A boy in Japan had another virtual pet. Kids get attached to them, like blankies. Well, after it "aged", it did, as all pets do, die. Unable to cope with the loss, he shortly after, committed suicide.
Please take this into consideration and just wait for the pictures to load, then try to realize how many times a day a virtual pet dies. =[

Hello I'm back to reporting once again in which hopefully I have gained more experience than my previous reports. This report, however I have chosen a much better game between two very experienced players. At first I just thought about distributing the replay but after watching it a second time I thought to myself "this is a really good game" and got busy reporting it right away.
But before that..
One afternoon I was bored of endless hours of Counter-Strike and decided I'd watch some games on Brood War. Not finding anything in ~nh I wandered over to Clan X17 and to my surprise there were players I knew. At first I saw DS-Testie, and thought "with him in my br, I could get multiple 10's, er no wait he hacks". Then [bs]RaGE caught my eye, which is formally known in ~nh as "-RaGE". I asked him if he was interested in starring in a battlereport. He agreed and he led me into "Clan bs" (and yes "bs" does stand for "Bullshit") for an opponent. We met up with [bs]Inferno, a fellow clanmate of his and they organized a game on lt gamei. Afterwards we decided to make it a "Best of 3 game Series".
[bs]RaGE
Pros- He is an excellant all around player but most impressive is his multitasking and speed. He can easily mobilize an attack while still working in his main as well as expanding.
Cons- Gets inconsistent at scouting.
[bs]Inferno
Pros- Like Rage he is an excellant all round player, but what really stands out his micro. In this game, even though it is PvT, his micro is some of the best I've seen.
Cons- Obtains more gas than minerals, in some cases the gas count can triple the mineral count.
Inferno, randoming as brown Protoss at 12:00 opts for a rather unusual Protoss build order. He starts out with a Pylon at 8 and continues queuing Probes until generally around 450 minerals. He then proceeds to warp in 3 Gateways generally close to one another followed by a Pylon close by. Shortly after he scouts clockwise finding his opponent Rage doing a ordinary Terran build order. This generally consisted of a Supply Depot on 9, Barracks on 11, and another Depot on 16, otherwise known as the Terran wallin.
Rage began producing Marines while he obtained gas while his opponent queued up 3 Zealots out of his newly warped Gateways. Shortly after Rage started a Factory while his opponent’s position is still unknown. Rage's Factory finishes and a Machine Shop is added on while a brief confrontation ensues as the Zealots ascends up Rage's ramp finding no opening then retreating. Rage takes this time to build a Starport while Inferno once again ascends Rage's ramp with 5 Zealots stabbing at the wallin but to no avail. Rage just simply repairs as his Marines fire at the Zealots while Inferno shortly after warps in a Cybernetics Core as well as gathering gas.
Rage on the other hand, prepares an attack with a Dropship and 2 Tanks and hovers over to his opponents main. The Dropship unloads the Tanks beside the cliff to the left of his opponents main. The Tanks do little damage before loaded up again to be placed on the mineral line. The Tanks fire on some Zealots only to transported below the cliff, which then kill a Dragoon. They siege and fire on a small Protoss army approaching them below, they manage to kill a Zealot then are loaded up once again.
The Dropship, however, is shortly fired upon by some Dragoons and is forced to drop the Tanks before exploding only unloading one. The Tanks does little damage as Rage is disappointed that the attack didn't do as much as he expected.
Despite his efforts Rage manages to expand to his natural while at the same time constructing 2 more Factories to increase production. Inferno has also expanded to his natural, however fearing turbo newbie, he is forced to add a Robotics Facility to secure his expansion. His expansion is soon uncovered as Rage sacrifices a Engineering Bay floating into Dragoon fire, however it got the job done.
Inferno produces a Shuttle and continues to pump units out of his Gateways. Rage on the other hand, constructs an Armory and begins production of Vultures after he researches Spider Mines. His opponent loads up 4 Zealots in his newly produced Shuttle while Rage attempts to turbo newbie. The 2 transportation vessels race to the plateau but the Shuttle unloads first, causing Rage to return to his main.
Inferno scouts his opponents choke with a Zelaot, moments later he attacks it with 9 Zealots accompanied by 7 Dragoons. Rage lays mines while his Tanks positioned above the ramp pick off the enemies. First to go down are the Zealots from the Mines/Tank then the Dragoons penetrate the expansion. However, the Vultures group together and pick off the Dragoons one by one. During this Inferno loads up 3 Zealots from a nearby Shuttle and drops them on top of the sieged Tanks. They manage to kill 2 of the Tanks before getting killed themselves to some reinforcing Tanks and Vultures. Without the drop added after the main attack was shutdown, the entire attack would have been unsuccessful.
Moments later Inferno expands to 9:00's natural while adding a Gateway and 2 Forges to begin upgrading. Rage, after being victorious, rolls out of his main in an attempt to contain his opponent. He lays down mines and sieges Tanks closely behind as well as 2 Tanks on the edge of his main using the cliff to his advantage. Inferno meanwhile notices the containment as a few of his Dragoons and a Zealot are drawn to their deaths from Tank fire. He loads up 4 Zealots and drops them onto the 2 Tanks stationed on the edge of his opponents main. Rage, however, loaded them up before any could die and took liberty in expanding twice, once to 6:00's main and 6:00's natural.

