Zeltior immediatly began rounding up his troops while Xaniir contacted executor Sabhur through telepathy. Kelvena, on the other hand, sat alone thinking about her previous battle's and the battle at hand.

She has always been gifted with skill and tenacity in battle, but she never thought she actually feared death. But when fighting the zerg, she couldn't help but be scared, they showed Ferocity the likes of which that even the most horrific story Xaniir told her couldn't even come close to matching up. She couldnt help but wonder what horror's she would see in the next battle, knowing the next battle would be far worse then the previous two.

Once again, almost as if on cue, Zeltior and Xaniir walked in breaking Kelvena's concentration. Xaniir was the first to speak.

"Executor Sabhur now knows of the zerg threat, and of the support Zeltior is willing to give. He has gathered his entire force consisting of 100 zealots, 50 dragoons, and 5 reavers supported by 10 plasma cannons. Not near enough to hold the zerg off but we beleive if we are able to trap them in between the hammer and the anvil we will be victorious. Zeltior will be the hammer and Sabhur will be the anvil." Xaniir said with his trademark calmness.

"I have managed to gather 200 dark templar to act as the hammer, we will follow the zerg in to the executors base and when they engage we will assault the back in hopes of peircing through them and surrounding them. We will be leaving immediatly." Zeltior continued, showing remarkable calmness as well.

"I understand...im ready," Kelvena said trying to reassure herself more then the other two.

The three quickly exited the tent to the waiting eyes of 200 dark templar ready for battle. They all showed the same zeal as the other protoss warriors before them, ready and willing to give their lives to save the small protoss base.

There was no speech this time, only the knowing stares between the many dark templar and their brave leader. They quickly left the camp and headed into the blackness of night.

And black it was, even with the many torches the warriors had the trail down the mountain was extremely difficult to navigate. Kelvena was also very quick to notice the trail they were taking was very wide and easy to hike, she now knew the trail she took up the mountain was a test.

The force made quick work of the mountain trail and were once again wading in the ravine water. The smell was horrid coming from the rotting corpse's of protoss and zerg alike.

"Wait..." Zeltior said through telepathic messaging, "something is coming, quickly douse your torches!"

The sound was unmistakable, though fairly far away, the zerg horde's were approaching them with speed. The dark templar quickly doused their torches in the ravine water and hugged against the mountain walls, realizing they had left too quickly and had arrived before the zerg.

Kelvena began breathing very slowly and stared straight forward as the zerg force passed. The blackness of the night hid the zerg from the eyes of the young hybrid but they were so close she could feel the rancid breath of the ravenous hydralisks on her face.

As the last of the zerg finally passed, Xaniir and Zeltior both told the dark templar to remain calm through a telepathic message. Finally after what seemed like an eternity, the entire protoss force let out a collective sigh of relief, now knowing the zerg were ahead of them and they could continue.

Kelvena rushed up to Xaniir's side and quietly walked with him. Now with no torches to guide them, the dark templar warriors had to rely on their ears to find their way. The sounds of the zerg just a couple miles ahead of them was more then enough to follow.

Xaniir and Kelvena both took the weather in stride, having already had to deal with the intense heat, but the dark templar were not used to the incredible heat and were starting to struggle. Even Zeltior was beginning to feel the effect's, and as the dark templar began lagging behind, the sounds of the zerg was getting fainter and fainter.

"The hammer will never reach the anvil..." Xaniir said to Kelvena, being the first to notice how hard the dark templar were taking the heat.

"We must try anyway..." Kelvena replied, noticing the sounds of the dark templar behind them was beginning to fade as well.

"Yes...we are almost there...I pray that the dark templar behind us will have enough energy to fight..." Xaniir said very worried.

The hours were long and tedious as they crossed the desolate terrain in the black of night, even Kelvena and Xaniir began feeling the effects of the heat.

The three began wondering if they would even be able to make it to the base rather yet combat the zerg, but just at that instance, the skies glowed a bright blue as the plasma pulses from the plasma cannons and the bolt's of photon energy blasted into the front lines of the zerg horde. The zerg had reached the anvil.

To Xaniir and Kelvena's amazement, the dark templar sprung to attention and sprinted to the zerg hordes showing no signs of fatigue at all. Xaniir and Kelvena, shocked by the dark templar warrior's new found energy, found themselves lagging behind, struggling to catch up with the others.

The hammer crashed into the zerg forces with great rage, warp blades slicing through hydralisk and zergling carapaces like butter while the crackle of psionic storm sent the bulk of the guardian's plummiting out of the sky and to their deaths. Kelvena quickly began hacking her way through oncoming zerglings along with the dark templar as the zerg struggled to coordinate themselves.

The anvil was beginning to shake though, the sounds of agonizing death from zerglings, zealots, and hydralisk's alike filled the air. The reavers frantically produced scarabs as fast as they could while firing them into the heart of the zerglings sending many to their deaths in feiry explosions.

The dark templar continued to carve through the zerg forces, even the ultralisk's couldn't handle the wrath of the powerful warp blade's. Zeltior struggled to keep the dark templar controlled as they furiously battled with the zerg.

