Introduction
So here I was, just sitting around ~Nohunters, watching the text chat zoom by. All the while wondering if there would ever be a game that wouldn't ban me if I tried to obs. Dmn2 joined, asking (spamming?) for a 2vs2. I agree to play, as to save myself from completely losing sanity from the mindless discussions in ~Nohunters. I join the game, somehow expecting it to be on the Bob's Obs version of Temple. I was wrong. The map choice was Rivalry. Somehow (cough) I become an observer, and the game was off.

My red cursor blends right in to the text.

My cursor completely messes up this picture. Status spawned Purple Zerg at the 11:00 position.
Dmn2 floated his White Command center down to the 1:00 position.

VS

Rotate warped in his Orange Nexus at the 7:00 position.
-FaTe warped in his Brown Nexus at the 5:00 position.

Build Orders
Rotate and -FaTe, the dual Protoss team, elected to follow similar builds. Their builds are as follows:

Rotate went Pylon - Gateway - Pylon - Gateway - Cybernetics Core - Citadel of Adun - Templar Archives, obviously teching for Templar.
-FaTe went Pylon - Gateway - Pylon - Gateway - Cybernetics Core - Pylon - Gateway - Citadel of Adun - Templar Archives, also teching for Templar.

On the other side of the map, Dmn2 gets a Supply Depot - Barracks - Factory - Depot - Depot - Factory, Heavy Metal anyone?
Status goes Overlord - Hatchery at Natural - Spawning Pool - Hatchery. Status's build is interrupted, though. As soon as Rotate's fourth Zealot is warped in from Aiur, Rotate announced their plan, Hit Zerg. FaTe has been warping Zealots also, so 10 Zealot warriors march towards Status.

The Game Starts

Peon of the Game, a drone with 2 kills.

Status was able to hold off the attack, with good micro and help from Dmn2. Dmn2 has not been idle during this time, he has plopped down an Armory, Spider-Mined his whole natural expansion, and has commenced production of Goliaths. We all know how good Goliaths are against Zealots, right?I'm mmeellttiinngg!

Rotate scouts Dmn2 with two Dark Templar, one of which is quickly killed by the spider mines. The other one heads up the ramp, and is quickly dispatched of by two Goliaths and an Overlord. FaTe uses his newly created Zealot swarm to charge against Dmn2. The Zealots kill the Goliaths guarding the ramp, and move on to attack the Machine Shop on the closest Factory.

No Machine Shops allowed. That should teach you not to get Goliaths. At FaTe's main, he has warped in his first Templar, while Rotate expanded to his own natural. Status is building up, he put down a Hydralisk Den, and is mass-producing Zerglings and Hydralisks. He sends his army to help his partner, Dmn2What's that? Zerg? I thought we killed him already.

Counter Attacks
With the Zealot threat purged, it was time for the Terran and Zerg combo to go on the offensive. The Zerg Swarm crawled, slithered, and floated down to FaTe's main, while Dmn's Terran force, consisting of 6 Siege Tanks and 4 Goliaths, sieges and blows the hell out of Rotate's natural, just as Rotate takes the 6:00 expansion.
What was Rotate doing this whole time?

The Zerg Swarm loses most of its numbers to Psionic Storm, though. Orange reinforcements arrive, in the form of Zealots. Rotate and FaTe are able to stop the Zerg attack with their few Zealots. Here is an animated gif of the defense of FaTe's choke. Animated gifs rule!
Dmn2 moves across the map, and makes his way to FaTe's burning main. 7 of Status's Hydralisks found Rotate's 6:00 expansion. As it was completely undefended, the 7 Hydralisks proceeded to lay waste to the expansion.

Dmn2's metal army runs up Fate's ramp, and takes up siege, while Status takes on Rotate. A bloody battle rages. Storm flies. Tanks siege. But in the end our Terran and Zerg team is victorious.

Probe drops own.
But Wait, There's More!
A well fought game by both sides, I thought the Zealot rush would have temporarily disabled Status, but due to his super-peon and good micro, he survived and turned the game around.

I have nothing to say about this picture.

And yes, an animated minimap.

The first game is over, over I say. Another game? Where did you get that idea?

The one picture that my cursor is not in

Due to circumstances beyond my control, Rotate and Fate did not play this game. So, the second game will be:

Dmn2 and -SexyMedics-

VS

ThinLine=Terror and Status

Build Orders
Dmn2 gets a Spawning Pool - Overlord - Hatchery @ Choke - Hatchery. His build was interrupted by rushing, so see below.
-SexyMedics- gets a Barracks at his choke, a Supply Depot at choke, a Bunker at choke, a Refinery, and dual Factories.