The 4 Zealots are quickly killed before any major damage could be done while Rage adds more Mines to compliment his containment force. Inferno quietly builds up an army of 4 Dragoons and 4 Zealots reinforced by a Observer to detect the Mines and attacks the front. Rage tries to lure them into the Mines already knowing he had an Observer from his Science Vessel. It works, the Zealots die first taking the Vultures with them leaving the Dragoons to battle with the sieged Tanks. Rage uses this time to D-Matrix 1 of his Tanks while the second Tank dies to 4 Dragoons. The Tank manages to kill 1 Dragoon before losing its shield and dieing. Overall the attack prevented the containment to get bigger and possibly end the game.
Moments later Inferno spots the 6:00 expansions courtesy of a scouting Observer and immediately takes action. He gathers an army fresh out of his Gateways while adding a Templar Archives and marches south. He attacks the front, which contains Mines and 2 sieged Tanks. Rage meanwhile is simply maynarding SCV's to the expansions while also expanding to the 6:00 mineral only, when the attack hits him. The Dragoons pick off the Mines one by one due to the detection of the Observer and run over the 2 Tanks losing only a few units.
The army begins pounding into natural as the maynarding SCV's move right by which the Dragoons then pursue. Rage desperately tries to reinforce them, however, the Dragoons follow them up the ramp and kill nearly all of them along with the Command Center. The attack was highly successful for Inferno who killed a lot of SCV's along with taking out the 6:00 main and stopping the construction on the 6:00 mineral only.

