Lifetime Rating for {t4r}KronosIII: 2.8750 |  | Hello and welcome to this Battle Report! This is about a game called --drumroll--Escape Velocity!! *Tinkers with html* Let me explain what this game is.
It was originally a single player only tradeing/space fighting/roleplaying game, but with some clever hacking (I LOVE REALbasic BTW.) I turned it into --drumroll-- a
MULTIPLAYER game as well! It is only useable through my
Macintosh, and it's only way to play multi player, is trough a TCP/IP conection.
I have installed this only several of my friends computers, and this is where I stop babbling and actually tell you how it works. You have 1 ship, you can buy upgrades/weapons/defensive stuff at planets that you land on, with the multi-player function, it's a continous world. (Think ultima-online/everquest)
HEY!! STOP LEAVING!!! --Shout from the back-- This is BORING!! All you do is upgrade your ship!! --Me--Just you wait a few more seconds. Now then, the action starts here, there are Plug-Ins that you can put into the game and it's the same game engine, differnt graphics, ships, worlds, missions Ect. The multi-player dosen't do that yet, but I am working on it.
Their are 4 major goverments: The Confederates,(Spelling?)patriotic dictators. The Rebellion, Men fighting for justice and liberty, The Independates, Not really a goverment -hence their name- but nuteral, and The Pirates, ruthless and evil.
Well now, thats over with! This was a fire-fight with my friend, but it will not be over quickly! {insert evil laugh here} On with the battle report!

I was doing my daily rounds, racking up the usual 100,000.00
credits (money). When the dreaded ship the Adventurer apeared on my radar. The Adventurer was my friends pumped-up Kestrel, the Kestrel is a small cruser class ship, and my friends personal favorite.
He hailed me, it read: "Say your prayers!". Then I got scared, my puny Corvette was no match for his Kestrel, but the StarBlaze (My ships name) was going to put up a good fight!
I was going to do a fly-by fast attack and then warp into Confederate space and make his fire hit a confederate ship, then he would be toast! At least thats what I thought. I flew by and fired several Javalin rockets into his shields, takeing him down to 96%, he was rapidly recharging.
I warped and took a few hits from Proton Bolt Turrets before jumping into confederate territory. I did a quick ship-check and saw, to my delight, 2 confederate frigates ready to lay the smaketh downth.
He jumped in, and I got my shields down to 25% from missle fire, I got really scared there, he started fireing rockets at me, then it happaned, to my delight,one of his rockets hit one of the Confederate frigates, They fired uppon him, he fired back, he won. I was to scared to think, with shields of 45% and no help in sight, I was dead.
Then I had an idea! I slamed 5 torpedos into his shields and warped to a asteroid-cluttlerd space system, asteroids block shots. From here I could take pot-shots with my missles/torpedos and effectivly reduce his confidence, then I could jump into a "Exit Game" system, and flee. It was not going to be that easy.
I contiuned to bombard him, then the weapon of all weapons hit me, the Particle Beam, my shields were permanetly deleted, and I was out of torpedos and missles, I was going to give it my all! I was heading straight for him, turrets blazeing, rockets fireing, engines at full, this was it!!!!
--beeep-- he had quit the game! His ship was there for me too pluder! I came out of the battle with a brand spankin' new 100,000,00.00$ and 50 torpedos!! Ahhh...life is bliss!
Lessons learned:
1.) Kestrels > Corvettes, especially pumped up ones.
2.)I am the most gosu game hacker in the universe!
3.)You can download Escape Velocity if you have a mac, View or Add Comments (# of comments thus far: 8)
