his mission! A long row of sand dunes lay in front of him as continued his desperate flew from his fiery predator.
Sneaking into the base was done with ease, recalled Rob, but when he stepped into some strange blue mist it clung around his cloaking suit, revealing him to the enemy. Rob was ahead enough to take a few shots at the monster with he’s C-4 Canister rifle. The rounds stabbed into the demons chest but it never even made a motion that they hurt it. He had to stay moving. The hills provider some cover thankfully, but the cursed wind would not allow him to cloak.
Almost at the top of one of the largest dunes on Demitis, he allowed himself to look back. His evil Purser had changed! It was now a metallic monstrosity instead a of fiery one. The titan never missed a step in the blowing winds of Demitis as it chased after Rob. Since this pleasant transformation Rob thought he had the perfect weapon to combat it. Rob quickened his pace up the dune, trying to get far enough ahead of it for enough time to get that ever so needed clear shot. Upon reaching the top, Rob busted open the chamber to his C-4 Canister Rifle and charged the round to lockdown his corrupt predator. The creature was not even 4 yards away when Rob to aim. Cocking his gun Rob put pressure on the trigger. The projectile launched from the barrel impaling the metallic Titan in chest. A magnificent white aura emitted from its now frozen body.
Rob exterminated it before heading back to complete his Holy Mission

Act 4- Phade, Phear, Phrost.
Phade Assail, Leader of the Brothers on Demitis, cautiously walked up the slope leading to where the terran commander was being held captive. All along the way cursing in his head about why the demons didn’t need nor use stairs. Phade hid throughout the shadows lining the flamers base, dodging even the most cunning flaming demon, until he reached his destination. Phear Darhaert, secound in command, went to save there brother that was trapped in the forts lower levels. A incredible strange mist had surrounded Phades other brother, Tihera Phrost reveling her to the enemy, Phade forced her to retreat back to the shelter of the terran encampment. Phade would not allow anyone to die needlessly now that they were so close completing there objective.
Phade quickly slid into the dark metallic cell of the terrans prison. This will need to be quick, for Phade had very little time before this part of the planet become uninhabitable by the holocaust the Ghost was momentarily about to unleash.
“Who...” was the only word the pathetic man on the floor could murmur. The wretched soul on the ground went through some extensive torture by the look of his wounds. Phade wondered how many secrets he had given away to the Demons. The man made a attempt to raise his head to see who had visited him.
No more suffering his eyes pleaded.
Phade ignited his warpblade.

Act 5- Brothers of the Night.
Phear, slowly made his way to the basement. The two other Brothers and him looked the same when not invisible. They all wore a gray cloak that wrapped around there heads, witch helped them hid from attackers but offered very little protection. There massive warpblade igniters connected to there fore arms, a simple thought and a sword of dark energies would be summoned to silence all who threatened its wearer. Phear walked up to his longtime friend, who was lying on the floor in agony.
The Protoss in the metal cell groaned when the killer standing above him taped his head. He ripped open his eyelids, seeing his best friend from when he was only a small child.
“Phear,” The broken warrior mumbled softly. There was only one other person in the entire galaxy that the Templar in chains would rather have seen and she was light years away. Phear’s warp blade sliced past the night air before striking the flaming shackles that bounded his Brother of the Night to the metal prison. Phear reached down, picking up his most trusted friend. He leaned over whispering “We must be going dear brother.”
They headed for the door as Phear handed the newcomer some protective gear, that would allow him to hid more effectively from the demons penetrating gaze. Together, they climbed up the slope that led to the surface. Phear prayed Phade would be there on time. This whole establishment was going to hell in mere minutes. Only with help from the Ways would they see the light of another day on there beloved home world.
Reaching the top of the slope required a vast amount of physical strength on Phears part since he was walking for his lost comrade as well. Phade stood at the gate leading out of the base, the only exit. A smile stretched his worn features as Phear brought there long time friend to him.
“Well done,” Phade complemented. Phade helped share the weight of the former Solarin captive from Phears weary shoulders.
The exit was under heavy patrol. Seven of the gigantic Demons stood in the killers path. Escape was impossible. Phear and Phade sparked on there coveted warp blades. When we die, we die fighting thought the trio. Even the Protoss that couldn’t walk on his own tightened his fist, preparing himself for combat.
“’And they shall strike into the lines of the demons forever sealing there fate.’” quoted Phear from one of the Ways religious readings. Suddenly all of the demons ran to the mountain that lay just beyond Demitis city. With the demons preoccupied, together, they slipped out of the base under the cover of darkness.
“Our plan worked perfectly,” Whispered Pyrotharis to his Brothers of the Night.