Rage reinforces his 6:00 natural determined to keep it unlike the others, he also adds another Factory totaling the number to 6. Inferno meanwhile drops yet again 4 Zealots onto 3 sieged Tanks positioned on the edge of the cliff. The Zealots kill all 3 Tanks along with an Armory before dieing to a good-sized army Rage has been building up. However, after Rage kills off the Zealots he never bothered to move them back to defend the choke, which will come into play later.
Rage sends out an SCV to build a CC at 6:00's mineral only unaware of a Dragoon, which destroys it while in construction. As much of a small factor as it was, I think it was a big setback for Rage, who was planning to secure the 6:00 section. Inferno meanwhile expands to 9:00's main and adds defense to his 9:00 natural with some Dragoons and Zelaots.
Inferno sends a new Dark Templar to the 6:00 natural but is killed when spotted by a Missile Turret. Rage on the other hand begins construction on the CC after chasing away the Dragoon while building Turrets around it. He then scans the 9:00 natural and notices the expansion his opponent has been running quietly for some time now. Rage sends some Vultures to lay Mines close by the expo while sieging Tanks closely behind in an attempt to Tank push it. Inferno then notices that the Tanks are far out of range to cause any damage to the expansion and instead of attacking it, he counters by attacking his opponent’s main. Inferno gathers 5 Dragoons, 8 Zealots, and a Dark Templar.
After killing a few Tanks and some Vultures on the way to the main, Inferno ascends the ramp and finds little defense. 3 Tanks siege killing a couple of Zealots while Rage reinforces the main by sending some much-needed Tanks. The Tanks kill 2 Zealots while another Tank inside the main sieges and kills the Dragoons. Inferno, during the attack, has multitasked by producing several new Zealots and Dragoons and ascends the ramp once again. The Dragoons die from the Tank fire while the Zealots swiftly kill them and begin ripping into the Factories.
Inferno keeps sending units out of his Gateways to make matters for Rage even worse. But you remember the units Rage left in the top of his main dealing with the Zealot drop? Rage notices them and kills off the Zealots who managed to almost destroy 1 Factory while killing off the other Protoss units trying to ascend the ramp.
During the attack, Rage moved his Tanks within range of the 9:00 natural, which Inferno currently had. The attempt proved unsuccessful as Inferno showed great multitasking between 2 different attacks and destroyed the Tanks before any major damage was done.
Meanwhile Inferno has constructed 2 Stargates, and a good number of Corsairs to follow up with it. Rage on the other hand is intent on destroying the 9:00 natural, and quickly sends in Vultures to lure out the Protoss army inside.
It works, his opponents units follow the Vulture into a Minefield injuring nearly all of them. Inferno however, has been continuously scouting the 6:00 natural and now feels the time is right to attack. He gathers 8 Dragoons and 3 Zealots, along with the units still left in the 6:00 main.
Rage sees the attack coming from a brief scan and tries to intercept it from an army of his own. The Protoss warriors move right around it unhurt and infiltrate the 6:00 natural.
3 Tanks stationed in the natural die swiftly to the oncoming attack while Rage moves his army attempting to reinforce his dieing expansion. The Tanks roll in killing all of the Protoss invaders losing only a couple Tanks themselves. However, this was a major loss for Rage who lost at least half of the SCV's along with the mineral only expansion.
Seconds later Rage tries another Tank push onto the 9:00 natural, while Inferno expands to the northwestern island. Inferno also has a Fleet Beacon researching Disruption Web with 8 Corsairs idle and a Shuttle en route to his opponents main with 2 Reavers in its hull.
It unloads destroying a Turret then being destroyed themselves to a nearby Tank.
The attempted Tank push on the other hand, only consisted of 2 Tanks surrounded by Mines. Rage adds 3 more Tanks, however Inferno brings the Corsair into play and D-Webs the sieged Tanks while an army is upon arrival. The army catches up while Rage desperately unsieges then re-sieges battling the D-Web, however it is too late and all 5 Tanks are destroyed.
Inferno returns to his Stargates and begins constructing 2 Carriers while Rage builds up a sizeable army consisting of amass of Vultures and Tanks which are then sent to the middle. Inferno however, expands to his mineral only while loading up 2 more Reavers and transporting them to his 9:00 natural.
Rage scans the 9:00 natural once again finding a couple Dragoons and Zealots with Corsairs hovering above. He feels its safe to attack and sends in the Vultures first with the Tanks trailing behind. But Inferno's Shuttle arrives and unloads the Reavers, which devastate nearly all of the Vultures.

He then D-Webs the sieged Tanks while his Reavers manage to kill a Tank. His opponent tries to lay Mines while once again battling the D-Web casted over his Tanks. But it is to no avail, the Reavers destroy the remaining Vultures while the Tanks are useless under the Disruption Web.
Back in Inferno's main, 2 Carriers are fully functional with another in its process of completing. Rage meanwhile, expands back to the 6:00 main and now controls the entire 6:00 vicinity. He also sieges Tanks outside of the 9:00 natural to buy time for a force of Vultures and Tanks en route to his opponents main. The force arrives while the Vultures lay mines with Tanks sieging close behind. However before this occurs, Inferno recognizes the expansion at the 6:00 main and eliminates it with 2 Reavers. Inferno then transports them to the 6:00 natural where they kill many SCV's before the rest of the SCV's can retreat to the 6:00 natural.
Meanwhile back at the Tank push Rage tries to lure the Protoss units with his Vultures into the Tanks and Mines. However even though it works, the 2 Carriers destroy nearly all the Vultures while Corsairs D-Web the Tanks causing them to unsiege and retreat.
Rage however managed to kill a lot of Dragoons before dieing to the Carriers, which convinced him to immediately start production of Goliaths.
Rage restores his 6:00 natural by chasing away the 2 Reavers while his opponent queues another Carrier. Soon Rage controlled 9 Goliaths to deal with the 3 Carriers in which were approaching his main. Inferno receives another Carrier with 1 more queued, and attacks with the 4 capital ships. Rage groups his Goliaths and before they can get a shot off Inferno retreats without causing much damage. Rage then notices the 12:00 mineral only expansion held by his opponent, who attacks the Tanks and Vultures positioned in the center of the map using his Carriers. Rage immediately sends all of his 3-3-3 upgraded Goliaths to deal with the 2-3 Carriers while his Tanks/Vultures are defenseless. The Goliaths arrive chasing away the Carriers while Rage gathers all of his units and attacks the 12:00 mineral only.

