Lookie, a BR!!
A [TASK] And "Taco
guy" Battle Report
Greetings
This is a game that I never really intended on BRing
until it got about half way through, and I realized it was a very good game, so I decided
to do a text only report and make it as good as possible.
Please enjoy.

Early Game
The game started
and Random went supply and then dual rax on 7!! while all three Protoss
followed similar if not same dual gate builds. The first battle started as Random and his
partner Drunk went over to Psycho's base with zealots and marines and started wreaking havoc,
that was until Taco got there with zealot support and helped Psycho dispatch the threat.
Then of course came the counter. Psycho and Taco both took all their units to Drunk's base. They attacked Drunk, but with
some help from Random, he survives.
Mid Game
This is where it
starts to get real good, especially for the observer since he cant yell about the incoming
threat of... oops... cant spoil it. Read on. Now Taco and Psycho both have
expansions, while Random and Drunk don't. At this time Taco decided to see what damage
he could do to Random with his about 4-5 DTs. He goes to attack Random, and sees the missile
turret and is attacked, he then wisely retreats and regroups to attack Drunk. He files
the DTs into Drunk's base with little trouble seeing that he only has 1 cannon, and it is
not even fully warped in from Aiur yet. luckily, Random comes to save the day
with M&M as well as comstat. He comstats the elusive DTs and then proceeds to kill
them. Unfortunately, he runs out of ComStat and the Cannon doesn't have enough sight range
so Drunk loses both of his gateways to the DTs before they walk away.
Now, Team 1 attempts a second, stab at killing poor Psycho. This
attack fails due to well placed templar and Cannons with Goon/Zealot support. At this
point the game starts to heat up even more, as another assault (the best show of the game)
was pulled off by Team 2. They attack Drunk with
astounding force, yet are some how repelled even after he was attacked with goons, DTs,
and Templar to kill the enemy M&M and Dragoons. This was an amazing victory for Drunk, (who was
under attack the most the whole game), but it would be his last. After this big battle, Random begins
construction of Dropships and more Tanks which he hadn't been making before, for what
looked like a turbo newbie. At the same time, Team 2 attacks Drunk
with all they have, and totally decimates him in a matter of seconds, luckily he is
allowed to stay and watch. Random then takes his Turbo Newbie "fleet" of 3 tanks
and 4 marines to Taco's natural expansion ledge and takes out the base along with 2
cannons and a forge. Now Taco had to start the most fun part of SC: 'Mining from the
mineral-only because you got turbo-newbied and don't have enough money to build a new
Nexus yet'!
Late Game
With possession of his
natural, his mineral only, and the bottom right Psycho starts his 6 Starports and Fleet Beacon, and begins work on
his carrier fleet. At this point Random was basically just biding his time and decided to attack Taco with all he
had. Unfortunately for him, they both had 3 times as many Dragoons than he had M&M and
Tanks so he lost basically everything, but did manage to take out a great deal of Taco and Psycho's troops. Random continues
to build even though he knows he has lost, continuing to make Tanks, Infantry, etc. About
5 minutes after the attack on Taco Team 2 decides it is
time to end it. They send all of their Dragoons, along with the 6 carriers. The Dragoons
are dispatched by Tanks but the Carriers remain, and run through Random's base while
everyone talks about why they won/lost the game.
Post Game Show
It was a well
fought game, and all the players did great. I can only hope I get the report on a game of
this caliber again, and get some pictures with it, to help everyone to understand it and
it's intensity more.
There are a few things I learned from
this game and I felt I should share those with you:
Early rushes aren't always good, in
this case it set Random and Drunk back
The Terran in the equation helped
out Drunk a lot I believe, and another Protoss might not have been as good
Nexi cost 400 minerals (each).
Please keep this in mind as you spend money while your only expansion is getting raped by
a Turbo Newbie
I want Pics.