Status went Supply Depot at choke, and then a Barracks at choke, for a wallin. He then gets an additional Barracks, a Supply Depot, a Refinery, and then an Academy. ThinLine=Terror goes Pylon - Gateway - Pylon - Gateway - Forge - Cybernetics Core - Robotics Facility - Robotics Support Bay.

For Every Action...
As soon as Dmn2's Spawning Pool finishes, the Zerg Cerebrate sends a force of 6 Zerglings, hoping to catch ThinLine=Terror unprepared. The Zerg commander has no such luck, his Zerglings are attacked as they go up ThinLine=Terror's ramp. The Zerglings slide by, hoping to find undefended Probes in ThinLine=Terror's peon line.

No undefended Probes here.

...There is a More Powerful and Devastating Reaction.
I pity you 56kers. Oh, wait. I am a 56ker.

While this was happening, Status floats a Command Center down to his natural, expands to the 12:00 expansion and also expands to the right gas only expansion in the center. ThinLine=Terror expands to the 3:00 expansion. Also, at his main, -SexyMedics- has created a small force of Siege Tanks. The next action goes to everyone's favorite Terran-Protoss team. 8 Marines and 3 Dragoons march up Dmn2's ramp. Only with help from -SexyMedics- does he survive this attack, and even then it was a close call.

Like Dmn has not seen enough action in his main already.
Things are not looking good for Dmn2 and -SexyMedics-. Status has been producing cloaked Wraiths to compensate for -SexyMedics-'s Vultures and Tanks. Three factory-new Goliaths, with com-sat, are able to destroy these air invaders, but if you look at the minimap below, you can see that -SexyMedics- is in desperate need of an expansion.

The minimap below.

They Keep Going and Going...
Until They Stop

As you may have guessed, this game is winding down. Status has marched M&M and Tanks to Dmn2's main. What follows is perhaps the most bloodiest battle of this series. No relation to the map.
Blood flows everywhere as dead Hydralisks and Marines rot the battleground. The Terran prevail though, and Dmn2 is wiped out.

-SexyMedics- is faring no better. He takes his Tanks as a desperation attempt, but they are chopped up by Wraiths. With no money, partner, or army. -SexyMedics- is forced to concede the game. There are no scores for this game, because being the retard I am, I forgot to take pictures of them.

Winners of Game 2: Status and ThinLine=Terror

And of course, the animated minimap!

Game Three, the last game.

Status and ThinLine=Terror

VS

Dmn2 and -SexyMedics-

Build Orders
Status goes Pylon - Gateway - Pylon - Pylon - Gateway - Pylon -Cybernetics Core - Citadel of Adun - Robotics Facility - Gateway - Templar Archives
ThinLine=Terror sticks to a similar build, with Pylon - Gate - Pylon - Gate - Pylon - Forge - Cybernetics Core - Citadel of Adun - Templar Archives.

-SexyMedics- gets a Barracks and a Supply Depot at his choke, while going Supply Depot - Supply Depot - Barracks - Barracks - Refinery back at home.
Dmn2 gets a Spawning Pool, Hatchery and an Overlord, but then, like always, he gets rushed.

Rush, You Want More Rush?
As soon as Status's first Zealot was created, he sends it, accompanied by two Probes, to Dmn2's base. The mighty Protoss force begins to attack Dmn2's Hatchery, which was, er... guarding the choke. Multiple waves ensure destruction, as Dmn2, with very impressive micro, managed to lose his 4 Drones and 5 Zerglings to Zealots, without causing a single casualty. When all hopes were fading about survival, who should show up but
-SexyMedics- and 10 Marines.

If Something Bad Can Happen, It Will.
This statement must be particularly true for -SexyMedics- and Dmn2. ThinLine=Terror has been anything but idle. He has been teching for Templar. Hard. Just as Status gets beaten back, ThinLine=Terror brings in two Dark Templar on the unsuspecting Zerg Main.
Yes, this game is over.
Dmn2 surrenders the game, and -SexyMedics- pulls off the best move of the entire series...
SexyMedics was probably fearing for his record. It was a UMS damnit!

Post Game Comments.
(Translation: Lessons Learned)

- Zealot rushes can be effective, but only sometimes.
- Rivalry is like Temple, but with more bridges.
- Storm did not play an important part of this series.
- Never, ever, disconnect when someone is Battle Reporting the game.

Comment please. Criticism is fine, but constructive criticism is preferred. I hope you enjoyed the first ever DarkMage report