Act 6- Into Oblivion.
Rob climbed the mountain overlooking the new masters of Demitis capital. This would be easy if that cursed wind would only stop for a minute. He climbed fast but carefully, fearing he would be brushed from the face of the mountain under the constant beatings of the horrible wind.
After slaying the metal creature, Rob headed for the high ground to buy himself some time to complete his Holy Mission. He would not allow anything to stand in his way. This most holy act most be fulfilled. Many lives depended on him, Rob knew, but the main reason Ghost never complained when ordered to do a Holy Mission was the feelings they received as the blessed act was executed.
Robs hand slammed down onto the top of the cliff. His legs ached as he stood up taking in his vast surroundings. The city the Aliens set up was magnificent. Brightly light up at almost every corner, it was truly a wonderful site.
Rob aligned his scope accordingly.
Clicking open a little red box on the right side of his weapon, Rob pressed the crimson bottom. Robs body was hit with the strongest adrenaline rush as his feet went to the proper position, his barrel lined up perfectly with the main support pillars, which were made entirely of fire. Seven small entities began to scale the cliffside, in a failed attempt to chase after him. His face was a massive grin. The words his people said religious marked him to the core.
For the Order.
For the sacred shot.
We press the trigger that will silence a thousand screams.
Send millions into Oblivion.
Nuclear Launch Detected, the words that haunted millions, resounded within his ears. The most feared weapon of the galaxy was about to set the world ablaze with its dreaded touch.
The beautiful missile menacingly dropped on the Aliens capitol. It’s radiance was wonderful, Robs entire body was filled with pleasure.
The Nuclear weapon descended to plunge the city Into Oblivion.
With the glow of a million stars it crashed into the surface of Demitis. Something was wrong Rob knew when his body was hit with a massive wave of nuclear energy. He never felt so alive, yet he knew something went wrong, as his body was filled with the glorious radiance of the Nuke.

Act 7- Syltin
The initial shock wave threw the Lord of the Solaris to his knees. He grunted as his Demonic visage was discarded to the floor like a doll no longer wanted by its playmate. His head spun as he lay in immense pain on the metal floor of his domain.
Not again.
Syltin wondered how many times these foul humans could beat at him with those devastating weapons. No matter, thought the Lord of Fire and Steel. These foolish Terrans and the insane Protoss haven’t even seen what true power is. I will show them. A smirk of soon to be vengeance crossed his blazing mouth. I will show these children if you play with fire, you get burned.
How amazingly idiotic to dare strike at which is immortal. Just as one might curse at a God when a loved one perishes, They must strike at the Immortal Syltin, when he ends a life. I am the true masters of this galaxy, no other creatures can compete with my superior intellect.
Syltin was still enraged at the latest Nuclear strike.
He would show them.
All of them.
The nearly invincible being began his journey to the core of Demitis. With his fleet in orbit, escape would be a simple task. But these Terran must pay for there crimes against me, thought Syltin as he headed for one of his most Prized weapon.
His fiery hand slide along the rocky passageway which lead to one of his strongest creation. This machine was the second most potent device at Syltin disposal. He doubted he would ever need to use the first against these children. Syltin looked around him. They were massive energies at work in the center of Demitis. His diabolical plan was put underway as soon as the last Protoss was beaten to death, back when he made landfall here.
Syltin walked to the main stream of energy. A river of green energy flooded past his fiery figure. Shoving both hands into the green stream, his body tingled as it changed to a malicious blue, Syltins complexion followed suit. The very earth he was standing on began to vibrate heavily at his interference with the energy stream. Syltins complex mind seized control of every living solairs on Demitis, ordering them to leave the planet immediately. Syltin made his way back to the surface before he changed forms. As the King of Blaze and metal turned into a massive serpent made of pure flame, he floated past the atmosphere. His dead base quaked at a increased rate.
I am the true master of this galaxy. No one can match me. Not now. Not ever.