The Goliaths lead the charge but are quickly pulled back when met up with some Dragoons. Rage allows his Vulture/Tank duo to catch up and attacks full fledge. The Goliaths manage to destroy one Carrier before Inferno casts 2 D-Web's over the Tanks and Goliaths. The D-Webs leave many Goliaths dead while the Tanks and Vultures tear into the expansion. Soon all the Goliaths die while Inferno casts D-Webs over the Tanks/Vultures to prevent any more damage to his expansion while the Carriers attack the defenseless units. However even though all the Goliaths, Tanks, and Vultures die to the Carriers, Rage managed to destroy the expansion, some Dragoons, destroy a Carrier, and damage the other 3 Carriers.
However, a moment later Inferno tries his luck with some Dragoons once again, and attacks the 6:00 natural. They run into 4 sieged Tanks and live no longer than 10 seconds while Inferno adds 2 more Stargates in his 9:00 main as well as expanding to the 9:00 mineral only. Rage however commands the entire 6:00 mineral nodes while each player currently has 3 mining positions, with Rage controlling the 6:00, Inferno controlling the 9:00 main and 9:00 mineral only.

Note: This only has to deal with Minerals/Gas only, Inferno technically has 4 mining positions counting the 9:00 natural with the Minerals dried up, but still Gas. But seeing how Inferno has nearly 6k Gas, the expansion isn't of much importance.
Inferno continues his Carriers down to the 6:00 expansions held by Rage destroying some helpless Tanks and Vultures along the way. Rage meanwhile, is stocking up on Goliaths while Inferno waits patiently for 2 new Carriers to arrive in his main. Before they arrive however, Inferno attacks the 6:00 mineral only while Rage reinforces it destroying a Carrier before Inferno can retreat.
He then uses the ledge from the 6:00 plateau leading into the mineral only to pick off many SCV's before more Goliaths arrive leaving Inferno with another Carrier destroyed and forced to hold back. He attacks it again but Rage controls his Goliaths up the ramp to hit the 2 Carriers from behind. Inferno desperately casts a D-Web which the Goliaths simply move away and continue pounding into the Carriers.
The 2 3-3-3 Goliaths amazingly withstand 2 Carriers and manage to damage one greatly before dieing. Inferno then sends them south right into 4 Goliaths, which damage one before Inferno can retreat to his 9:00 expansion greeted by 2 newly built Carriers.
Along with the 2 new Carriers produced in his expansion, Inferno has also quietly built 3 others in his main. While this attack was happening however, Rage attempted yet another Tank push on 9:00 natural while his Goliaths occupied the Carriers. The attempt failed when some Dragoons and Zealots stationed nearby eliminated the attack before it could become mobilized.
Within the next few minutes 3 events would occur almost simultaneously. Rage successfully sieges and destroys the 9:00 mineral only while also grouping together many Goliaths. Inferno on the other hand, gathers some Dragoons and attacks his opponent’s main but to no avail. Some Tanks and Vultures prevent any damage to occur while Inferno also bring his 7 Carriers into play and attacks the 6:00 mineral only.

