Map: Temple
Skyblade 6 o'clock position, red terran
Upgraded Kakaru 12 o'clock , teal zerg
Standard beginings on both sides with Sky going 7-depot, 8-rax, 9-depot, 10-rax. KaKaru went with an 8-pool and the 10/9 extractor trick. Both players scouted and found each other almost immeadiately. Laying down two sunken colonies for defense againts a marine rush he made 2 more hactheries. Sky is gathering marines at his ramp and building an academy. Teal, building a very compact base, is making hydras by the handful. Sky sends 12 marines and 2 meds and bats, while making lurker D. A drone spots the marching marines and dies after giving Kakaru an advanced warning. Before charging in headlong, Sky scans and sees hydras massing at the ramp. He decides to wait until tanks can be made. Sending 1 tanks, 5 marines, and 2 medics and bats to reinforce the already strong taskforce, Sky blade goes for the final push. KaKaru has 20 or more hydras defending below the ramp when Sky attacks. No Survivers for swarm. sending two more tanks Sky quickly finishes off the teal base.
Strangely after all the buildings were destroyed, Kakaru was still not eliminated.
Lessons Learned:
Zerg must attack early and offten, they are not good at defending.
Terran infantry rocks.
Battle report writing takes a lot of notes. |