Kelvena found herself beneath the shadow of numerious overlords and caught a glimpse of what appeared to be some giant egg's in the center of them. She stared at them for a bit before a wave of hydralisk spines crashed into her shields, once again sending her into the heat of battle.

A wave of acid blobs suddenly crashed into the front lines of the dark templar melting through their shields and burning the tender flesh of the warriors. The guardians had finally got themselves into perfect attacking position and continued hurling wave after wave of acid into the defenseless dark templar.

Zeltior frantically messaged Xaniir telling him that they could not handle the attacks of the guardians much longer. At that instant a blue sphere appeared on Xaniirs forehead, and in a mind bending display, Xaniir hurled that sphere at the guardians causing it to errupt in a powerful psionic storm.

The guardians roared out as their bodies and minds got thrashed from the inside out by the powerful crackle of the storm. Xaniir looked up at the rain of blood that was once the guardians and smiled, but just at that instance a wave of hydralisk spines tore through his shields and dug themselves into his inner body, sending him down to the ground in pain.

Kelvena, seeing what happened to Xaniir, quickly killed the attacking hydralisk and rushed over to Xaniir's side.

"Xaniir?! Are you alright??" Kelvena said in a rush, helping him away from the battling.

"Yes young one...quick...the battle is not yet won..." Xaniir said between painful breath's.

Kelvena laid her hand down on Xaniir's wounds and transfered some of her psionic energy to them, healing them slightly. Casting one last glance at her fallen friend, she once again waded into battle, this time with vengeance dominating her thought's.

The hammer had finally reached the anvil and executor Sabhur gave the order's to encircle the zerg forces, Zeltior commanded his dark templar to do the same as well.

The zerg, now fully aware of the trap they had walked into, began fighting more defensively. Ultralisk's stood up front and assaulted oncoming zealots and dark templar but were soon felled by the combined firepower of the remaining dragoons and reavers. Zerglings and hydralisk's soon took their place but they too could not handle the firepower from the opposing forces.

Kelvena and Zeltior now fought side by side, hacking and slicing through the thin carapace's of the zergling's. Suddenly though, the 6 egg's Kelvena had saw exploded in a mass of green goo, and what appeared to be giant spiders came out from them.

Kelvena was quick to point that out to Zeltior but no sooner had they errupted from their egg's then they burrowed deep into the ground. Zeltior passed it off and once again went to slicing through the oncoming zergling horde's.

Suddenly giant spikes errupted from the ground where the giant spiders had burrowed and the startled dark templar and zealot warriors were impaled on them and killed instantly. Zeltior gasped as another wave of spikes tore through the zealot and dark templar ranks killing many and injuring many others.

In a panic Zeltior commanded his dark templar to continue fighting not knowing how to deal with the new threat. Executor Sabhur also commanded his forces to press on, not knowing how to combat the spiders.

Another wave of spikes once again tore through the ground impaling many but at that same instance, like a gift from heaven, the devastating power of psionic storm ripped through the ground where the spiders were. The 6 spiders quickly unburrowed but were too late, they tried to scamper away but the psionic storm tore them to peices and they soon exploded in a circle of blood.

Xaniir limped over the dark templar forces where Kelvena was occasionally casting psionic storm to help beat back the zerg forces.

With the spiders now dead, the zerg soon realized they were out manuevered and were now outnumbered. In a great howl the remaining zerg forces retreated leaving only blood and pain behind them.

"That is quite the ability, young one..." Xaniir said showing Kelvena his now perfectly healed wounds.

"I...had no idea..." Kelvena said shocked at her own power.

"Do not worry...the battle is now over, we have won," Xaniir said, reassuring the young hybrid.

A few very nervous seconds passed as the two combined protoss forces casted weary glances at eachother, not knowing whether the battle was over or not. But soon, the two forces errupted in a collective cheer as they finally realized they had stemmed the zerg threat and victory was their's.

Executor Sabhur left the bright hallways of the nexus and greated Zeltior, Kelvena, and Xaniir.

"Excellent work! You have made me very proud Xaniir your battle strategy was perfect! Now with more then half of our combined forces still alive, we have the freedom to expand and control more resources and build up our forces even more!" Sabhur said with much enthusiasm.

"Of course sir, but im afraid me and Kelvena must travel with Zeltior to uncover some secrets..." Xaniir said carefully picking his words.

"Ahhh yes...the dark templar that saved my home..." Sabhur said casting Zeltior a small glance, "It will be my gift to him then, for saving my base."

Kelvena smiled slightly but could tell Sabhur did not like the turn of events. She could tell Sabhur held much animosity for the dark templar as well.

Suddenly Zeltiors face contorted as if in deep thought. Kelvena, Xaniir, and Sabhur all stared at him intently as he seemed to go into a lull.

After about 5 minutes Zeltior finally came out of it, with a vengeful look on his face.

"A terran force has attacked my camp! They have pillaged everything!" Zeltior said with hate in his eye's.