Rage discovers this with a brief scan and intercepts the Carriers through the narrow gap separating the 9:00 main and 6:00 main. The results are devastating, Inferno loses 2 Carriers reducing the number to 5 before using the cliff to his advantage yet again. This time however, Rage scans the cliff giving his Goliaths a feel for where they are and manage to destroy another before Inferno can retreat.
As Inferno returned to his expansion he was greeted again by 2 new Carriers, however he lost his 9:00 mineral only. Rage on the other hand, floats a Command Center to the southern island and begins production.
He also rolls into the 9:00 natural with a force of Tanks and Vultures abruptly after his opponent sends his force of 6 Carriers to the 6:00 main.
Rage allows him to destroy it then chases him off before trying to penetrate the 6:00 natural. Inferno retreats without losing any Carriers after seeing his 9:00 natural fall to the force of Tanks and Vultures. Rage quickly retreats this force at the sight of his opponents Carriers approaching.
Rage retreats his force straight to his opponents main while Inferno expands to his mineral only. Seconds later Rage gathers a force of Goliaths and attacks the Carriers stationed outside the 9:00 main. However Inferno uses the cliff extending from the ramp to his advantage, and the Goliaths get slaughtered. A couple manage to get some missiles off but are soon sounded with a couple D-Webs.

Rage's other attack failed also, the force was unable to ascend the ramp due to 2 Reavers, which destroyed the Vultures. The Tanks held back then sieged, however due to the Reavers splash damage nearly all the Tanks sieged close to one another. This resulted in most of the Tanks dieing to the Reavers reinforced by a Dragoon and a Zealot ridding the other Tank.
Rage retreats his remaining Goliaths into open ground for a better results but Inferno obviously isn't stupid, and retreats his Carriers. Greeted again by 2 Carriers in the expansion, Inferno now commanded 8 Carriers, however he was out of minerals. Inferno commands his Carriers to the barren 6:00 main while Rage orders his all of his Goliaths to the center.
Inferno attacks the 6:00 mineral only which Rage then chases off, however this time after Inferno retreats to the 9:00 main, Rage ascends the ramp with all of his Goliaths. Inferno, without much of a choice, is forced to abandon the expansion and destroy the defenseless 6:00 natural and 6:00 mineral only.

After Rage rolls over the 9:00 main he takes another small force of Tanks and Goliaths and rids his opponents mineral only. Moments later Inferno destroys the island expansion held by Rage, who has just returned all of his Goliaths to the center in preparation for the Carriers. Inferno however attacks the natural before Rage can arrive. But when he does, Inferno casts D-Webs all over but doesn't cause any damage.
The last battle would be approaching, but first Inferno retreats while Rage destroys his opponents natural with Tanks and Goliaths. He then makes an attempt for the main but all this time Inferno, due to lack of minerals and abundance of gas, has been producing High Templar and Archons. The attack is stuffed, while Inferno has been producing hit and run attacks with his Carriers killing many Goliaths in small increments.
But when Inferno attempts another hit and run, Rage is waiting with nearly all his Goliaths. However Inferno casts a D-Web leaving many Goliaths dead and Rage forced to retreat to his main. Inferno attempts another hit and run but Rage splits his Goliaths in 2 groups causing Inferno to lose 3 Carriers within a short period of time.

It's a tense waiting period but it all goes down when Inferno attacks Rage's mineral only with a bunch of Archons and Templar. Rage tries to save it by descending his ramp but runs right into the Carriers. Inferno casts D-Webs over the Goliaths who manage to kill another Carrier reducing the number to 4. Rage steps down the ramp
as Inferno's Archons arrive after destroying an expansion while the Templars cast devastating storms over the Goliaths. Inferno then uses his Corsairs to D-Web them while his Archons eradicated all of them and proceeded to destroy the defenseless main. It was the last battle and determined the winner, Inferno.
Before it ended however Rage had expanded and attempted to tech-switch to Cloaked Wraiths, but with the abundance of Observers Inferno held, it was useless.
On the other hand, it truly was a great game and if some of the battles or information was hard to grasp, then take a look at the replay below.

Well there you have it, game 1 of this series, which I can already tell, will be a good one. It was a close ass game until the end where Inferno finally put his gas to use and eliminated the Goliaths. Without that, I think the Goliaths would have come out on top. But still, a wonderfully played game by both players and I hope you will stay tuned for game 2 where Rage tries to even it up!
Comments, Suggestions, and Questions always appreciated,
